Welcome to our meditation.
Take the first few moments here to get as comfortable as possible.
If you need to grab some pillows or a blanket and do so just now.
Really allow yourself to be supported,
Allowing yourself to relax,
To soften.
You can do this meditation either seated or lying down,
Just making sure that you won't be disturbed.
And when you feel ready,
Allowing your eyes to close or simply taking a soft gaze.
Give yourself the permission now to relax,
To settle in,
Noticing how your body feels in this moment.
How does it feel to be in your body?
Can you notice the places that you might be holding on to tension?
The places in your body that feel tight,
Like you're gripping.
And with your awareness,
Allowing your body to soften,
To relax.
Remind yourself that in this space,
In this moment,
You're safe.
It's safe for you to soften.
It's safe for you to be still,
To just be here.
Become aware of what is alive within you,
Your own inner world.
Are there feelings or emotions that are perhaps stuck or bubbling away underneath the surface?
Can you take this time here to really allow yourself to feel,
To sit with and notice your own emotions.
Remind yourself that every emotion,
Every feeling is valid.
There is no such thing as a good or bad emotion.
They just are.
Ask yourself,
How do I truly feel?
If it feels good,
You can place your hands on your heart.
Ask yourself again,
How do I truly feel?
Be with whatever is there.
Acknowledge it.
See it.
There is power in acknowledging what is alive within.
It is safe here for you to feel.
And in your mind now,
Begin to visualize a sea.
It's a dark evening.
There are grey clouds above the sea.
There is a warmth in the night.
You know a storm is coming.
You begin to feel the first taps of rain against your skin.
They begin to get heavier,
Louder.
The waves begin to crash against the shore.
You might hear cracks of thunder and all of a sudden,
You look up,
You look around,
Noticing that even the storm has power,
Has its place.
And instead of feeling scared,
Feeling on edge,
You watch.
You watch as this storm clears what needs to be cleared.
It breaks,
The heat and the light begins to shine through the clouds.
Just a crack of light.
The rain begins to soften.
The clouds begin to disperse.
The sky returns to a shade of blue.
The waves gently kiss the shore.
The birds begin to chirp and you watch.
You observe.
Notice the calm that is after the storm.
The peace.
How the air feels smoother.
Like you can breathe easier.
How the peace returns again.
Sometimes when we get caught up in situations or feelings,
We can feel like we're in the midst of a storm.
We want it to pass.
We want it to go.
And even though it may be tricky,
Our storms also have a purpose.
They allow us to shed.
To let go.
To create space for new.
To create space for calm.
There will always be a calm after the storm.
There will always be a light,
No matter how dark it feels.
Wherever you are on your journey,
Allow yourself to be in it.
It is safe.
I want you to bring your hand onto your heart and the other onto your belly.
Taking a big inhale through the nose.
Hold your breath at the top.
And then slowly exhale.
Let it out.
Take another inhale through the nose.
Hold the breath.
And then exhale.
Let it out.
Now,
As you take these deep nourishing breaths,
I want you to imagine that you're letting go of anything that feels heavy.
Those feelings that storm.
Let it go through the breath.
Let's take a big inhale.
Hold and let it go.
Take a moment here to just acknowledge whatever is alive within you still.
To let yourself know that you're safe.
That what you feel is valid.
To acknowledge that there will always be a light.
There will always be calm.
No matter what you're going through right now,
It will end a cycle of new and old.
Of ends and beginnings.
Thank you for listening.
I hope you have a wonderful,
Splendid day.
