Here's a few minutes to reconnect with truth from a three principles perspective.

And today,

Self-judgment,

Goodness gracious,

That can make a lot of noise in our heads,

Can't it?

And in the moment when we experience that self-judgment,

It feels so real.

It feels like it's telling us the truth,

Doesn't it?

And that's because as we experience those thoughts of self-judgment,

We start to feel certain sensations in our body.

Perhaps we feel urgent.

Perhaps we feel overwhelmed.

Perhaps it all just feels like it's too much.

Often,

We can be doing something like looking at that long list of jobs we have to do.

Or perhaps reflecting on the day that's just gone and thinking that we really haven't done enough.

Or perhaps we're somewhere scrolling and comparing ourselves with other people who do something similar to us.

That old comparison-itis.

And then the sensation makes it look like what we're seeing and what we're hearing in our mind is true.

Yes,

We are not doing enough.

Yes,

We're not doing as well as other people.

But the thing is,

All that's really happening is we're feeling thought in the moment.

We're feeling those judgmental thoughts.

We're not feeling any of our circumstances.

We're not really feeling that we're behind or not as good as someone else.

That's not true.

Your clever body tells you it's not true.

Because it really doesn't feel very good and that's how our bodies communicate with us and let us know whether our thoughts are trustworthy or not.

Now,

At this point,

It's really easy to start judging ourselves for judging ourselves,

Isn't it?

But I don't want you to look in that direction.

I want you to see the innocence behind habits of pressure and comparison.

Is it any wonder that we've grown up with those habits?

Many of us have been told we're not good enough on multiple occasions and the content we can look at online can really seem to reinforce that quite deeply.

Those things that you hear in your mind about how you're not doing well enough in whatever way that is,

Those self-judgmental thoughts,

Are just thoughts.

That's exactly what they are.

They're not your identity.

They're blips of energy going across the mind.

And this short talk is an invitation to a softer experience,

A softer relationship with those feelings,

With those thoughts,

With everything that passes through you.

To see the non-permanence of it.

To see that it is not you,

But it is thought and emotion passing through you.

Underneath the noise of the mind,

Underneath all the emotion,

Is your natural well-being.

It's always there.

And as you begin to detach a little from those thoughts and feelings,

You will see that that feeling of wisdom and presence and peace is available to you all the time.

I hope you found this short talk about self-judgment helpful.

And please do check out some of my other content on this subject and my meditations too.

Take care.

Much love.
