Our breath serves as a guide for so many aspects of meditative practices. This meditation will draw attention to the gift it gives us in receiving and releasing whatever we need to in the present moment, establishing compassionate boundaries for ourselves as well as extending this offering to all living beings.

Let us begin with our breath,

Tuning in to its natural rhythm.

As you do so,

Notice how supported you feel and adjust accordingly to allow your body to feel safer,

To feel at ease.

Allow your breath to support this effort of being more focused on cultivating the sense of peace.

And even if peace isn't present fully or at all,

Take notice to what your body is trying to tell you now.

What's been stored up from the day or what hasn't been addressed that can be addressed now.

Meet these sensations and thoughts and feelings with your kind attention as best as you can.

If it feels too intense to do so,

Once again,

Draw your focus to your breath,

To the parts of your body that feel most supported by the surface beneath you.

If it helps,

You may even put your hands on your abdomen to really ground yourself into this moment.

Whether your eyes are open or closed,

Feel like you can reach a further sense of inward exploration.

Again,

Trusting your instinct of what feels safest for you now.

That provides you comfort.

And for those areas that don't feel comfort,

Give them space and observe them for as long as you can.

Like all other sensory cues,

They will shift.

The more we can activate a sense of curiosity around them.

And it's with this spirit of curiosity.

I encourage you to continue exploring this present moment as it is.

Allow your breath to guide you back to this moment whenever your mind wanders.

The breath acts as that tool as well as a teacher for what it means to naturally tune into what we need.

As well as allow ourselves to release whatever we need as well.

Feel free to offer yourself loving kindness and tensions in this way.

Breathing in whatever you need.

Maybe even saying it to yourself with each inhalation.

As well as letting go of whatever you need.

Allow yourself to share that with yourself after each exhalation.

I will offer some ideas now but feel free to use your own with each breath you take.

May I allow myself to feel abundant.

May I allow myself to release any thoughts of scarcity.

May I allow myself to practice self compassion.

May I release any judgments that hold me back from living authentically.

May I let in forgiveness.

May I let out criticism.

May I let in calm stillness.

May I let out anxieties.

May I let in meaningful work.

May I let go of any self doubts.

May I let in support and community.

May I let go of isolation and disconnection.

May I let in play and celebration.

May I let go of anything that no longer serves my well-being.

May I let go of anything that no longer serves my well-being.

May I let go of anything that no longer serves my well-being.

May I let go of anything that no longer serves my well-being.

Anyone you hold dear.

Anyone who has supported you and wishes you well.

And even those you may not know well.

Allow yourself to imagine spreading this kind awareness and light.

This release.

This compassionate awareness of all that is present.

And all that is to come.

Trusting that we've set the stage to embody safety and peace and genuine connection with ourselves and each other.

Take a few more conscious breaths before slowly returning back to the room.

Continue to take your time transitioning back to the space.

Feel free to be with the entirety of your experience.

Reflecting on what you've cultivated in this practice.

Remember returning to the rest of your day.

Thank you for your practice and your presence.
