All causes of inflammation are not obvious; some of them may surprise you. Many inflammation symptoms occur after exposure to these unexpected things and, sometimes, they contribute to chronic inflammation and sickness. To get inflammation relief, it's vital to understand these causes so you can minimise your exposure to them. This is the ultimate inflammation reduction technique.

Let's talk about three unexpected causes of inflammation and sickness.

Now you probably know that too much inflammation is a bad thing.

It contributes to sickness,

Tiredness and it can even make your skin age faster and none of us want that.

Now as a naturopath,

A nutritionist,

A medical herbalist and a human design analyst who's been in the health industry for 20 years,

I know a thing or two about inflammation and what I can tell you is that it does not always relate to a cold or a flu or another type of infection or an injury or pollution.

There are causes that you might say are,

That's unexpected and I want you to know about them because you may be exposed to them or exposing yourself to them on a regular basis.

Now these three causes of inflammation that are unexpected all have a common theme and that is that they increase the release of catecholamines in your body,

Which is a stress related chemical.

Stress increases inflammation in your body.

So essentially what I'm going to tell you is three causes of stress in your body that you might not think about that's actually increasing the inflammation that you already have.

So let's see what they are.

Unexpected cause of inflammation,

Number one,

Is telling a big,

Fat lie.

Yes,

Anytime you tell a lie,

Big or small,

It increases inflammation in your body.

Think about someone who is,

Oh,

I'm going to say maybe cheating on their partner and who is maybe telling a lie again and again and again and again to their partner about where they are,

About what they're doing.

Think about the amount of inflammation that is in their body every time they're telling a cover-up lie for what they're doing.

Now it doesn't have to be sinister as cheating on someone,

Telling a lie like that.

Anytime you tell a lie that stress level increases,

Yep,

That is inflammation in your body increasing.

Unexpected cause of inflammation,

Number two,

Is adopting a fake personality.

Now let's be clear from the beginning.

Faking it till you make it is not what I'm talking about here because faking it till you make it is really about finding the confidence within you to achieve something that you want to achieve that seems out there and like,

Ooh,

Kind of like,

Ooh,

Can I do this?

So faking it till you make it has a positive end goal.

We're not talking about that.

We're talking about adopting a fake personality,

Putting on this fake persona in the world.

And when you're doing that,

You know that you feel weird.

You feel,

Oh,

This isn't me.

But for some reason,

You feel like you need to adopt this fake personality.

You feel like it's safer to present this fake personality to the world.

And that's your business if you want to do that.

But what I want you to know is that every time you are layering that fakeness on top of who you actually are and presenting a fake version of you to the world,

Your body is noticing and your cells are kind of shriveling up a little bit inside.

Their wellness is shriveling up,

But they might be expanding with inflammation.

Sorry to tell you.

The third cause of inflammation that may be unexpected that I want you to know about is saying yes to something when you really want to say no.

Now we are all guilty of this at some point.

Some of us are more people pleasing than others.

Some of us just don't really have the confidence to say when we really want to say yes or no in a situation,

Any time that you say yes to a situation,

An opportunity that comes your way when you know inside you really authentically want to go,

No,

I don't want to do that.

But you do it anyway.

You go,

Hey,

Hey,

Claire,

Do you want to go to this party that's happening on Wednesday night and it starts at 1 a.

M.

?

You're like,

Oh,

I would much rather be in bed then.

I don't want to go to the party.

But you feel like you've got peer pressure and you're like,

Oh,

If I don't go,

I might miss out on something.

Oh,

They might not like me.

La,

La,

La.

But you go,

Yeah,

I'll go.

And then the entire time you're at the party,

You're like,

Oh,

My God,

I wish I was in bed.

I don't want to be here.

Aha,

That is creating resistance in your body.

That is creating stress.

That is increasing the level of inflammation in your body.

Now,

What is the remedy,

The antidote to this kind of inflammation in all of these circumstances?

It's authenticity.

It's being real.

It's being your true self.

Now,

You know that I've been in the health industry for a while,

Which is why I can tell you with confidence that one of the most healing things you can do for your body and for your mind is to live authentically,

Is to align with who you truly are.

Because when you do that,

Your body cells notice.

Conversely,

When you are not being the real you,

When you are telling a big fat lie,

Or when you are adopting a fake personality,

Or when you're saying yes to things,

When you really want to say no to these things,

All of these situations increase stress and inflammation,

But they also increase resistance in your body.

All of these things make you sick.

All of these things decrease your vitality.

You want to push all that aside if you want to decrease your inflammation and increase your level of well-being,

And you want to embrace who you truly are.

This is why I love human design,

Because it gives you a roadmap,

An instruction manual,

This body graph that has all the details of who you came here to be this lifetime,

Who you authentically are.

If you are someone who does not know where to begin,

If there's so many layers of conditioning that you go,

I don't know who I authentically am,

Then you may want to look into your human design,

Because it could change your life,

And it could actually help you decrease the level of inflammation and increase the well-being in your body.
