This was recorded to support the kickoff of a team offsite. The five-part sequence flows with arriving, emotional check-in, visioning for what's possible, job high point reflection, and then anchoring. This is a workplace variation of the Mindful Arrival practice.

I invite you to begin by finding a comfortable posture and it's just gonna be a couple moments so we can stay in the position we're in.

Maybe taking a deep breath,

Letting the eyes close,

Just lowering the gaze,

Just taking these first couple of moments just to arrive.

Noticing our body connected to whatever's supporting us,

Could be the floor or the chair,

Tuning into the sense of heaviness,

Weight and density,

Allowing ourselves to be grounded and noticing what it's like to be alive in the body.

Is there tingling,

Warmth?

You might notice if you're carrying any tension or tightness,

Maybe in the forehead,

Jaw or shoulders,

Maybe just by noticing,

There can be a softening to help us really arrive.

And from this place,

Noticing how we're feeling emotionally to silently naming whatever's there,

Could be excitement,

Fatigue,

Anxiety,

Joy,

Whatever's there,

Just naming it,

Noticing what that emotion feels like in the body.

Next,

I'll invite you to bring to mind what you might envision being possible for this time together and this team and the company and what could be the result of the collective effort,

Presence and participation.

Next,

I'll invite us to bring to mind something that we might be proud of or grateful for from the time we've been at this company since the beginning,

Since we started,

A moment that we shined our light,

That we made an impact.

Maybe a couple of things come to mind,

Or just one thing,

Just allowing ourselves to hold this memory,

Recognizing the goodness,

The skill and the ability to be a part of this moment and the quality that we have and that we're bringing here.

And then gently letting this memory fade away as we begin to bring this short practice to a close,

Noticing our breathing or noticing the chair or the floor that's supporting us,

Whatever is more comfortable.

Taking another deep breath,

Beginning to bring some gentle movement to the body.

If the eyes were closed,

Letting them reopen,

Stretching,

Twisting,

Turning,

Making our way back.
