Dealing With Life's Challenges
I share how to face the challenges life presents. There are many tools we've learned that we can put into practice. However sometimes in the midst of overwhelm, we can forget the best way to deal with them. I include a talk and meditation, and a song I put on one of my albums.

Aloha friends,
I'm Cindy Pallas and I thought I'd talk about how we face life challenges.
I guess because I've been going through some life challenges and it's been an interesting experience.
We have all the tools.
I mean,
I know the tools.
I've been doing this most all my life,
Right?
And of course there are some beautiful tools to use.
Meditation being number one.
Breathing.
Looking at things objectively.
Learning how to really understand what's going on.
Praying and all of that.
And the thing is when you get to that point you start to realize how you learn from life's challenges.
How you learn the lessons that you really are supposed to be learning.
Now it's really,
Really wonderful when we just feel good when you meditate and everything's all great.
We get that buzz.
We get that connection going and all is really positive and it's great.
But there are times it's like,
Well,
Okay,
If it's really great,
How about this?
I had that happen.
I had like a triple whammy hit me where I had to find out that I was going to have to have surgery and I found out I had a 10-year tax audit I had to do and that I had to move.
And all in the course of about a week or two.
And so it was like,
Okay,
How do you do this?
Now we've all gone through situations where there's challenges,
Right?
But when you get a group of them it's kind of like,
Okay,
Okay,
Something's going on.
It's like,
What's this about?
And that's what I went through.
I realized a few things I thought I'd share with you in case you've ever encountered,
As we all do,
Some of life's challenges.
Number one,
I realized you can't try to do all things at once.
You can do one thing at a time.
A way to get Shirley frustrated and upset is trying to do too many things at once.
So what I did is,
Okay,
I take this first thing and I'll deal with that.
And I'll take the second thing and I'll deal with that.
And then I'll take the third thing and I'll deal with that.
Usually you can juggle that.
Not always.
I mean,
Some say,
I can't wait.
But if you do it that way,
Okay,
It's not so overwhelming.
You can take one thing at a time.
And then I think it's really helpful to go within and say,
Okay,
What's going on here?
What's the lesson?
You know,
I believe life is a great learning field.
I really do.
I believe we're here to learn and to grow and to experience these things so we can understand how we can evolve.
So then I think it's really good to go within and say,
What's going on?
Now,
We all know if you sit in meditation long enough that there's stuff that comes up.
We all have things that will emerge eventually.
And as you shine more light,
And as you allow more light in,
You might start to see some of the things that were hidden in the darkness that's in your life around you and also inside of you.
And I do believe astrologically we've been seeing this in the world where more people have been seeing things they thought were hidden,
But then they get exposed.
So it's a very interesting experience when you start to go within and you go,
Okay,
What is the lesson here?
And then you go with like acceptance,
Right?
Accepting,
Okay,
This is a situation.
This is what I'm supposed to learn.
And how do I deal with it?
Now that might involve quite a few things.
That might involve help.
And it might involve you just learning to accept and love what's going on,
Even if you don't necessarily like it.
Have you ever been in that situation where you're just going,
I don't really like this.
It's like,
This isn't fun.
But hey,
I can learn that this is all part of what I came here for.
I can learn this is what I'm going through.
I can learn,
Gosh,
So much from how you learn to love yourself and love what you're going through and understand,
Have compassion for yourself.
It's so important.
I thought I'd do a little meditation on this so we can experience that feeling together.
And of course we know breath sweeps mind.
And it's always good when you're going through challenges,
Of course,
To do body scans.
See if some of the stress that you've gone through is being held somewhere in your mind,
In your head,
In your neck,
In your shoulders,
Maybe down there in your heart.
Maybe you're a little angry.
Maybe there's stuff there.
And that when you might have to spend some time on going deep,
Deep,
Deep,
You know,
To that inner child,
To that part of you that is crying out to be recognized and to be held and to be told it's okay.
It's going to be all right.
There's a love that kind of heals this and helps,
You know.
And to go deep,
Deep,
Deep,
Deep,
Deep.
Let's go deep into our heart now without fear.
Just let's get past anything there,
Any kind of blockages you might have had along the way.
Just go deep and shine a light that shines all that stuff you need to face in your heart.
Just shine a bright light of unconditional love into your heart.
Let's just be there with that love.
And let's travel into that heart of heart that deep in your heart you have is that energy that is your deepest love that's alive there still.
Let it blossom with that light that you're sending,
That's coming from the highest source.
Send it love.
Send it love.
Send it caring.
Send it hugs.
Embrace your inner self and your heart right now.
Just allow yourself to tell yourself that love is there.
That love is always there to call upon.
Now allow that love to go on down with its light into the rest of your body and be aware of how you might feel in your organs,
Your stomach,
Your liver,
Your kidney.
Maybe you've been overeating or stressing.
Send that some love.
And see the blessings there and send it blessings and shed that beautiful beautiful golden light there and call in that light and move on down to your second chakra where your feelings are.
Maybe you've been feeling upset or angry and just send some peach love light there.
Just spend some time with that love light,
The emotions you might have been hiding that you might have to feel.
Ah,
Just allow yourself to know that there's love and you're okay.
And go on down to the base of your spine and send some loving energy there.
And now you see yourself completely surrounded by a wonderful white protective light all around your body going way way way way up and through and down your spine and down your legs and your feet and into the ground.
Now at that point just say,
I'm okay.
I'm okay.
I feel good.
I feel the blessings of being loved.
I love myself.
I love other people.
I love my life.
I love who I am.
And I am that I am.
My friend,
You have the power and the strength and the energy to get through all of this.
And I'm sending you my deepest love and my blessings.
And I'm reminding you always that you have the tools to get through this life and to love yourself and to love your life always.
I thought I'd,
I thought I'd play a song that I had included,
Sung by Martha Rae Graydon.
She didn't write it.
I didn't,
But it's a wonderful song that I included in my album,
All in this together.
And it's called Calling All Angels.
Then it's one foot then the other.
Step out on the road,
Step out on the road.
How much weight,
How much weight.
Then it's how long and how far and how many times.
Oh,
Before it's too late.
Calling all angels.
Calling all angels.
Walk me through this one.
Don't leave me alone.
Calling all angels.
Calling all angels.
We're trying.
We're hoping.
But we're not sure how.
Every day you gaze upon the sunset with such love and intensity.
Only crack the code you finally understand what this all means.
But if you could,
Do you think you would trade it all,
All the pain and the suffering?
Ah,
But then you would have missed the beauty of the light upon this earth and the sweetness of leaving.
Calling all angels.
Calling all angels.
Walk me through this one.
Don't leave me alone.
Calling all angels.
Calling all angels.
We're trying.
We're hoping.
But we're not sure how.
Calling all angels.
Calling all angels.
Walk me through this one.
Don't leave me alone.
Calling all angels.
Calling all angels.
We're trying.
We're hoping.
We're hurting.
We're loving.
We're crying.
We're calling.
Because we're not sure how this goes.
