Body awareness comes from practice. Through physical stimulus, we create a physical sensation. With physical sensation, we can also activate energetic responses in the body. These skills can then be used on other physical objects such as things, plants, animals, and people. Having an awareness of our own energy and other objects' energies, we have an inner understanding of connection and interaction at all times.

Come into a comfortable seated position.

Close your eyes and prepare yourself for this meditation with Kori.

Let's see if I can share some tips and tools with you today on how to become more aware of energy,

Sensations in your body,

Sensations around your body,

Connecting to your energetic bodies and feeling sensation through those bodies.

Let's get started.

Take a nice big deep breath and just clear your energy as if you're wiping a board,

A blackboard or a whiteboard clean of everything that's on there.

Let your nice big deep breaths represent a sweep like a physical clean in your energy.

So take a big breath in.

Hold it at the top for a few seconds and then feel the cleanse,

Feel the wipe and then as you breathe out imagine that your surface area is completely clean.

A nice big deep breath in once again.

Hold it at the top.

Imagine you're sweeping through the inside of your energy and your body and you're cleansing that as you breathe out and then settle into a normal rhythm in your breath.

Just breathe normal.

The easiest way to start to become more aware of energy and sensation is to actually create physical sensations in your body.

So start by taking your thumb and your first finger,

Joining them together as if you were making a mudra with your hands and then just tap on the tips of your fingers.

So your thumb and your first finger are just tapping together very gently.

The idea is you shut out the rest of the world.

Paying no attention to any other physical sensations in your body at this time.

Just really zoning in to this tapping feeling and action that you're doing right now physically.

Just feel it.

Feel everything about it.

Feel the sensation traveling up your arms.

See if you can focus just on your thumb for a few taps and be the receiver of your first finger tapping on your thumb.

What does it feel like for your thumb to be tapped on?

And then reverse it and take all of your energy and attention and focus into your first finger and feel the sensations of this action from the representation of the first finger.

What does the first finger feel like?

Where does the tapping sensation travel to from the tip of your first finger?

Where does it go?

Does it travel into your hand and stop there?

Or does the sensation travel further up into your wrist,

Into your forearm?

What about the sensation that's deeper than that?

What about the anticipation of the next tap and the creation of sensations that anticipation makes inside of your body?

Feel it,

Go into it.

Feel yourself predicting the tap.

And where does that anticipation or prediction create sensation in your body other than your fingertips?

Can you feel it actually in your brain?

Or do you feel the sensation maybe in your heart center?

Anticipation has a vibration.

It's like any other word in the dictionary or words that we use that aren't in the dictionary.

For example,

If you do light language,

Each one of those sounds,

Each one of those words has a vibration.

If you say the word,

Stop tapping on your fingers,

For example,

Just hold yourself still and say the word love.

Love.

Love.

Just repeat it out loud.

That word has its own energy.

And the energy of that word can be felt in the cells of your body.

Every word and sound that we can create has an energy and vibration.

And if you sit with just different words,

You'll feel the energy and vibration in those different words.

And you'll feel them in different parts of your body.

Different chakras will be activated by different words and their association with that chakra.

It's a really fun meditation to do.

If you write down 10 words at the beginning of your meditation and just sit and feel each one of those words.

This is quite advanced and I'm getting off track,

But I just wanted to give you an example of everything feeling like something in our awareness.

So back to physical sensations.

The next thing I want you to do is take your right hand over to your left hand and just run two fingers down the inside of your palm as if you're slowly scraping or slowly running your fingers over the surface of the inside of your left palm and just feel that sensation.

Feel the sensations running up your arm.

Feel your emotional feelings connected to the sensations.

Do you feel soothed?

Does the sensation feel irritating?

Does the sensation feel nothing?

No reaction,

No emotional connection.

Dive into this simple slowly moving your fingers across the palm of your left hand.

What's it creating in your body awareness?

And then stop.

Place your hand,

Your right hand back down on your lap or on your knee.

Close your eyes if you haven't.

If you open them for some reason,

Close them again so that you can really tune into your body.

Now imagine that you're actually doing the same physical thing that you were just doing with your palm of your hand,

With your fingers.

Imagine you're stroking it,

But you're not.

This is just imagination.

Create the same sensations,

Create the same internal reactions.

Feel as if it's happening physically,

Even though it's not.

You're just recreating it with your mind.

You can still feel it,

Can't you?

You can still feel that scraping or that moving across your palm sensation.

That's because right now you're connecting to your energy body.

You're connecting to another layer of you that's not necessarily around you.

It's not like your aura and it's not a layer that's separate from you,

Even though our left brain creates this separateness so that we can accept it more.

The energy body is an aspect of you that isn't separate from you,

But it is different.

It's not physical.

It's non-material,

But it is still constantly present as an aspect of you.

That energy body is what helps you to feel things that aren't actually physically happening.

Like when you remember something from your childhood and there was pain involved or a sensation involved,

It's your energy body that recreates that feeling.

Your energy body plays a key role in body awareness,

In becoming more acute,

More advanced,

In feeling everything.

Feeling your physical,

Feeling the non-physical,

Feeling opposing energies around you,

Feeling presence of energies in other realities,

Extending your ability to feel.

So the more you practice body awareness,

The more that extends into energy awareness,

The more that extends into remotely feeling energies and still having that awareness in your physical body through the other energy layers of your being.

It's like when you dream and you feel something in a dream,

It's not happening in this reality,

But it's happening to you.

Your physical body feels the sensations.

It's the same as thinking about sucking on a lemon.

You're not actually sucking on a lemon right now,

But your mouth responds.

Your mouth starts to water.

You can feel that pucker in sensation,

Even though in this physical reality,

You're not actually sucking on a lemon.

We're connected to all these other aspects of ourselves.

Let's do another physical body practice.

It doesn't matter which toe.

Let's go for a big toe.

Squeeze the tip of one of your big toes.

Just literally,

You know,

Squeeze it as if you were squeezing it between your thumb and your first finger.

Give it a squeeze.

Feel the sensation.

Feel the physical reaction to that squeeze.

Does it run into your foot?

Do you just feel it locally in your toe?

Does the sensation feel pleasant?

Does it feel uncomfortable?

Assess it.

Break it down.

Feel it.

And then stop squeezing.

Make sure your eyes are closed.

And now imagine that I'm squeezing that same toe for you.

Squeeze in that toe.

Doing exactly the same thing.

You're feeling the sensations.

Let me challenge you.

I'm moving to the next toe.

So I'm not squeezing your big toe.

I'm going to squeeze the toe next to your big toe.

I'm just going to squeeze the tip.

I want you to feel the sensations in that toe.

Feel the reaction that you're having to that sensation.

Feel where it travels to.

Does it travel up your leg?

Maybe you get a physical reaction that travels all the way up your spine.

Does it give you the tingles?

Does it just feel very local,

Just in the toe?

What do you feel?

And now imagine I'm stopping on that toe and I'm going to move to the toe next to that.

And I'm going to start to just squeeze the end of that toe.

You can feel it activating a reaction in this toe.

Maybe your foot wants to curl up a little bit and physically respond in that way.

Maybe it tickles.

Maybe it's uncomfortable.

You can stop and just relax.

Make sure that your spine is straight.

Your shoulders are relaxed.

Your jaw is relaxed.

That's basically how you practice body awareness.

Create a physical sensation first,

A real physical movement or a tickle or a pinch.

Some kind of sensation on your body and then stop doing it physically.

Do it mentally and activate it mentally and then feel all the physical feelings that you get from the mental stimulus,

From imagination that's created through your energy body,

That's transferred to your physical body.

And then what this is going to do,

The more you practice,

The more you'll find yourself in a life situation.

You're in a room full of people and before you know it,

You can download and feel everyone's energy in that room.

The resonance that comes from them,

The vibration that comes from them.

You'll feel it in some kind of physical sensation in your body.

Of course,

This is tuning into what we could call empathic powers.

Some people have empathic powers where they can actually feel the feelings of other people inside of their body.

But we're practicing feeling the physical vibration of the person.

This is slightly different.

We don't want to feel their emotions unless that's something that you want to practice.

What I'm talking about right now is feeling the vibration of Tom in the living room who's with you.

Feeling the vibration of the tree when you go for a walk.

Feeling the vibration of the rock that you hold in your hand.

You're tuning into the life force by choice,

The vibrational energy of everything on the planet.

You're reading it like a book.

And that knowledge and wisdom that you get from that object or plant or person or animal is basically downloaded into you as information that's useful.

Because then you can interact with that thing,

With an understanding of the vibration,

Where they're at,

The density,

The light,

The darkness.

It's all there for you to download.

And you can do exactly the same for yourself every moment,

Every day.

You check in and you feel.

You get that felt sense,

That inner awareness of where your vibration is at,

What you need.

Where's your light level?

Where's your darkness level?

That understanding,

That information is very useful because you can change your day.

You can change your moment.

You have a inner knowing of what you need every day because you know yourself.

You observe the feelings and the sensations and the energy inside of you and around you.

You're tuned in,

Your light is on,

And you're aware.

And that,

My friend,

Is a gift that we are all capable of.

But sometimes it just takes practice.

Practice practice,

Practice,

Practice.

Namaste,

My friend.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.
