My name is Cori.

Welcome to this very simple,

Easy meditation that we can do together.

First of all,

Make sure that you're sat in a comfortable position.

Straighten your spine.

Relax your shoulders.

Check in with your face and see if you can relax your jaw.

Maybe your tense around your eyes or across your forehead.

Close your eyes and start to focus on your breath.

Manipulating your breath so that it's slower.

Starting to calm down the mind and the body just by breathing slower.

And with your eyes closed,

You're more capable of using your inner sight,

Even though you can use your third eye with your eyes open.

If you'd like to practice that,

Just find a spot there in front of you and relax your gaze,

Staring at the spot with your eyes open.

Either way,

You're going to do the same internal exercise.

In your mind's eye,

Imagine that your breath is connected to the waves crashing up onto the beach.

Every time you breathe in,

Your breath pulls the wave up towards you.

And every time you exhale,

The wave draws away back towards the ocean.

You can imagine that you're sat there on the beach and you have this energy connection to the water.

Your breath and the water are in sync,

Acting as one together.

By placing all of your focus and attention on the visualization,

You're actually making the rest of your brain incapable of focusing on anything else.

So this is a very good focusing exercise to do.

Pull in the wave towards you with your in-breath.

See it coming all the way up to your toes.

And then as you exhale,

Watch the wave draw back towards the ocean.

And as you slow down your breath,

As you deepen your breath,

Watch the ocean mirror your breathing.

If your breathing is fast,

Your ocean waves will be fast.

If your breathing is at a nice,

Peaceful,

Slow pace,

Then the waves of the ocean will be mirroring that pace too.

See if you can breathe a nice,

Long,

Slow,

Deep breath in.

Pull in the wave and hold it there as you hold your breath.

And then exhale.

Watch it pull away from you and hold on the empty.

Watch the wave hover there in space,

Waiting for you to resume your breathing.

Allow yourself to feel completely connected to the ocean.

Enjoy the feeling of being connected to nature.

At one with the waves,

Your breath is their breath.

Sit for as long as you need to,

Connected to the waves of the ocean.

Namaste,

My friend.
