Aloha.
I'm Reverend Cindy Paulus and I want to talk about finding the beauty in nature.
I have always been inspired by nature.
I love taking walks out in the forest and listening to the birds sing and to the sound of life,
The sound of possibly a stream going nearby,
The sound of the wind going through the trees.
There's so many blessings in the sounds of nature and the beauty,
The amazing beauty of the flowers,
The beauty of these gorgeous trees.
I live in Hawaii and Maui and I'm very blessed in the winter to still have wonderful trees blossoming and beautiful,
Beautiful,
Kind of tropical,
Amazing things growing that are just inspiring.
Nature is always full of light and energy and if you look at a beautiful flower you find that energy that is so full of positive vibrations that can lift you up.
It can inspire you and so whenever I take a walk and I try to every day,
I take some time.
I don't do power walking.
I don't try to walk as quickly as I can.
I walk slowly and I just appreciate the energy that these trees give forth.
I appreciate the beauty of the flowers blossoming.
I appreciate the light coming down from the sky,
The light going through trees every now and then it might be a rainbow,
The blessed rainbow that shines over your head.
There's just this magic and this energy that is so positive and so alive in nature and it can inspire you on many,
Many levels.
For me,
It's a clearing.
If there's anything that's been on my mind or I've been worrying or dealing with a lot of stuff in life,
If I go for a walk in nature,
I always feel better.
I always feel inspired.
I always feel very blessed and nature has this gift.
Nature has this amazing offering to give to you for free,
For absolutely free.
You can take a walk and enjoy that gift of nature and let it inspire you and the more you look for that beauty,
The more you are aware of it and it takes the intention.
It takes that knowledge that when you're taking the walk,
The intention of seeing and appreciating nature and its beauty and to let it be a healing force.
Now,
Sometimes it helps to even do a slow walk like they do Kenyan walking in the Buddhist tradition,
Zen tradition,
Where you do a very,
Very slow walk and that slows down your mind.
I mean,
You're consciously slowing your walk down,
Really slowing down,
That you only can concentrate on that walk and if you do it in nature and you're concentrating on a slow walk,
You will still find that there is this energy field beyond your mind thinking about walking slowly,
That there's an energy field that is alive in nature.
In Hawaii where I live,
It's called prana.
It's a powerful force,
That prana,
That energy and that prana is just so alive,
You know,
And especially in Hawaii,
I do find it very,
Very alive.
You see this and if you stand by the ocean,
The power of the waves will be hypnotizing and the prana and the energy of them approaching sometimes some areas,
2,
500 miles on these ocean waves have crossed to reach here.
It's quite amazing when you think of the journey that they've made.
So,
I want to encourage you,
I want to encourage you to allow yourself to go outside every day.
I go out in the morning and I do yoga under the sky and I don't do it in a hurry.
I do it slowly and I look at the sky and I look at the trees and I look at the sun rising and I let that mana,
That energy enter me and when I do a walk and I walk every day out in nature,
I let that energy really be appreciated and embodied and it's like you're digesting it.
You're actually feeding your whole field of being with this energy of nature.
It's an amazing gift,
Absolutely amazing gift and it doesn't take a lot to do that.
So,
You know,
It's a simple thing but take the time to enjoy this gift that comes for free,
The gift of nature,
The gift of the beauty of life,
The magnificence of this creation and this creative field we live in and bow to it,
Give gratitude,
Give that recognition for that awareness that nature is indeed a healer because nature is a healer.
So,
Allow it to come to you,
To heal you and to inspire you.
Thank you so much for listening.
Aloha.
