Welcome.

Take a moment to arrive just as you are.

You do not need to prepare yourself.

You do not need to leave anything at the door.

This time is simply for you to settle,

To soften and to notice what is already here.

Allow your body to find a comfortable posture.

Let yourself sit or lie in a way that feels natural.

Feel the surface beneath you.

Feel how it supports your weight without asking for anything in return.

Let the body sink into that support a little more with each moment.

As you settle,

Bring a light awareness to your breath.

Not to change it.

Not to shape it.

Simply to notice the rhythm that has been with you every moment of your life.

The inhale arrives.

The exhale leaves.

Nothing you need to do.

Only awareness.

If your mind wanders at any point,

Which it will,

You can return to these words,

Or to the feeling of your breath,

Or to the sensation of your body resting.

Each return is gentle.

Each return is enough.

Begin now to sense into the body from the inside.

Notice any points of contact,

The weight of your legs,

The settling of your shoulders,

The feeling of your hands resting.

Let all this be part of your experience without needing to manage it.

Now,

Bring your awareness to the sensations that might signal stress.

Stress often shows itself through the body long before we name it with the mind.

Perhaps there is a tightness somewhere,

A subtle clenching,

A sense of pressure,

A flutter of restlessness.

Or perhaps there is stillness.

There is no correct experience here,

Only noticing.

These sensations do not need to be changed.

They do not need to be fixed.

They are simply signs of the movement of thought.

When thought speeds up,

The body feels it.

When thought slows,

The body reflects that too.

This sensitivity is a form of intelligence.

Bring your attention back to the breath.

Notice the inhale.

Notice the exhale.

Let the breath be your quiet companion.

Let it be a place you can return to when the mind begins to wander again.

Let us softly now explore the nature of stress.

Stress looks like it comes from the outside.

From a task,

A deadline,

A person,

A responsibility.

But in truth,

Stress appears only when thought becomes compelling.

It arises from the thoughts believed in the moment.

Notice what happens inside you as you hear this.

Perhaps there is a sense of curiosity.

Perhaps something loosens.

Perhaps nothing changes at all.

All of this is welcome.

There is no need to push thought away.

Thought moves naturally.

It is like a stream that keeps flowing when left to itself.

It is only when we try to hold it still that it feels heavy.

You do not need to straighten thought out.

You do not need to fight with it.

You can simply watch it come and go.

Let your attention drift again to your breath.

It rises.

It falls.

It continues whether you pay attention or not.

It is a living reminder of the deeper intelligence running through you.

Now,

Notice the space beneath your thoughts.

You might sense it as a stillness.

You might sense it as a widening.

You might sense it as a gentle quiet.

Or you may not feel anything at all.

Awareness is not always accompanied by sensation.

Stillness is not always dramatic.

Sometimes it is simply the absence of tension.

Gently allow yourself to rest in this space.

Let your awareness soften and widen.

You do not need to concentrate.

You do not need to make anything happen.

This is about letting go of the idea that you must drive the experience.

You are invited instead to rest in what is already present.

Consider that clarity and well-being are innate.

They are not something you create.

They are uncovered when thought settles.

When the noise of overthinking falls away,

Even briefly,

A natural wisdom rises to the surface.

Let this idea resonate lightly.

Think of how water clears when it is no longer stirred.

The clarity was always there.

It was simply hidden by movement.

Your mind is the same.

It does not need you to purify it.

It only needs less stirring.

Return once more to the breath.

Feel the natural rhythm.

Feel the ease of each exhale.

Let it remind you that your body knows how to settle when the mind softens.

Let us explore the innocence of suffering.

When we believe stressful thoughts,

The body reacts.

Tension rises.

Breath shortens.

Heart races.

This is not a flaw.

It is not a failure.

It is simply the body responding to a moment of believed thought.

Imagine gently placing something heavy down.

A weight you did not realize you were lifting.

You can feel the shift in your body when the lifting stops.

When you stop believing stressful thoughts,

The body feels that release.

You do not have to force it.

It happens as thought loses intensity.

Let your awareness soften now.

Feel into the possibility that you do not have to carry anything in this moment.

Not the past.

Not the future.

Not a sense of responsibility to fix your experience.

Stress does not ask to be solved.

It asks to be understood.

Bring your attention to the spaciousness around you.

Not as a visualization.

More as a sense that this moment is bigger than the thoughts inside it.

There is room for everything you are feeling.

Room for every sensation.

Room for every breath.

If thoughts rise again,

Meet them gently.

You do not need to argue with them.

You do not need to believe them.

Let them be like clouds passing through the mind.

Temporary.

Changeable.

Not solid.

Now begin to sense the quiet mind beneath all of this.

It may be a subtle sense of stillness.

It may be the way your breath feels.

It may be the weight of your body resting.

Or it may be a kind of neutral awareness.

It does not matter how it appears.

Only that you know it is here.

This quiet mind is not something you reach.

It is something you fall back into when striving fades.

It is always available.

It is always beneath the noise.

It is your natural state.

Rest here for a moment.

Let yourself be held by this quiet.

Let it wrap around you like a soft blanket.

Let the body unwind.

Let the breath continue its gentle rhythm.

Consider now how healing emerges.

Healing arises when stress loses its grip.

When thought slows,

The body settles.

The chemistry shifts.

The tension releases.

Not through effort.

Not through control.

But through insight.

Through understanding.

Let yourself lean into this understanding.

Healing is not something you create.

It is something you allow.

It unfolds when the system is not being pulled into stressful,

Believable thought.

Your body knows how to rebalance.

It is built for equilibrium.

Return again to your breath.

Feel the inhale arrive.

Feel the exhale leave.

Let the breath remind you that your body is always taking care of you.

Even when your mind is busy.

Feel the body now.

Perhaps something has softened.

Perhaps something feels lighter.

Perhaps nothing has changed.

All of it is perfectly right.

This meditation is not about reaching a state.

It is about recognizing the truth beneath the state.

Rest in the deeper awareness behind everything you feel.

Behind every sensation.

Behind every thought.

You are not the movement within you.

You are the space that holds it.

Stay here for a few more breaths.

Let each inhale be gentle.

Let each exhale be freeing.

Feel the ground beneath you.

Feel your own presence.

Feel the quiet mind within.

When you are ready,

Begin to bring awareness back into the body.

Feel your hands,

Your feet,

Your legs,

Your shoulders.

Feel the support beneath you.

Feel the steadiness you are returning to.

Let the breath deepen slightly if your body invites it.

Let your eyes open slowly when it feels right.

Or remain here a little longer if your system wants more time.

Know that the quiet mind you touched is always here.

It is not fragile.

It does not disappear.

Stress may rise again,

But the quiet beneath it is unchanged.

You can return to it whenever you wish.

Take one more gentle breath.

Then another.

And carry this quiet with you as you move into whatever comes next.
