Be In The Moment

Being in this now moment is one of the most effective ways to overcome stress. When you are here now you can release into the presence of the present. In this eternal moment of now, you are okay. This is a talk and meditation on being here now.

Aloha,

I'm Reverend Cindy Palus.

And I think one of the ultimate tools you can learn that is so very valuable for this is being here now.

Now,

Many people think about Ram Dass,

And he wrote such an amazing book so long ago,

Be Here Now,

Was a bestseller,

A classic,

Changed his life.

It was based on a spiritual truth,

That there is really only this moment.

And since that book was written,

There's been more and more scientific research to really explain that there is just this now.

Einstein started discovering that when he was researching the speed of light and what we are.

And we have since seen some amazing movies actually written about this.

The truth is that the past,

The beginning and the future,

The ending,

Are really just one moment.

And it's just the appearance through time that makes us believe that one dot,

That one moment is really spread out.

And in meditation,

If we are past the illusion and just in the true reality,

Beyond space and time,

No beginning or ending,

Then we are not subject to the stress because we see the truth.

The truth is that the illusion of time exists just to help us in the construction of our life experience,

Which creates a cosmic duality with opposites,

With the drama,

With everything we experience.

But in true beingness,

We are without beginning or ending.

We are in an endless circle without beginning or end,

No starting point,

No ending point,

Just that eternity.

Just this existence,

Just this one eternal moment.

And in that space we can achieve in meditation,

Once we really get it,

We can set our intention to remember that we do not need to worry,

We do not need to stress,

That indeed in time this too will pass because in time it all will pass.

I loved what George Harrison wrote,

All Things Must Pass.

Remember that song?

I was so thrilled when he came out with that song.

It's so true,

All Things Must Pass.

And when we can find that,

We can find some peace of mind.

But then again,

The illusion,

The maya,

The drama is here for us to learn.

It's here for us to live and learn our lessons in life.

But once we realize the truth that it's there,

We can be aware of how we don't have to be subject to the stress,

To the drama,

To the fear.

And that it's our ego,

Our ego,

Our ego letting us go through that dance,

That shadow puppet dance.

I love the shadow puppets.

Have you ever seen in Bali the dance of the shadow puppets?

They perform their drama as puppets with light in front of the puppets so you only see the shadows dancing.

Think about it.

We're living a life of shadows dancing.

But in consciousness,

We can explore the beautiful power of existence and look at it from the from our soul's point of view,

Which is eternal.

And through our soul,

You can actually see lifetimes.

I have experienced lifetimes,

Many lifetimes of existence.

And believe me,

There's been many times of drama.

One life I was there in the Black Plague.

We've had many times of war,

Many times of disease,

Many times that we've gone through good and bad.

But Mahatma Gandhi reminded us beautifully,

No matter what we think and how bad we think it's getting,

That always good wins out,

That good always prevails.

And that is a very powerful thing to remember,

Too,

When we're looking at news that makes it seem like everything is just overwhelming.

There's always something good going on in life.

There's always,

At any given moment,

A miracle happening.

We don't hear about all the miracles happening every day.

But we don't have to buy in to believing that life is bad,

That life is terrible,

That things are going all wrong.

Because that's an illusion.

And the more we buy into all of the things that cause stress and,

Well,

States of mind that are pretty much pushing a lot of people's buttons to the point where the seams seem to be splitting apart.

When we start seeing that over and over again,

We start to think,

Well,

What's happening here?

Has the world gone insane?

Has the world gone crazy?

Well,

When you start to think that,

Turn off the news,

Stop reading whatever you're reading that's making you think that,

And take a few breaths and go into meditation.

And just be here now.

It is an amazing tool you can use to be a stress buster,

To be able to get past the illusion.

Now let's do a meditation on just being.

Just being here together right now.

This is a wonderful feeling to be able to share our breath and just being here in our breath.

So right now,

Just breathe.

Just breathe in and just breathe out.

Let all else go.

Just be here now,

Breathing in and enjoying that breath and letting it go and releasing it.

Sitting comfortably,

Sitting up straight.

Enjoy doing a body scan and see what's going on with this physical body.

Let's scan your head area,

Your eyes,

Your ears.

Be aware of what's happening right now here with your mouth,

Your jaw.

Are you storing any tension there?

Breathe in and if you are,

Just let it go.

Let it go.

Release any tension.

Just release it and let it go.

Breathing in deeply,

Let light fill your entire brain area.

Just let it bathe in that wonderful healing light right now.

Breathing that light into your whole mind consciousness,

Being here in that perfect,

I'd say infinite light because it is.

It has infinity present right here in your mind,

The universal light of all right in that mind right here and right now.

And breathing in again,

Feeling your whole neck area scan,

Your neck.

How does it feel?

How does that beautiful throat center feel there?

Is it clear?

Is it open?

Send some light to all of your neck and just release any tension that may be stored there.

Let go.

Let go.

Let go.

Ah,

Just relax.

Being here in the present,

Feel your heart area alive and full and beating.

Hold your hand to your heart.

Just feel the energy in your heart this very moment in this eternal now.

Bathe in the energy of beingness.

Be aware of what you're sensing in your heart.

Feel that energy in your heart merge right now with that beautiful love complete and whole.

100% feeling the love that is there within your heart of hearts.

Feel the peace of this lovely place within.

You are fine.

You are love.

You don't need anything right here and now.

Believe that.

Bathe in the energy of the love that lets you be happy and at peace.

Feel that love expanding throughout your entire body.

Breathe it in and allow yourself to go to your third chakra and allow all of those organs to be bathed in love.

Thank them for the work they are doing at every single perfect moment of now.

Breathe into your liver,

Your kidneys,

Your pancreas.

Just let light be present in that third chakra and allow that energy to go to your whole pelvis area.

Allow this pelvis area to be full of a peach light that is full of a healing love.

If there's any emotions there,

Allow them to be felt,

Recognized and released.

Feel good.

Now allow yourself to go to your root chakra.

All the energy,

The Kundalini,

The sexual energy bathed in a ruby red light.

Thank your beautiful root chakra.

Allow that energy to flow through your legs,

Your calves,

Your knee,

Your ankles,

Your feet.

Now expand that perfect infinite light that is here right now out six feet above you.

Even further and further and further and below you,

Way,

Way,

Way,

Way down and out around you to the side horizontally,

In front and in back.

You are in the center of this amazing being of light,

This presence right here in this perfect protection of light in the here and now.

Now just allow yourself to be.

There's nothing to do.

There's nothing to worry about.

There is only the presence of your energy in spirit,

The presence here with you now.

Feel the energy of your souls present.

Be still.

Be still and know that you are this infinite moment of being here now.

Breathe it in,

Bathe in it,

Allow it to heal you.

Breathe out just sigh.

Just let go of anything that may have been causing stress throughout the last year or two.

Just let it go,

Let it go.

You are here now in this perfect moment with no beginning,

No ending,

The alpha and the omega,

The infinite light of love.

All there is is the infinite light of love present here now.

Feel that.

Believe that.

What a wonderful place to be.

Ah,

We're slowly going to come out of this meditation and I want you to remember this wonderful feeling of being whole,

Of being complete,

Of being at peace and of having everything you need right here and now with no beginning and no end.

Just this moment and in this moment everything is okay.

Embrace it,

Embrace it and you'll find that breath of hope and light,

That presence,

Everything you need is right here in your body,

Mind and soul.

The light of light is shining more than you can ever know.

Just this moment of being here,

Just this wonderful life,

This perfect energy right here and right now where we are oh so grateful to God for everything that we have in this perfect moment of now.

And I bow to you in gratitude and I thank you for sharing this perfect moment of now with me.

You can always come back to this moment and experience it at any time.
