Allowing yourself to come into stillness.
Begin by taking 3 long slow deep breaths through your nostrils.
Relax back into your normal breath without forcing any force.
Notice where you most feel your breath.
This might be in the nostrils or in the chest or perhaps your abdomen.
Just breathe normally without forcing any breath.
Allowing the sounds outside or the sounds in the room to fade away as you move inside in your inner awareness.
Let's begin to soften our face.
Softening the forehead.
The space between the eyebrows.
And imagining a slight smile coming to the eyes.
Allowing the sinuses to rest at the bottom of the smile and your eyes to open and soften.
As you're moving down to your jaw area,
Let your jaw go slack hanging down just slightly.
Take a few breaths here with your tongue in the bottom of your mouth and your mouth slightly opened.
Keep your chin in just slightly to elongate the back of your neck and feel as your shoulders move down and away from your ears.
And we're going to begin a mantra meditation.
A mantra merely means an instrument of the mind.
The words don't have to mean anything.
They just become the focus of your meditation.
You may use any mantra you choose.
An easy one to use is hum on the inhale and sah on the exhale.
And let's begin again,
Breathing at your own pace and saying to yourself,
Hum on the inhale and sah on the exhale.
And let's do this for about one minute.
I'll mind the time.
Hum on the inhale and sah on the exhale.
Hum on the inhale and sah on the exhale.
And releasing the mantra now,
Let's visualize a white mist that comes in through your nose.
And this is a cooling and cleansing mist.
And just allow this mist to travel through your head and neck and body as slowly and effortlessly as it can.
Bringing with it feelings of calm and peace.
And allowing the body to soften wherever the mist touches.
And allowing the mist to dissipate in your mind.
And allowing the mist to dissipate in your mind's eye.
As you begin your day,
Let's take another three long,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
And as you end the third breath,
Bringing your hands to heart center and bowing to the divine light in yourself and others by saying namaste.
And as you begin your day,
Let's take another three long,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
