Close down your eyes and settle right in.

Tonight's sleepy story is about to begin.

With a deep breath in and a big breath out,

Stretch out your body and let any wiggles come out.

Are your eyes still closed?

Let's take another breath in as we start to use our imagination.

Today we are going to learn how to be like an owl.

Did you know that owls can't move their eyes?

They have to move their necks to see all around them.

So let's sit up nice and tall with your back straight,

Just like an owl,

And take a big deep breath in and let all the air back out through your mouth.

Now keep breathing nice and gently as you move your head to look all the way up into the sky.

And move it back down and look all around you.

Take another big deep belly breath in and out through the mouth.

Can you hoo,

Hoo like an owl?

Now bring your shoulders all the way up to your ears and let them drop back down.

Can you hoo,

Hoo like a sleepy owl?

Fill up your owl belly and take a big breath in and exhale through the mouth.

Open up your arms and stretch out your wings as you're flying through the sky.

Can you hoo,

Hoo as quiet as you can?

Take a big breath in and fill up your feathery chest and let it all out as you close your eyes again.

Owls are strong and calm and peaceful.

And so are you.
