This practice begins with gentle grounding through body and breath, inviting you to settle into the present moment. From a 3 Principles perspective, control will never get us to calm as it creates more thought, and that takes us away from calm. As you rest here, you’ll be reminded that peace is not achieved by managing life but remembered in awareness. A soothing reset for stress and anxiety.

Welcome.

As you arrive here,

Allow yourself to get comfortable.

Let your body settle into whatever position feels most supportive right now.

Feel the weight of your body resting into the surface beneath you.

There is nothing you need to hold together in this moment.

Take a gentle breath.

Inhale softly,

Exhale slowly.

Let the breath be just as it is,

Without effort.

Notice how it rises,

How it falls,

How it continues without you needing to manage it.

This simple awareness of breath and body begins to draw you into presence.

You may notice thoughts about what you should be doing,

Or feelings that you ought to be more in control.

That is natural.

And whenever you notice them,

Gently bring your attention back here.

Back to your breath.

Back to the steady support beneath you.

And back to my voice.

From a three principles perspective,

Our feelings never come from controlling life.

Feelings come from thought believed in the moment.

When thought is busy,

Life feels tense.

When thought quiets,

Peace is already here.

It always has been here,

Waiting to be remembered.

You may notice the mind wanting to organize,

To fix,

To manage.

Simply allow that noticing.

You do not need to fight it.

It is only thought energy moving through.

Like clouds across the sky.

Like trains passing through a station.

You can let them move on without boarding.

You can let those clouds pass without needing to control them.

Take another gentle breath.

Feel the rise in your chest or belly.

Feel the release as you exhale.

Notice how each breath anchors you in now.

Notice how calm begins to surface.

Not because you created it,

But because you allowed the space for it.

Perhaps your body holds a sense of control.

A tight jaw.

Tense shoulders.

A restless energy in the chest.

See if you can bring awareness there without needing to change it.

Just notice.

Just breathe with it.

Often,

When you stop trying to manage a sensation,

It softens all on its own.

Control always looks like the answer.

We think if we plan more,

Work harder or manage others better,

Then peace will arrive.

But peace never comes from tightening the grip.

It comes from loosening it.

It comes from seeing that calm is never something to chase.

It is the ground beneath you already.

Return again to the breath.

Notice the gentle rhythm.

The natural flow.

Every time your mind wanders into control or stress,

This breath is here to bring you back.

Not as a technique.

Not as something to get right.

But as a reminder of presence.

As you rest here,

See if you can sense what is always untouched by thought.

The quiet awareness beneath all movement of mind.

That awareness is you.

It is steady.

It is calm.

It is not something you have to earn.

It has never left you.

Take one more,

Slow,

Gentle breath.

Feel the steadiness in your body.

Notice the calm that has revealed itself in this simple pause.

It was here before control.

It will be here after.

You can return to this reminder whenever you notice the grip of control.

Settle into your body.

Notice the breath.

Allow thought to move on.

And remember that calm is not out there to be found.

It is here.

It is who you are.

Thank you for being here.

Thank you for meditating with me today.
