Aloha,

I'm Reverend Cindy Palos and I wanted to talk about the spiritual evolution of how we put the energy we get from spirit to work in our life.

And it's a long journey.

I've been on it for over 55 years.

My gosh,

I've lost track of how many years.

But it's a long,

Long journey.

But I started,

Of course,

When I was about 13 years old.

But the thing is,

In the beginning,

You have this thing called beginner's mind.

And it's kind of magical.

And it's like falling in love for the first time.

And everything is so wonderful.

And I remember reading every book I could read on the subjects of spirituality and metaphysics.

And,

You know,

Then it's a matter of taking that and taking what you get with the bliss and that and feeling of falling in love and then putting it to work in your life,

You know.

But it seems like in the beginning stages,

There's a lot of people,

Including me,

That want to just get higher,

Want to get more into that bliss,

That want to feel better.

And it can be intoxicating,

There's no doubt about it.

But what happens is you learn the most important thing is the way you put what you get to work in your life.

And it's an interesting process.

It's a very interesting process that this enticement you feel with the spiritual energy you get.

And then when you learn that it's not just about feeling high or feeling wonderful or feeling that love that you feel when you're turned on to the spiritual field.

But it's a matter of the long run of how you can actually help others improve your life and become a better person because of what you get.

And that's a stage where a lot of people kind of can slip away once they get past that initial love stage and that feeling high and wonderful,

You know,

This and this and that,

And it's all great.

And,

You know,

Everything you can do that's rather fascinating,

Mystical,

And spiritual,

It is so wonderful,

You know,

Which is a great stage.

But then you have to see how you can really use it in your life to make your life better and other people's lives better.

Now,

If you've been doing this a while,

You probably have understood this and gone through some of those stages.

And it's an interesting journey because I see in different fields of spirituality,

There's a lot done to try to always keep you feeling some processing.

And people I know that do a spiritual field in the chanting,

Always do the chanting and almost get high and always do that part of it,

You know,

And it is a wonderful feeling.

But I think that there and in any part of what you're doing in your spiritual field,

It's not about feeling high.

It's not about that.

It's about how you can use that and put it to work in your life.

And I think this might resonate with people that have been in the spiritual field for a while.

And this is where the wisdom comes in.

This is where the inspiration goes into training.

This is how you can live your everyday life in a way that is better and more helpful and more in service.

It's the long run,

You know,

It's how can you keep it going for the long run.

I think,

Is it the Eagles that wrote the song in it for the long run?

And it is the truth.

It's the long run that matters in the spiritual field as far as I'm concerned.

And of course,

That's because it's my perspective and I've been doing it for such a long,

Long time.

And it still comes back to the basics.

It still comes back to meditating every day.

It still comes back to getting to that place inside yourself and having that intention.

Because intention is a very important part of how you live your life.

And it's so good every day to go back to that intention to serve,

That intention to help,

That intention to be a good person.

The intention is so important.

Now,

You're going to get tested.

You're going to get tested in the spiritual field.

That's part of the growing.

Because just like a test in school,

Unless you get tested,

Sometimes you don't know what you've learned and what you don't,

Haven't learned.

And it's like that movie Groundhog Day.

You know,

You have to do it over and you have to do it over and you have to do it over until you kind of get down the way you can do it better.

And it takes time and it's not always easy.

But you still go back to your meditation.

You still go back to understanding.

You still go back to why you're doing what you're doing and recommitting yourself to the spiritual path for a very valid reason.

You know,

For understanding your soul's purpose and your reason for being where you are.

You know,

In the trying times,

And we have been going through trying times,

You will find that you are going to get tested.

And it's so important to stay true to what you've got inside that you believe in and to be able to stick with that and use it and put it to work in your life.

You know,

This is a long,

Long journey.

It's a very long,

Long path that we're on.

And that learning process is so important.

It's so important to find out what is working,

What needs some work,

More work,

You know,

What needs to be strengthened.

And this is the time that you call upon that inner self and your soul.

And you call upon that love and that help from within,

The help of the deepest part of yourself that is connected to spirit.

Now,

At the core of all that,

Of course,

Is every day to remember to meditate and go to that place inside where you can reconnect with spirit and yourself and your soul.

So let's just take a few moments and do that.

Let's take a few moments and reconnect with that deepest part of yourself.

And it's always good to,

Yes,

Breathe.

Breathe in deeply and breathe out.

Breathe in deeply.

And just release any stress or any tension,

Anything that's built up in you.

And just allow yourself to be centered in the light,

In the light of life.

And just breathe that light in.

Let it fill your mind and your body and your energy field and feel it resonate,

That light of your soul merging with that one light of all.

And breathe that in and just be in light.

And allow yourself to expand in that light,

Expand further and further so you completely are surrounded in light inside and out.

And just allow yourself to be light and to be enlightened,

Enlightened,

Going deeply within,

Connecting with that deep,

Deep space within.

And just be here now.

Allow yourself to feel that energy.

And allow yourself to breathe and to be centered.

Nothing to do but to be.

And just expand your beingness.

And feel at one moment,

In one with the environment,

Energy,

With your breath.

And just being here now.

Just a little smile on your face,

And an open heart,

And an open mind.

Feeling good.

You're in the center of the heart of love and light.

How do you feel?

Deeply breathing and slowly coming back into your energy field of your body.

Being aware of anything that may have crossed your mind.

Being aware of your soul and your soul's presence with you right here now.

And just relax into now.

Being here now in your body,

With your mind in its consciousness coming to full reality right here and now.

And being at peace with this reality as you awaken from that deepest state of yourself and your soul.

And being grateful for this ability to connect with your soul and yourself.

And telling yourself,

Thank you.

Thank you for being here now.

And I thank you so much for taking the time to just being present in your true self.
