Tools To Use To Stay Positive

Aloha,

I'm Reverend Cindy Palus,

And we've been seeing times at this point where people are getting very tired of COVID-19.

It's been on for a while,

And I'm seeing so many posts saying how tired people are and how awful 2020 has been and basically how upset people are,

And it seems to be getting more so.

And it's,

In a way,

It seems like it's been,

This year's been the dark night of the soul.

Now the dark night of the soul is a term that's often used on the spiritual path when we kind of slip into darkness and we forget about the light and the good things and the bigger picture.

And it's on the path for a very,

Very important reason.

It's the testing time.

Now I believe we've all come to this time and space in our life for a reason,

That we knew before we came into this planet,

We had a glimpse of why we were coming.

And I think it's all part of a group consciousness and part of the karma of the planet.

And it seemed like such a surprise in spite of all that.

We've all been blessed to have a lot of spiritual background and training to get us to this point.

But for everyone I know,

It's still been a testing time.

And there's a few things I just want to go over is how do we deal with this testing time?

Now for me,

The times that are hard,

I go more to my creative side that bring me up.

I turn more to that spirit that brings and lifts me,

Which for me is the creative side.

I've done three CDs.

I'm finishing up the last part of an audio book.

I got a peace award from UNESCO and I'm starting a thing called the Peace Project.

And that doesn't mean I'm immune.

It just means in fact that I need to do this other creative stuff to keep my mind on the positive side,

To say yes to the universe.

And I would rather do that than completely be stressed out.

And yet at the same time,

I certainly see times where when I get upset and stressed,

I eat and I certainly have been seeing times where I'm stress eating,

You know,

That happens still.

What do we do?

We go back to our basics.

We breathe,

We meditate,

We go to the things that we know lift us up.

We know that certain things do work.

We know breathing works.

For me when I wake up in the morning and during stressful times,

We all have more intense dreams.

I go out and I meditate usually about four o'clock.

I don't set an alarm.

I just wake up at that time.

So I go out in the morning before I even meditate and I just look up at the stars.

I raise my hands up.

I raise my hands up high and I call upon that light of the stars and I try for a few moments just to make a connection with the brilliant stars that are out.

Sometimes I actually feel like I am connecting with those stars and I see flickers and energy and I try to communicate with the stars.

I wonder if they know what's going on here on Earth.

I wonder if they're going through things.

If the other planets are also part of going through a cycle that is a trying,

Testing time for them as well.

But it connects me to the objective observer which we have in our soul.

When I'm having these times that are testing times in meditation,

I go back to my soul and I try to have a bigger picture about what's going on.

I will sometimes ask questions.

A couple of CDs I did really were all about this year and COVID-19 and about humanity and what we have to do.

One song I had done was about people passing on.

One song I had a friend of mine sing was calling all angels because we needed to call upon our angels.

That is something we can do.

In the morning you can call upon your angels.

You can put a protective light around yourself.

You can call upon your guides and your masters for extra help.

You can pray for guidance.

You're not alone.

The whole world is going through these issues.

When we take our mind off our individual situation,

Sometimes it's easier to see the whole.

Then we can see all the things that we have to be grateful for.

Indeed,

That's another amazing tool to use is to have gratitude for what you've got.

No matter how sorry you feel for yourself,

No matter how hard the times have been,

You still have blessings.

You still have it better than so many other people that are out there.

That gratitude brings you to a place of recognizing how lucky and blessed you are.

When you realize how blessed you are,

It's a lot easier to see the light and to see the love and to change that image of what you have about what's bad and see more good.

Let's do a meditation based on just a few of these principles I've talked about.

First get comfortable and make sure you're sitting erect so you can allow your spine to have the light flowing through it easily and your organs can breathe.

Let's just start with some gratitude breaths,

Some breaths of gratitude,

Breathing in thankfulness.

As we breathe deeply,

Breathe deeply in,

Hold your breath for a few seconds.

See that light and let that light pour down in and around and through you and through all of your mind and your body and your emotions.

Breathing in,

Holding your breath and breathing out gratitude for the blessings you have.

Let's continue to breathe in.

Let the breath sweep your mind,

Clear any of the darkness away and allow space for light to come in.

See the light pouring up from the highest place in the heavens streaming down into you right now,

Filling your entire body with light and love.

Breathing gratitude in for that light and that love and start to feel the things that you feel blessed for.

Take a moment to go into that place inside your soul and think of a few,

Let's think of five things,

Five things you're grateful for right now.

Usually there's one or two go to that come up whenever you ask yourself what are you grateful for.

For me,

I'm grateful for being here on Maui and this beautiful,

Beautiful place I live on.

I'm grateful for my health.

I'm grateful for those that are listening that support me.

I'm grateful for my friends and my family.

I'm grateful for my work.

Now what are things you're grateful for?

Let's just be in that presence of gratitude and see how much we can and should be grateful for.

Every breath is a miracle.

Every moment of this precious life is so valuable,

Is such a blessing.

Let's just be grateful for all the blessings we have right now and let that gratitude fill your entire being and change the lights that are there inside.

If there's any darkness,

Let that darkness be turned to light.

Now let's go into that place where we can understand the power of the love of those around us.

Part of the way to do that is to give love to those that we care about.

Let's take a moment and send love to someone we know that we're very grateful for in our lives and send that love out to them and see it encircling them,

Send it to their soul and just let them be aware of that presence of light and as you are aware,

You're sending that light.

Send that light with love.

And now let's send light and love to someone who's having a hard time,

Maybe a health challenge.

Let's just send that person our light and love and turn it over to God and let God send that energy that's needed for healing.

And now let's send the world our light and love.

Let's see the world surrounded by light,

Any of the dark places in the world,

Any of the places that need extra light and love.

Let's let the entire world be surrounded with a healing light and love.

See it all being lit up with this amazing light of love,

The entire planet being given this gift of light and unconditional love and see it circle the entire planet right now.

Send that light and love out to everyone and allow that light and love to come back to you 100 fold.

Send yourself that light and love and gratitude for being here,

For making it through,

For sharing your energy with those in need.

Breathe it in,

Be it and allow it to completely energize you with the highest light from the source of all unconditional love.

And now let's be grateful for all the lessons that we've learned this year.

There's been so many lessons to learn.

Know that you're here to learn lessons in your life and you are given an abundance of lessons to learn this year.

And let's just be grateful.

Maybe take a moment and go back to that objective observer,

Your highest spot inside and think of the lessons you've learned.

Think of all the lessons you've learned this year.

And maybe just make a mental note of all these important lessons that you have learned.

You know,

It's human nature not to do the extra work and not to pray as much if we don't think that there's a need to pray.

This year there's been a need to pray and meditate and share light and love more than ever.

And so I thank you for I know that you're here for a reason listening.

Now let's just take a few more breaths and absorb the energy of yes,

The energy of saying yes to the cosmos,

Saying yes to God,

Saying yes to your soul,

Saying yes to your life.

Being grateful that you're here right now in this precious moment.

Breathe it in and absorb it,

Become it,

Be it and allow it to just completely be in your consciousness and now slowly come out of the meditation.

Slowly allow yourself to come back and be aware of any shifts,

Any changes in your energy field.

Amama,

The prayer is freed.

I thank you for being here and being open to the yes of the universe,

Being open to the positive things that are happening and to the lessons you learn and for being grateful for all the good things that have happened and all the blessings that do still abound in the world.
