Commitment number six of the 15 commitments of conscious leadership is a commitment about integrity.

From our perspective,

Integrity is energy.

We're in a state of integrity when we are allowing for the free flow of energy all throughout our system.

Conscious leaders learn to pay attention to anything that interrupts the flow of energy.

In order to support us in this exploration,

We introduce the idea of the four pillars of integrity.

If a leader is to be in integrity,

They're going to take responsibility,

Feel their feelings,

Speak their truth,

And keep their agreements.

The meditation for commitment number six is actually a listening meditation where I will guide you into a listening state.

And if you're willing,

You'll discover any place where there's an integrity breach in your energetic system.

So before we begin this meditation,

Simply ask yourself this question,

Are you willing to discover any places where you're out of integrity?

This meditation is an integrity inventory.

So again,

Are you willing to discover any place where you're out of integrity?

If the answer to this is yes,

Then I invite you to proceed with this listening meditation.

During this meditation,

It's often helpful to keep nearby a pen and paper because I will guide you through a series of questions.

And as you listen for the answer to these questions,

Things will come up.

It's useful if you can just simply write down whatever comes to you as you do your integrity inventory.

So with a willingness to discover any integrity breaches and a pen and paper handy,

Begin by simply allowing yourself to come into this present moment.

As usual,

We'll use the breath to do this.

So simply take a few deep conscious breaths.

And a conscious breath is one where you're placing your attention on the breath.

So following the breath down and in,

Deep into the belly.

And then following the breath all the way out,

Completing your exhale.

And then begin another deep conscious breath,

Simply being with this breath.

The breath is always in the now moment.

And now allow your breathing to return to normal.

And if you haven't already,

Let your eyes come closed.

And as you rest in this now moment,

As you rest in presence,

Simply allow yourself to surrender to being.

So much of our lives are filled with so much doing.

But in this moment,

Could you just simply allow yourself to be.

And be.

And be.

And as you rest in beingness,

I invite you to attune the ear of your heart,

To listen deeply to what might come to you as you explore your full aliveness,

Your energetic wholeness,

Your state of integrity.

This is not a presencing practice that you need to work at or effort at.

All you need to do is listen receptively.

You don't have to figure anything out.

I'll simply guide you through some questions related to the Four Pillars of Integrity.

And as these questions come forward,

Simply sit and listen.

And if anything comes to you,

Just take your pen and paper and jot it down.

Let's begin with the first pillar of integrity,

Taking 100% responsibility.

In this part of the meditation,

We're looking for any place in our life where we're not owning our 100% responsibility.

Any place that we're taking less than 100% responsibility and living in victim consciousness.

Or any place where we're taking more than 100% responsibility and living as a hero over functioning.

So begin with this simple question.

Just repeat it to yourself and then listen for the answer.

Is there any place in my life where I am taking more or less than a hundred percent responsibility?

Another version of this question.

Is there any place in my life,

Any relationship or situation,

Where I'm blaming or complaining?

Any place where it feels like I'm at the effect of another person,

Situation,

Circumstance,

Or condition?

And again,

All you're doing is listening.

And if a situation or person or circumstance comes to you,

Just jot it down.

Another question is this.

Is there any place in my life,

A relationship or a situation,

Where I'm taking more than a hundred percent responsibility?

Maybe I'm taking responsibility for other people's feelings or other people's happiness.

Or maybe I'm just taking more than a hundred percent responsibility for the outcome of a situation.

So just notice any place where you're over functioning.

Taking more than your hundred percent.

And if anything comes to you,

Just jot that down.

The second pillar of integrity is feeling our feelings.

So in this part of the meditation,

We're listening for any place in our life where we haven't felt our feelings all the way through to completion.

And again,

You don't have to work at this.

Just see if anything comes to you and to your open listening heart.

Begin by asking yourself this question.

Is there any place in my life where I haven't felt my fear all the way through to completion?

Maybe I've denied it or blocked it or repressed it.

Is there any situation in my life where I haven't felt my fear all the way through to completion?

Next,

Is there any place in my life where I haven't felt my sadness all the way through to completion?

Sadness is the feeling associated with loss.

So you might listen for any place in your life where you haven't fully felt your loss and let the sadness go all the way through the body.

Next,

Is there any place in my life where I haven't felt my anger all the way through to completion?

Again,

Maybe I've repressed it or suppressed it or it's coming out sideways in passive aggressive ways.

Again,

Just listen and see if any people,

Circumstances,

Situations come to mind where you haven't felt your anger all the way through to completion.

And if any come up,

Just jot them down.

And then check and see,

Is there any place in my life where I haven't felt my joy all the way through to completion?

Often we're more afraid of our joy than we are of our anger or sadness or fear.

So is there any place in your life where you haven't fully felt your joy?

And then finally,

The fifth core feeling,

Is there any place in my life where I haven't felt my sexual feelings all the way through to completion?

Sexual feelings are the feelings of attraction and the feelings of creation.

So is there any place in my life where I haven't felt the feeling all the way through to completion in the body?

Any place where we repress or suppress,

Avoid,

Or project our feelings rather than feel them,

We interrupt the flow of energy.

This becomes an integrity breach because the full aliveness isn't allowed to circulate throughout our whole body.

So you're just listening for any place where you're blocking the flow of energy in the form of emotion.

Just doing a personal inventory.

The third pillar of integrity is speaking our truth.

Here we're looking for any unsaid.

So just simply ask yourself this question,

Is there any important relationship in my life where I haven't fully expressed myself?

I haven't said everything I have to say.

Another question around unsaid is this,

Are there any meaningful relationships in my life where I have any withholds?

Thoughts,

Feelings,

Wants,

Desires,

Stories,

That I'm withholding from another important person in my life?

Another question is this simple one,

Is there any place in my life where I'm not telling the truth,

Not telling the truth to myself or to others?

Any place where I'm distorting reality as I experience it,

Where I'm lying?

All unsaid's create an integrity breach.

It takes energy to withhold,

To lie,

To not reveal ourselves.

And finally the fourth pillar of integrity is being impeccable around our agreements.

So simply ask yourself this question with a listening heart,

Is there any place in my life where I have not or am not keeping an agreement?

An agreement is anything you've said you would do or anything you said you wouldn't do.

And you're just listening to know any place in your life where you have a broken agreement,

An unkept agreement with yourself or with other people.

And whatever agreements that have not been kept come to mind,

Just simply write them down.

So in this meditation we're just listening.

We begin with a willingness,

A willingness to know any place in our life where there's a glitch,

An integrity breach that's keeping us out of full aliveness because we're not facing it and dealing with it.

So now you probably have a few names or situations written on a sheet of paper.

Places where you're not fully in integrity.

And as you look over that list,

Begin by simply giving yourself a breath of love and acceptance for being just the way you are.

It's not very useful to judge or criticize ourselves for these integrity breaches.

Far more useful to simply accept ourselves,

To love ourselves,

To be kind.

And then go a step further and see if you'd be willing to face and clear up these breaches.

This can be done by a simple change in attitude.

Wherever you're taking less or more than a hundred percent responsibility,

Simply stand in the integrity of 100% responsibility.

Choose to end blame and criticism,

To end heroine and over-functioning.

And then with your unfelt's,

Simply take each of them one at a time.

Feel the feeling in your body and just let the body have its experience of the feeling,

Whether it be sad,

Anger,

Fear,

Joy,

Or sexual energy.

Just let the body feel its feeling.

And then with unsaid's,

Are you willing to just go simply speak your truth,

Clean up lies,

Reveal withholds,

Tell your stories,

Wants,

Desires,

To meaningful people in your life from whom you're withholding.

And finally,

Are you willing to clean up your broken agreements?

Just take responsibility with the simple words,

I didn't keep my agreement,

And I want to take responsibility for that.

Every single time you step into integrity and you clean up an integrity breach,

You'll experience a spontaneous flow of energy,

Aliveness,

Life force going through the body.

That's the experience of integrity.

And as you feel more and more of that uninterrupted flow of energy,

There'll be more and more available to create,

To connect with other people,

To live life fully as a conscious leader.

I encourage you to periodically come back to this meditation inventory.

Take all the time you need to just listen,

Trusting the universe to make known to you in its right time,

Any place where you are out of integrity,

So that you can take the direct step of coming into full integrity.
