This meditation will walk you through a peaceful visualization where you are able to connect with a younger more impressionable version of yourself. You will have a chance to talk with them, help them to process their emotions and feel comforted by you. This came to me when I was working with my group on generational programs that cause us to not want to feel or show our deepest emotions.

Transcript

Let's begin in a seated or lying down position.

Make sure that you are very comfortable.

As we begin,

We are going to start with some breath work.

So go ahead and take a breath in through the nose and out your mouth.

Go ahead and do that three times.

Notice that with every breath in,

Your body sinks further into its place until you feel super connected with the couch or the bed,

Whatever it is you are in contact with.

Continue to focus on that breath.

See that the belly is expanding as you breathe in.

And as you breathe out,

Visualize that that breath is carrying any extra emotions or weight or toxins,

Whatever feels like it needs to leave now.

Just watch that leave the body.

And with this next breath in,

You're going to notice that there is a beautiful globe in front of your face.

And as you breathe in,

You are breathing in a little bit of that light directly into the lungs and into the abdomen and down to the root.

So each time you get a new breath in,

There's this beautiful,

Warm,

Glorious light coming in with it.

Notice that the globe is still able to stay there completely full of light.

Its light and love and warmth is infinite.

And so anytime you consume of that light,

It is not getting any dimmer and it is standing whole and strong just the way you left it.

Very good.

Now notice this light come closer to your face.

And as it does,

It's going to circle around to the top of your skull,

The crown area,

And it's going to enter providing light to all of the shaded areas in its way.

Notice that as this light comes in,

You feel a little bit more at ease,

A little bit more aware of your spirit and less concerned about your body.

Watch this as it goes into your throat area.

Again,

Just providing light for any dark or shaded areas,

Allowing for some space,

A feeling of connectedness,

Deep love and appreciation.

Next,

This beautiful globe is going to enter the heart area.

Here you will notice that the light turns a shade of green and watch as it mirrors the heartbeat.

So it's going to pulsate with that of your heart.

And this is a very calm pulsating.

Everything has slowed down.

And you can see that every time it pulsates,

It not only sends your blood around,

But it's also going to send this beautiful green light all around your body.

Now I want you to go inside that area and watch yourself as a small person.

Just fit right inside that little globe in your heart.

And while you're here,

Go ahead and look around and notice that you have been placed inside a beautiful garden.

There are so many different colors and flowers and plants and trees,

Maybe some birds or some butterflies.

You're just surrounded by a beautiful atmosphere and you feel very much at peace here.

So walk around a little bit.

Feel your feet in the grass below you.

Notice how soft it is.

But it's like you're walking on a pillow.

It's so forgiving and so soft.

I want you to walk over to the very large tree in the distance.

Notice that this tree is far bigger than any other here at this garden.

But it's calling to you.

So you walk towards it with each step,

Getting closer and noticing that this tree is in fact massive.

It's so big that it has this tiny little hole in it.

The perfect place for a young child to sit in and play in and hide away in.

Go ahead and walk towards that area.

And see that the sun is lowering,

But it is shining perfectly towards this tree.

So that you have direct view of this little cave inside that tree.

And I want you to walk in there.

As you get closer,

You can see that there is another version of you.

It is in fact a smaller,

More timid,

Little more unsure of themselves version of you.

And you notice that they are crying.

And I want you to feel for just a minute that they are sad.

You know what this feels like because this is you.

And you make the conscious decision to take this opportunity to go right up to that child.

Put your hand on their shoulder.

And let them know that you are here in order to soothe their pain.

That whatever they have going on,

You can listen to.

That you can be that friend that they absolutely need.

And I want you to assure them.

Sometimes big things happen to us when we are young.

Sometimes little things happen.

Either way,

It is okay that we get sad sometimes.

It is okay that we get angry.

It is okay that we don't feel like life is fair.

But you as an adult now know that there is value in our lessons.

And there is value in feeling those emotions.

So allow this little one to release those.

Simply tell them if they need time,

You will be there for them.

And you will sit here in this moment with them.

So that they don't have to be alone.

Say to that little child,

You are not alone.

I am right here with you.

And everything that you feel is valid.

And it matters.

And I want you to share with this child as well.

Any kind of advice that you want to give them in this moment.

If that means that you are simply going to be giving a hug.

Or allowing them to put their head on your shoulder.

But maybe it is also a message.

At this time,

I want you to ask your inner guides.

What you should tell this child.

And I am going to give you a minute to do so.

Now I want you to notice that the energy has shifted.

That now when you look into that sweet child's face.

You can feel love and light.

And you both understand that you are not alone.

And that it is okay for you to process your emotions this way.

I want you to notice that peace and serenity and joy have entered this union.

That you now have connected on a deeper level.

A level only you and your younger self could understand.

I want you to give gratitude for this moment.

And for this deep understanding and wisdom that you have gained today.

Take a breath in and just feel that gratitude go all over your body.

And when you are ready,

You can say your goodbyes.

In acknowledgement for this amazing experience.

And then walk back towards your garden.

Knowing that as you leave this place and this memory.

You get to take with you the lessons that you have learned.

And know that time holds no power over this healing.

That this kind of healing can be retroactive to all of those moments that you experienced as a child.

Where you needed a little extra love and a little extra support.

Send your intentions to be able to apply this friendship and connection to any of those moments in your memories.

And as you get back to that garden,

You notice that there's a door.

And you know that your work here is done.

So you walk over to the door and open it.

And now you can come back to consciousness.

So go ahead and breathe in.

And just start to move your toes and move your fingers.

And say one more gratitude for this moment.

And so it is.
