So come to a comfortable seat,

Roll your shoulders down your spine,

Maybe give your body a little wiggle,

Settling in to our current situation.

I am at a lake and so my plan is to go and offer yoga and meditation with a beautiful background but today it was just about showing up so that's what you're getting from me today.

So take some long slow deep breaths in and out focus 100% on your breath taking the time to wiggle and shift and then settle and as you continue to focus on your breath I encourage you to go within you know pratyahara is one of the limbs of yoga and it's about withdrawing the senses so you have these five senses and they can be distracting so the idea is to focus 100% within allow noises to noise feelings to be feelings and then as you continue to focus on your breath I encourage you to take a few deep breaths most of the time when we close down the eyes we aren't as distracted by visuals you know in this moment maybe you smell something maybe not and then maybe you taste something and maybe not so really just not focusing on those bringing them back in and what's happening inside of the mind I like to think of thoughts like clouds you know you could be sitting on the ground and look up in the sky and see like a little white bunny rabbit right so in my mind when that happens I say oh look a bunny rabbit and then not too long and maybe some people look at it maybe not but like after not too long the bunny rabbit kind of dissipates and then I look at the next cloud oh baby dragon so the focus is to really do that within your mind as a thought comes up here's the thing a lot of the times we think we are our thoughts and that's why we want to disengage from the external world and start to focus internally to have less emotion around the thoughts allow the thought to pop up just like oh look a rabbit be like oh look I'm not good enough and then notice that once you acknowledge the thing it usually dissipates here's where we get lost I think humans are amazing because we we see a thought and then we go down the whole storyline of the thought so don't acknowledge the thought oh wow and then watch it as it kind of floats by and dissipates into nothingness notice if you're trying to make stories notice if you're going on a rant notice if you feel something in your body just notice and let it be what it is and also let it be and let it go come back to your breath long slow deep breaths in long slow deep breaths out and then notice what happens and again notice if you're getting lost in the thoughts or the you know like forming the pictures of the stories around what you see come back to your breath let it go long slow deep breaths in long slow deep breaths out I like to think of this as a mind dump where my head as I've been going throughout the day has been fuller and fuller of all the things I have to do and all the relationships and all the just like all the things and by taking this creative break in the middle of the day helps me to reset to zero in on or focus in on important thoughts important projects and then to kind of like recalibrate to go back about my day so I hope that this has been that for you as well and I appreciate you being here and I'm going to say namaste
