This is a talk and practice on communicating with loved ones who have passed on. There are many who are now losing loved ones to COVID-19 and some are not able to say goodbye to their loved ones. I talk about how you can go into meditation and send your messages to the spirit of your loved ones and see if there are any messages you might receive.

Aloha,

I'm Reverend Cindy Palos and I'm going to talk about a subject that is very touchy to some people.

It's about communicating with the dead.

Of course,

I do not believe that there is such a thing as death.

In fact,

I wrote a few poems about that.

There's only energy that's changing forms and this can be taken very personally by someone who has lost a loved one.

There's been such a huge wave of people who have lost loved ones.

There's never been a time of so much transition,

At least in the last 50 years.

And it's so sad when I see people saying that the hardest thing was that I was not there to say goodbye to them,

That I couldn't be there and there was no sense of closure,

No completion because I couldn't be there with my loved one to say goodbye.

And I really felt I had to talk about this,

That it's very,

Very important for those who have found that they have lost a loved one,

That they still can communicate with them.

Those who have passed on have just dropped their body,

But they haven't left their souls behind.

And in spirit,

They can very much and often do become aware of the ones that they love.

And they are there.

They are there watching over them,

Guarding them like guardian angels.

And if someone were to try to just be still and give them a message or say goodbye in a clear state,

A state ideally after meditation or feeling the love they have for that person who's moved on,

That energy is communicated to the loved one.

So it is so important that people realize you can say goodbye.

And you can also know that you will see your loved one again.

And the unfortunate thing is when you're so full of sorrow and suffering,

It's very hard to be clear enough to communicate.

So I think that's why it's so important that meditation and trying to be in a peaceful state comes in where you can communicate more directly.

I have had so,

So many communications with those who've passed on.

I wrote a book called Angel Blessings,

Messages from Heaven.

I share over a hundred,

Maybe it's about two or three hundred messages I've gotten from those who I love and those who have passed on.

And I also have some quotes in there from some great people who I really appreciate and love about their experiences with this.

This one's very interesting.

It's from Jack Kerouac.

He says,

Everything is ecstasy inside.

We just don't know it because of our thinking minds.

But in our true,

Blissful essence of mind is known that everything is all right forever and forever and forever.

Close your eyes,

Let your hands and nerve endings drop.

Stop breathing for three seconds.

Listen to the silence inside the illusion of the world and you will remember the lesson you forgot,

Which was taught in immense Milky Way soft clouds,

Innumerable worlds long ago and not even at all.

It is all one vast,

Awakened thing.

I call it in the golden eternity.

And it is perfect.

We were never really born.

We will never really die.

That's from Jack Kerouac.

Did you know that?

So many have of course had to face suffering and death and the Buddha was asked this question.

Someone came to him and was so deep in suffering from the loss of a loved one and wanted the Buddha to help.

And the Buddha's words were,

Go into the village,

Talk to all the village people there.

And if you find one who has not lost a loved one,

Come back and I will be glad to talk to you.

And of course he went to the village and found that everyone indeed had lost a loved one and that this suffering indeed was part of living and it was part of the practice that Buddha taught is to understand how to let go of that suffering.

So this is an important thing to meditate on,

To really think about.

There are signs that make it easier,

You know,

And I have experienced these signs.

When you've lost a loved one,

Possibly you see a feather.

Oh,

I see white feathers drop sometimes.

And possibly you might just see a beautiful sunrise or sunset that's so magical.

I've had that happen with loved ones who have left.

They leave this beautiful sunrise or sunset.

You might just feel a stirring or a breeze.

I found items that the loved one has given me that I thought was lost and all of a sudden they'll show up and I know it's the loved one who's reaching out.

I wrote this for a friend who was a Tai Chi teacher and a good friend.

And I know it came from him.

It came to me like this.

Do not declare me dead for I am living in the light of the universe.

Do not grieve for me for I am in the radiance of the love that was given and continues to grow in the realms that we know is heaven.

Far greater the existence of the soul than we know.

Far greater the seeds that we sow.

If you think of me,

My friend,

Think of a light that burns so bright with no end.

Somewhere,

Somehow we meet again.

Somewhere,

Somehow we played roles so different.

Somewhere thoughts bring a smile and reach me in a distant place.

And though you can't see me,

Remember me fondly and forgive the pain and let the good that was given remain.

There is a dance of the steps of the dragon and the force of the yin and yang swirling in a timeless circle with no beginning and end.

And in the circle of life we turn,

The blessings,

The pleasure and the pain,

The feeling of the body and sensations on earth here and then gone again.

So I returned to spirit from where I came.

A breeze,

A breath of spirit.

The turning of the eternal wheel.

The yin and the yang,

The dark and the light.

What's here and then the spark of the dawn.

I thank you from the teacher that's gone.

We have a lovely ceremony that happens in Hawaii on Memorial Day and this year they will not be able to be holding that ceremony unfortunately.

But they put the lanterns out into the ocean's water and there are thousands and thousands of people who come and they have a little lantern like a boat with some parchment written on the box inside carrying a boat and people can write messages.

And it's so beautiful to watch these beautiful candles inside that box light up as they kind of go out to the ocean into the sun that's setting and sail off.

And I wrote this,

Candles of prayers are set to see,

Lighting the water with blessings we see.

All joined in thoughts and prayers lit with love as they sail out to meet the ones now above.

The fire of their stories and the memories they've saved somehow all meeting here in time and space.

There is a feeling that is perceived,

A sense of peace that is received from sending our love to the other side.

We share a faith that we cannot hide.

Prayers lit with just a few words of love.

Light up the ocean as God watches above.

Such a mystical beauty from spirit released set to sail out to what we cannot see.

We know our loved ones somehow can feel how much we really care and our hearts are open in this moment to believe that they will reach heaven's doors.

Prayers lit with candles are set out to see.

They sail in their glory of the setting sun to their freedom in heaven's distant shores.

Now what can we do about this if we have indeed lost a loved one and so many have?

You go through a suffering and you can't block that.

You can experience that and you can go into meditation and accept that.

Don't close yourself off from feeling what you're feeling.

But do try to go into a place of quiet inside.

Let's do a meditation,

Breathing in deeply.

And as Jack Kerouac said,

Let's hold for a few seconds,

Three seconds our breath.

And let's breathe out.

Breathing in peace,

Holding our breath and breathing out love.

Going deeper and deeper and deeper inside into our heart's sacred place.

Go to that heart of hearts within.

Breathe in the love there and be with that love there.

Don't be afraid to feel that love right there in the depth of your heart.

Breathing that love in,

Holding it for three seconds and breathing out,

Allowing yourself to feel that love and send that love out to your loved one.

Breathing in love,

Holding your breath and breathing out love to your loved one.

Breathing in,

Holding your breath and breathing out love to your loved one.

Breathing in again and going deeper and deeper into your soul.

And from your soul,

Connect now with the soul of your loved one.

Feel that energy that was the whole essence of the being of the person you loved.

Sense that light and that energy.

Sense that beautiful presence.

And in your soul,

Now send that same energy of light out to your soul's deepest connection of the loved one.

And know that that energy from your soul has no limitations of space and time.

That energy of energies within your soul can be sent out and cross all boundaries of space and time.

Go to that inner place in the soul where there's only love and there's only light.

And see the connecting of your energy connecting with your loved one.

And now in this sacred moment of connecting,

Tell your loved one that has passed on how you feel about them.

Give them the message that you would have given them if you were right there,

Present when they made that journey onward.

And allow yourself to sit with that energy and be with that energy and to feel that energy.

And now I want you to be still enough to receive back any energy or messages that they may be wanting to give you.

Breathe in that energy that they are and allow yourself to be clear and receive any messages you need to receive to aid in your understanding and your healing.

Allow yourself to receive this energy going deeper and deeper into that connection that you have that will always be there.

Knowing that your loved one is there for you,

That is always there in spirit,

That is watching over you and loving you and sending you guidance and love and healing.

Be with that energy and be still in that energy.

Hold that energy and feel that great connection that you have and will always have forever and ever and ever.

And now slowly come back and come back from your meditation and this connection and as you do breathe it in,

Anything that you may need to remember that you might want to write down.

When you come out of meditation,

Breathing deeply in and as you breathe out,

Hold that thought and that connection and write down what has come to you.

You may only remember a feeling or one word,

But you also might find that as you start writing,

More words might come,

More messages might come than you may have even realized.

And allow that energy and connection to always be present for you whenever you need to connect again.

And you might try this practice before you go to sleep at night because when you're at sleep,

You're able to more freely connect with the souls of loved ones.

And I'm praying for all of those and sending love to all of those who may be in this suffering,

In this situation.

And I pray that that love and light from your loved ones is felt and connected and you feel healing and you feel that sense of peace that comes when you make that inner connection.

And breathe that energy in and allow yourself now to be at peace.

Breathe in and thank you Spirit,

Thank you loved ones,

Thank you God for this wonderful time of healing.

And so it is.

Blessings to you always.

I just lost my father yesterday after a long battle with Huntington’s Disease. He also was a Vietnam Veteran with 2 Purple Hearts and was a true warrior. This meditation just reassures and reminds me that you are right about how they are always with us and when we meditate we can communicate with them. Thank you for your wisdom and for all you share with the world. You are a great comfort at this time! 🙏❤️🙏

Absolutely beautiful. I wanted to connect with my mother. I went inwards deeply and even though I didn’t quite get a msg, I saw beautiful shades of mostly green and some deep blue. I could see shapes and pics trying to form but didn’t quite happen. I will do this often and maybe I will see and hear more. Thank you 🙏❤️💜

Thank you Cindy, that was beautiful ♥️♥️♥️ it’s Mother’s Day today and I wanted to connect with my mom who passed on 12 years ago. I really felt her presence so strongly it brought tears to my eyes. ✨💖 Right in the middle my young son interrupted...”how do you spell carrot?? Mom, how do you spell carrot??”🤣🤣🤣 I couldn’t be mad though because now I’m so lucky to be a mom too. 🙏🏻
