This is a meditation to help you find yourself,

Find your self-belief,

Reactivate your self-belief if necessary,

If it's somehow something that you have realized that you have lost along the way.

Give yourself about 20 minutes,

Have yourself some tissues,

Some water,

A pen or pencil and journal or paper to write on afterwards and you can just quietly go through this process with me.

So if you've got all those things together,

Let's go,

Otherwise pause this recording and come back to it when you've got everything.

Get yourself comfortable,

You can be sitting,

You can be lying down,

Doesn't matter,

As long as you're comfortable.

If you think you're going to get a little bit cool,

Grab yourself a rug,

A blanket or something,

Make yourself warm and comfortable.

And just take a few slow,

Deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

And in and out.

And in and sigh the last one out.

Just aha,

Let it out.

And as you do that,

Allow your eyelids to gently close.

Keep breathing deeply,

Evenly,

In and out.

In and out.

And as you're breathing,

Feel your body starting to relax.

And as your body relaxes,

My voice goes with you.

And any sounds that you hear in the background,

They also help to relax you.

Keep breathing deeply and evenly.

I want you to imagine that we're going on a walk now.

You're coming with me on a walk through a nature trail.

It's a lovely sunny day.

It's warm.

The birds are tweeting,

These are buzzing.

There's a butterfly fluttering around the flowers.

Path is nice and wide.

It's easy to walk.

And you can hear the sand crunching underneath your feet.

Maybe you're even daring enough to go barefoot.

It doesn't matter.

Whatever your imagination allows,

Be there.

Just enjoy.

Enjoy feeling the warmth on your skin.

A slight cooling breeze may be lifting your hair.

Enjoy the sounds,

The sights,

The smells.

That smell of fresh air.

The smell of the sand baking in the sun.

The feeling of the warmth coming off the stones along the side of the path.

And as we walk down this path,

You see it's leading towards the forest.

It looks so cool and green and inviting.

The pathway meanders between two tall oak trees.

They're huge oak trees.

They're branches bending over to form an archway that you walk through.

You walk through this entrance to the forest.

And there's a degree of hush here.

It feels like everything's just taken a deep breath in and let it out as a sigh.

Ahhh.

There's a feeling of relaxation.

A feeling of being at peace.

A feeling that all is well in your world.

And you can just stand and look at the trees.

And if you look up towards the sky,

You'll see that the tops of the trees are gently moving in the breeze.

It's almost like they're moving their branches to say welcome.

Welcome to our space.

To the space of calm and quiet.

Take your time while you're here.

Enjoy being in this calm,

Quiet place.

Carry on following the path.

Following the path until you come to a house.

House is in a bit of a clearing,

There's a little bit of sunlight coming through.

It's like the sunlight is illuminating the front door of the house.

This place feels so familiar and feels so right to be here.

Walk up to the front door.

Look at the door.

What's it made of?

What colour is it?

Put your hand out onto the handle.

Feel the warmth from the sun.

And gently open the door.

And walk inside.

You don't need an invitation.

You don't need anybody to give you permission.

This is your house.

This is your place.

This is your place of safety.

You walk into the house and it just feels like home.

So relaxing.

So calm.

You walk through to the lounge and there by the big window is a lovely comfortable chair.

There's a rug on it,

A cushion and a table next to it.

Sit down in the chair and make yourself comfortable.

Scoot around a little bit while you do it.

Stretch out a little bit if you need to.

And your hand automatically goes to the book.

And you pick it up,

Glancing at the cover.

Oh,

This looks interesting.

And you start paging through it.

And as you page through it,

You realise that this is the book of your life.

The book that's telling the story of your life.

Glancing through the pictures and the words,

You smile at some of the anecdotes that you've noted in your life.

Some of the things that you did years ago,

Some of the things that you maybe only did as recently as yesterday.

You page back and forth through the book.

And suddenly you come across a blank page.

The story hasn't been written any further yet.

You get to choose what you want to write in the rest of the story.

But this doesn't need you to actually physically write in the book.

This is where your imagination comes in.

This is the time for imagining whatever it is that you want,

Whatever your heart desires.

Take a deep breath in and out.

And another deep breath in and out.

And you gently lean back in the chair and you start imagining,

What would I love to have happen in my life?

How would I love to see my life play out going forward from here?

What would really make my heart sing?

What does my soul yearn to do that I haven't done so far?

Or I've been too afraid or I haven't believed was possible?

What is that thing?

What is that that calls to me?

Take a few moments now,

Relaxing into this.

Allowing whatever comes to come to you.

Don't worry,

You won't forget anything.

You'll remember it,

I promise you.

How does it make you feel?

Does it make you smile?

Does it make you feel warm?

Does it make you feel a little bit trepid,

Uncertain?

That's okay,

Just notice these things.

It is all fine.

Just for now,

Allow yourself to dream.

Allow yourself to have this wild imagining of anything that's possible.

We're not worried about how it's going to happen,

When it's going to happen,

Or even if it's going to happen.

We're just here to dream,

To allow our wild imaginings to take us wherever we want to go.

When you've got a clear picture of us,

Put the book down and say,

I'll be back.

Stand up,

Take one last look around the lounge,

Walk out the door and close it behind you.

Turn and look at the house and mentally say,

I'll be back.

I can come back whenever I like.

Walk along the path,

Back out through the forest,

Between the two tall oak trees,

With little branches arching over the pathway.

Walk out onto the path in the field,

Which is open,

Grassy,

The birds,

The butterflies,

The bees,

The ants,

The warmth,

The breeze on your cheek,

The breeze on your skin,

The warmth on your body,

On the sun.

Just keep breathing gently and evenly.

When you're ready,

Take a deep breath in and out.

I'm going to count you backwards to five.

One,

Two,

Three.

Wriggle your fingers and toes,

Rub the tips of your fingers together.

Four,

Five.

Stretch your arms above your head.

Have a big yawn if you need to and stretch and gently open your eyes.

And when you're ready,

Have a good drink of water and then grab your journal and start writing what did you see when you were sitting in the chair in the lounge in that house?

What came to you?

What were your heart's desires?

What were your wild imaginings?

Write it out in as much detail as you can remember.

You can always go back again if you've forgotten something.

You can always go back if you want more details.

Take yourself,

I don't know,

Maybe five,

Ten minutes even,

Maybe a bit longer if you need to,

Pause this meditation until you've finished writing it out.

If you get interrupted,

Rather stop them and come back to it later.

Then when you've finished writing it,

Put it on one side and go about your day.

And then tomorrow you come back and you read what you've written.

Perhaps read it out loud to yourself.

And do that every day for the next 30 days.

Read out your wild imaginings,

Your heart's desires,

What you want to achieve,

As if it has already happened.

Keep going.

30 days makes a difference,

And if you can say it out loud,

So much the better.

Let me know how you get on with this meditation.

I'd love to hear back from you.
