Welcome to this meditation.

I want to take a moment to talk about something we all face at one time or another.

Sadness.

It's a part of life.

And while it may be heavy right now,

I want you to know,

In time,

We can move forward and we can heal.

Take a deep breath in with me,

In and out.

Let's take this journey together.

Sadness has a way of making everything feel still,

Like the world is moving on without us.

But that's okay.

It's okay to feel what you're feeling.

You don't have to rush yourself.

The first step in moving on from sadness is to allow yourself the space to feel it without judgement.

Know that your emotions are valid.

Now,

I want you to gently bring your attention to one thing,

Just one,

That you are grateful for,

Even in this moment of sadness.

It could be something small,

A person who's been there for you,

Or even the fact that you're showing up here,

Right now,

Doing the work to heal.

Gratitude doesn't take away the sadness,

But it reminds us that even in tough times,

There is light.

The next step is to think about how you can move forward,

Even in small ways.

Maybe it's reaching out to a friend,

Taking a walk outside,

Or simply allowing yourself to do something that brings you peace.

It doesn't have to be big.

Small actions,

Over time,

Will help you regain a sense of control,

A sense of movement.

And remember,

Moving on from sadness doesn't mean forgetting what caused it.

It means finding a way to carry the memory without letting it weigh you down.

It's about recognising that you have the strength to continue,

Even when it feels hard.

When you are ready,

Take one small step towards something that makes you feel more like yourself.

I want you to know that it's okay to return to this practice whenever you need to.

Sadness isn't something you move past in one moment.

It's a process,

And that process may take time.

But each time you show up for yourself,

Like you're doing now,

You're taking another step toward healing.

Thank you for being here today.

Take this time,

Be gentle with yourself,

And remember that you are stronger than you think.

With time,

And with patience,

You will find your way forward.

Keep breathing,

Keep going,

And know that brighter days are ahead.
