My name is Cori.
I am a therapist and spiritual teacher.
And I'm going to guide you into a meditation that will bring us back into heart space so that we can connect back into oneness,
Become more humble,
More gracious,
More compassionate,
Just as a little reminder of who we really are.
If you haven't done so already,
Make sure that you're sat comfortable and your spine is nice and straight.
And you've closed down your eyes.
Shut out the rest of the world.
For this is your time.
Your meditation time is always precious.
It's an opportunity for you to become still and quiet and observant,
Which doesn't happen very much in the rest of our day.
So let's allow this time together to be blissful,
Just for being able to sit quietly.
Taking a nice big deep breath and start to slow down your breathing so that you can,
In turn,
Start to relax the rest of your body.
Get connected to your breath.
So feel it as you breathe in and breathe out.
Taking our mind and imagination somewhere else straight away.
Imagine that you're sat on a beautiful big stone,
Like a big boulder.
Take all your attention down to your sit bones.
Use your imagination and play.
Imagine whatever it is that your sit bones are currently on are actually this big solid stone.
And as you look around,
You can envision wherever you want it to be,
Outside in nature somewhere.
I have huge mountains in the background with pine trees all over.
Over behind my shoulder to the right,
Lower down the hill,
There's a creek and I can hear the water running.
It's a nice clear day,
Just me and the rock.
I'm starting to feel the energy of the rock in my sit bones.
The rock feels slightly cool.
I can feel the coolness coming through my clothing and it feels super solid,
Like it's holding me steady,
Like hands,
Hands of God just holding underneath my spine,
Keeping me safe and stable.
The rock has a vibration and a tingling sensation,
Like a buzzing alive feeling in it.
And if I really,
Really focus,
I can feel that.
I'm starting to breathe into my heart center,
Focusing more on where my breath goes in my body,
Pulling your breath into your heart center,
Bring it down into your chest.
Feel it as if it's swirling around your lungs and your ribs and then settling into your heart space in the middle of your chest and around your physical heart.
Starting to activate the heart frequency.
Every time you breathe in,
Breathe in as if you're breathing in this fresh air around you,
Like an activation,
An awakening kind of breath.
You're pulling that down into your heart space.
You can visualize there in the middle of your chest that you have your lotus flower or maybe a love heart that's starting to open and grow.
Every time you breathe in,
You water,
Energize that space.
And every time you breathe out,
Your shoulders relax,
Your face relaxes.
Just get comfortable in your body.
Keep your spine nice and straight.
See if you can start to feel a warmth in the center of your chest.
Create a warmth with your breath,
Like you're stoking the fire,
Activating your heart chakra to just wake up,
Come alive,
Start to bring in that sense of openness,
That swelling of love,
That swelling of joy in the middle of your chest.
Allow it to feel open and spacious and vulnerable.
Open,
Spacious,
Vulnerable,
Like you're unlocking the door to your heart chakra and you're allowing it to just slowly start to bloom open.
In your mind's eye,
See your heart chakra as the balancing chakra in your body.
I like to imagine it in my mind as if,
Just like Jesus on the cross,
Very interesting metaphor,
Just like Jesus on the cross with his arms spread out wide.
That line of where your arms are as it goes across the heart chakra is the divide.
It's the divide of your energy,
Your internal spirit,
Your body inside.
So all down below is the physical and the head is the spiritual.
And your heart in the middle of that line is the balancing chakra between those two worlds,
The spirit and the material.
The two aspects of who you are,
The two domains of your humanity,
The spirit and the material.
That's why the cross itself is such a powerful metaphorical shape because it represents that which we are.
And your heart chakra is right there in the middle,
Balancing you between logic and all non-material.
The two sides of the brain,
The left side of logic and the right side of creation and connection.
It's all symbolic inside of your being.
And right now you're just residing in the balance in the middle of those two parts of who you are.
You're waking up your heart chakra so you can see in that space and you can feel that dwelling inside of your body.
It feels open and warm and spacious.
You'll feel it kind of resonate and move up into your throat.
You'll feel it resonate,
Move down into your tummy.
Allow it to just keep opening up so that you can sit all cozy inside.
Your heart space is like a guidance from both worlds.
If you can pull yourself into this space when you make decisions,
If you can pull yourself into this space when you are learning and growing,
If you can be in this space where you meet people and interact with people,
This space is the purest place you can be.
This is where you'll keep a connection to your humbleness.
You'll keep a connection to that part of you that knows oneness.
From this place there is no judgment,
Just understanding.
If you can practice daily just to breathe into your heart space and feel this connection,
Recognize the warmth in your chest,
Recognize that feeling of expansion,
Openness.
You'll know that you're in your heart space.
These are your physical indications.
Recognize the sensation in your body if you can as if you're taking an imprint.
You're taking a screenshot of this feeling so that you know when you create this in your body that you're in the right place.
And from this place you will truly be guided from your higher self,
From source,
From God,
From love.
You'll be good from this space.
From this space you'll be able to set boundaries with love,
You'll be able to say no with love,
You'll be able to discern with love.
Your heart space is the secret,
This is the secret guys,
This is the magic,
The mojo that keeps us from spiritual ego,
That allows us to stay grounded and connected to that which is important,
That greater power that we all seek connection to.
When you drop into heart space you're the closest that you can get in your living human body to home.
Just take some long,
Slow,
Deep breaths in this space.
Remember that this is like a compass,
Like a north star.
So if you're going off your path and you drop into heart space it'll pull you back,
You'll see more truth,
More clarity.
Relax your shoulders,
Soften your face,
Keep your spine straight.
Allow the warmth of your heart chakra to start to spread down into your arms as if it's slowly glowing over your shoulders,
Down into your forearms,
Down into your elbows,
All the way down into your hands.
Let it spread up the back of your neck into your head.
Let that glow of your heart space spread down into your abdomen,
All the way down into your hips,
All the way down your legs,
All the way down to your feet.
Let your soul come through and be present in that warm glow throughout your whole body.
Take a big,
Deep breath and imagine that you're capturing all of that inside and you're putting a cloak on it.
Big,
Deep breath and then as you breathe out just relax your shoulders,
Slowly open your eyes and come back into your space.
Back into the room,
Back into this group,
Into this beautiful world.
