Hello everybody.

So this is a guided meditation on how to be yourself.

If you want to join along,

You can sit down and close your eyes,

But you could also just listen to this while you're walking somewhere or having on in the background while you're pottering around your house.

The thing about being ourselves is that you could say it is the purpose of our lives.

And when we are not being ourselves,

We attract all sorts of mental and material complications into our lives.

And when we are being ourselves,

We connect to flow and peace and real love.

So it's so so important that we can learn to be ourselves.

So just begin by bringing your attention to your body.

So when I say your body,

I mean just recognize the natural experience of the body.

There is a heart beating in your chest.

Your belly might be moving.

You might become aware of your shoulders.

Do they feel heavy?

Do they feel tired?

Maybe you feel your feet on the ground or beneath you.

Just feel the body and become aware of what the body is feeling right now.

So does your body feel open or is it rigid?

Is there tension in the body?

Does it feel relaxed or is it full of stress?

And it's important we feel our body instead of just thinking the thoughts because this is how we really can determine when we're being ourselves and we're not being ourselves.

Our body lets us know.

So right now we're just going to begin to recreate moments when we're not ourselves and feel that through the body.

So at the moment you might already be in a phase where you are repeatedly not being yourself.

It might be connected to a relationship that you're in.

Maybe you're in a relationship where you are acting.

You're performing.

You're playing the role of the good partner but it's not really what you want.

It's not really who you are.

This might be something connected to your parents.

Maybe you're hiding your true self from your parents.

Maybe when you have contact or communication with them you tell them things that they want to hear but it's the truth that you want to say.

So right now just begin to feel how this is to not be yourself.

To perform a different person.

To be an actor.

And we're not doing this to blame ourselves.

We're just doing it to recognize that this is a strategy.

It's something that we do.

We might do it at work.

We might do it when we meet new people.

It's a strategy and it's a strategy that we do because we're scared.

And if you go a little deeper with this you might ask yourself what exactly am I scared of?

Why do I feel the need to be someone I'm not?

And the answer that you might land upon by yourself is that you were scared of not being liked.

You were scared of not being loved.

So just begin to open up to that fear.

Maybe you can really feel it in your chest,

In your belly,

In your body.

I am afraid of not being liked.

I am afraid of not being loved.

And maybe you can even go further and really deepen into the experience.

Maybe you can feel the energy of they don't like me and they don't love me.

I'm on my own.

And we're not doing this to torture ourselves.

We're just doing it to face the experience that we're trying to avoid.

Our journey in life is really not to make everyone like us.

But it's to find the people who like us when we're truly ourselves.

But we're never going to find those people if we don't have the courage to risk not being liked and not being loved.

So the only way to know that the friendship you have,

The love you have is real,

Is to be completely yourself.

So let's start to move into the feeling of you being true to yourself.

Of you just choosing you.

You're no longer performing.

You're no longer masking.

You're just doing what you want to do and what you don't want to do.

So maybe that means you're saying no to things.

It could mean you're not smiling at people you don't want to smile at.

Maybe it means you quit your job and run the risk of people judging you.

Maybe it means leaving a relationship and upsetting that partner.

And maybe it means following a dream.

Maybe it means becoming what you always wanted to become.

And just see if you can feel this authenticity in your body.

This sense that I am being exactly who I'm meant to be.

And yes,

There's fear there.

And yes,

There might be worry of abandonment.

But can you also just feel the potential,

The glorious potential of you becoming completely yourself.

Can you feel this potential,

This energy inside your body?

This energy that is ready to create and move and make bold choices.

And just stay in this feeling.

Because this feeling of excitement,

This feeling of expansion,

And this feeling of potential is really the feeling of love for you.

And maybe you'll notice this.

This feeling of honoring who you really are is actually greater than any love you can get from anyone else.

All our efforts,

All our work to secure love from outside ourselves.

But this feeling of just giving yourself permission to be completely you is actually the greatest love you'll ever find.

The love of your life is actually you.

And that love reaches completion when you just allow yourself to be exactly who you are.

And the universe,

This all-loving,

All-kind,

All-generous universe wants you to be yourself.

You've been designed just to be yourself.

Your conditioning in your history has told you that it's not safe to be yourself.

But the universe,

The all-loving universe designed you to be yourself.

So as you bravely step into the version of you that you were always meant to be,

Know that the universe will support you in many magical,

Unexpected ways.

So right now,

Just before this meditation ends,

Can you think of one thing?

Can you think of one brave action?

Something that you could do even today.

Maybe it's setting a boundary.

Maybe it's booking a ticket.

Maybe it's signing up for something or taking out a blank page in a pen.

What is the one thing you could do right now to move you closer to being yourself?

And can you do that?

Okay.

Thank you.

Love you.

Bye-bye.
