Aloha,
I'm Reverend Cindy Palus and I've been thinking a lot about peace and I've been doing talks on peace and I realized of course with the need in the world for peace right now that we do know that peace begins within but obviously then once we find that peace within we need to remember how to bring that peace out to the world and put it to work in the world.
Once you do find the tools of peace which can include ways to find a common ground,
Ways to be present,
Ways to live with kindness and goodwill,
Finding the best in other people,
Recognizing that other people are also part of ourselves,
All of those tools that we find within need to go to work for us in our everyday living because if we just have that sanctuary within,
A peaceful sanctuary,
It is such a valuable tool but the most important thing from that sanctuary is to bring that energy from within into the outer world.
That is what is so,
So very key.
So let's imagine now how we do that,
You know,
Imagine the word imagine such a wonderful force,
Such a beautiful idea to be able to imagine how we find inner peace and then we take that inner peace and bring it to a world that is full of conflict,
To a world that's seeing war and killing and strife and how do we maintain that peace in our everyday living when our buttons will get pushed guaranteed,
May not be every day but sooner or later someone's going to come along and push your buttons or if you watch the news you can see all the killing and hardship and suffering going on and you might wonder where is the peace in the world,
How do we ever find peace in this world.
We know this world is a planet where we learn,
We learn every day but there are people on this planet that are not working for the good of all,
That are not evolved enough to see the need for love and light and peace.
They're working for their egos,
They're working for wherever they're at to get what they want.
So for all the ones who are working for the good in the world,
Who are serving the highest purpose they can serve,
It's so important that we as a unified force work with those who are living in the darkness or ego and wishing to do harm to others.
Thank God there are more people doing good than there are people doing harm.
It doesn't take a lot of people who wish to do harm to do harm if they're in a place of power and if their egos in control.
We've been seeing this in the world.
This is what's happening right now,
Right now with all of the light that we have,
With all of the energy that we have for doing good.
We are still seeing some people doing a lot of damage and harm in the world,
Aren't we?
So it takes us realizing,
Realizing that as more light is shown,
We will see more darkness.
The darkness is revealed as we see more light and that is as it should be even though it's painful to realize this.
But we need to,
As light workers and people who know how powerful the light is,
We need to remember that if we don't realize and see what's revealed in the hidden places,
In the darker places of people's egos,
Then we can never let that be healed.
We need to see to heal.
We need to have it be revealed so that it can come out and be dealt with.
And it's coming out in ways that are very difficult right now for so many in the world.
And that's when I always go back to that wonderful quote by Mahatma Gandhi,
When I despair,
I remember that all through history,
The way of truth and love has always won.
There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible,
But in the end,
They always fall.
Think of it,
Always.
Now,
Mahatma Gandhi and Christ and Buddha and Martin Luther King Jr.
And all of those who have worked and strive for peace have seen this issue,
Most of them dying,
Most of them dying and giving their life,
Right,
Christ?
Christ and Gandhi and Martin Luther King and so many others,
Who instead of what they believed,
Were killed for their beliefs in trying to do more good,
Which is,
If we were to allow it,
Would be discouraging to others.
But instead,
If we look at history,
Look at the differences Mahatma Gandhi brought,
Even though he was killed,
They didn't silence him.
Think of the good that Christ did,
Even though he was killed.
It changed the world.
Look at the good that Buddha did.
Look at the good that Martin Luther King did.
The world needs people who will bring forth that energy and the inspiration of good and peace and goodwill in the world.
And it may take everything you've got,
But it's so important if we're going to make the changes we need in this world for peace and harmony and goodwill,
We have to be willing to get out there and try to share that energy.
It's a beautiful thing.
It's an important thing.
It's a key to actually being able to actually change the world.
And it's not easy to change the world,
But we are evolving.
We are learning as we go.
And I pray that we together realize we can make a difference if we find that powerful inner sanctuary of peace and bring that peace that we find from the highest place within and put it to work in our everyday living,
Put it to work in the world to make a difference.
Because together,
As one force for light and love and peace,
We can change the world.
And all of what we've been seeing out there in the world and the challenges we've had are really part of the pieces of the puzzle that we need to put the greater picture,
The higher picture,
Our greater purpose into play.
I mean,
The time is now.
We came to be here in this time and place as ones that could help change the world.
So don't be dismayed.
Don't be in despair.
Use all the tools that you can find to be one that makes the world a better place,
A place of peace,
A place with more love and understanding,
More kindness and goodwill for all.
I thank you so much for the work you're doing as a peacemaker,
Bringing more peace to the world.
God bless you.
