Take a moment,
Right here,
Right now,
To pause.
Start by bringing awareness to your breath,
No need to change it,
Just notice it moving in and out.
Now gently inhale through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Again,
A gentle breath in and a soft breath out.
Feel the ground beneath you.
Notice the way your body is supported by the chair,
The floor,
The earth.
Let your shoulders drop,
Unclench your jaw,
Soften your belly.
Feel into the space behind your eyes,
The length of your spine,
The weight of your hands.
This isn't a moment to fix,
To figure out or to overcome anything.
It's a moment to remember.
Overwhelm feels real because thought feels real.
But thought is not truth.
Thought is energy passing through awareness,
Not a permanent reality.
When your mind says,
This is too much or I can't cope,
It's not reporting the truth.
It's sharing a story,
Shaped by mood,
Momentum and state of mind.
Feelings are feedback,
Not about your life,
But about the thoughts you're entertaining.
Overwhelm is a signal,
Not a sentence.
So just for now,
Let go of needing to do anything with it.
Rest your attention in your body.
Feel this moment,
The stillness underneath the noise.
The presence that is always here,
Even if your thoughts are loud.
Even if the mind feels full.
There is a deeper part of you that is already at peace.
You are safe to rest there now.
