I find that walking in nature is a wonderful way to be inspired and renewed. I talk about the value of being able to just being silent and appreciative of the beauty surrounding you when yo are out in nature.

A very big Aloha.

My name is Reverend Cindy Paulus and I wanted to talk about the way we perceive life to be and the reality of the way life is and how we perceive and how we decide which is real and which is really the way we're perceiving it.

We are kind of built with these judgments that come in and that created over a long period of time.

It can be quite a big thing.

We think things should be a certain way and I just have this feeling that things have really changed.

That things are not as they used to be and that we're seeing an evolution of quite a bit of stuff going on right now.

So it's really great to be able to get past what our judgment of the way we think things are going to be or should be versus the reality of the way things are.

Once we can free ourselves from our judgments and our perceptions to be able to accept the reality of the moment from the highest point of view,

It can really change our whole way of being.

It can change it a lot.

I mean it's pretty amazing actually.

I was talking with someone who said they went through this thing and they always really thought things should be a certain way and then they found out that if they just let go of the way they thought that things should be in their mind,

Their preconception,

And if they just experienced it for what the way it was in the moment,

How differently they could view their life.

I think it's very true.

I've been pondering this quite a bit.

I've been debating this.

I've been looking at it myself.

It's quite a beautiful thing to be able to accept the way things are in the moment and then in that perception see the highest good in that moment that you can see.

I think one of the ways we can experience this is really by being out in the beauty of nature and seeing the beauty of what is around you in nature is such a wonderful gift.

I like taking a walk every day in nature and just experiencing that magic and the beauty of nature is so,

So valuable.

It really is quite an amazing thing and so once we get to that point where we can say,

Oh I'm in this moment and in this moment all is well.

In fact you can even create a walking meditation with words that you want to choose that help you to remember that as I'm walking I see the beauty of nature.

As I'm walking I am completely inspired that all is well.

As I'm walking I'm feeling the love that is present in every single moment.

You can create the ones that work for you but it sometimes as just like it happens in life your mind can get distracted and go off and if you're walking with a few of the positive phrases you can always come back to those wonderful phrases and do it as a walking meditation.

Now I'm seeing more and more people using walking as a social time which is I understand that but that's very very different than walking as a walking meditation.

It's extremely different and as you start to realize the difference and appreciate the fact of of just being in nature and being appreciative in nature and using it as a meditation instead of a social time it is a very different attitude that can really inspire you.

I think it's a wonderful thing to be able to be present in the beauty of nature in the moment and there's always something amazing and magical that I see as I'm walking even around the block.

I really am always amazed at how oh there's this there's that and life and the beauty of nature and the sky and all of it is never the same.

It's always an amazing piece of artwork that we can appreciate.

So I just wanted to encourage you to be able to do that beautiful time out in nature as a special time where you can recharge your batteries and appreciate the magic of being in nature and allow yourself to be in awe of how wonderful life is.

As we get more and more tied to social media,

As we get more and more tied to the internet,

As we get more and more tied to what's going on in the world and sometimes the very bad news that's happening,

We need more and more to be able to tie to the beautiful,

Be tied to the positive stuff that is there in nature and the world and it can really restore you and recharge you and really re-inspire you in a fantastic way if you allow it to.

It's a great gift and that was just what I wanted to do is to encourage you to walk in nature and if you need a walking meditation make up some wonderful phrases that help you to come back to feeling the positive mantra of the lovely time that you have connecting in nature to your highest self.
