Here's a few minutes to reconnect with truth from a three principles perspective.

The first thing I want to acknowledge in this session is that the struggle with our emotions is exceptionally common.

In fact I would say there's probably not a human being on this planet who hasn't at some point been in the midst of some kind of emotional struggle.

The other thing that is common for us all is that we've been led to believe that struggling with our emotions is necessary,

That it's a job for us to do,

That it's something that we have to take on.

Somewhere along the line we've learnt that emotions are a problem to be solved rather than the truth of what they are,

Which is what I'm going to point you towards in this very short session.

From a three principles inside out perspective,

Emotions are created from thought,

Not from external events.

And hopefully as we begin to understand that on a deeper level,

It seems less and less like emotions are something for us to control,

Because you might have noticed it's really difficult to control most things outside of us,

But our thoughts are creating our emotions not those outside things anyway.

Now when we can see that emotions are thoughts taking form in the body as energy,

I often like to think of emotions as energy in motion,

E-motions,

Then different things occur to us to do about our emotions and our relationship with our emotions and our thoughts too begin to change.

What's really cool to see is that emotions are temporary and they don't really define us.

Yes,

We may have bought into the definitions that are available to us when we experience certain emotions on a regular basis,

But they're not ever the truth of us.

So what is the truth of us underneath our emotions and our thoughts?

Well the truth of us is peace,

Love and wisdom.

As the wonderful Jack Pansky said,

All we are is peace,

Love and wisdom and the ability to create the illusion that we are not.

When we are caught up in our thinking and believing our thinking,

That is when we create that illusion that we are not peace,

Love and wisdom.

But all that is,

Is our well-being,

Our innate resilience and our calm being covered up by our noisy emotional and thought experience.

So in that way,

Your peace and clarity are just waiting to be seen.

So how does that happen?

Well it happens through subtraction,

It happens through us allowing those thoughts and emotions to pass and not fighting them,

Because fighting is more thought and more noise.

So as you go on in your day now,

Having listened to this,

Maybe just notice.

Notice that there are times in your day when you can see your emotions and thoughts just passing through and you can notice yourself accessing that emotional immune system or psychological immune system,

Which is always taking us back to calm.

That's its whole mission.

Fancy having an amazing system whose job it is just to take you back to calm all the time?
