**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, not agree or disagree, and just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already part of true meditation.

Why are we thinking about ourselves?

Each of us is seeking its own pleasure,

Depending on its own illusions,

Views,

Ideas to maintain this temporary stability.

So the mind is trapped in different distortions,

Different fantasies,

Illusions,

And its division becomes wider and wider.

And this becomes the so-called freedom.

Everyone is free to seek their own pleasure,

But the mind is trapped there,

Trapped in its own unique illusion,

Unique distortion.

And the conversation between two people becomes so dangerous because the mind is trapped in different illusions.

The two minds are violent in different ways,

And this contradiction and conflict is insolvable.

As is happening now in this world,

This utter individualism,

This ugly egoism,

Based on which this meaningless commercialism and consumerism are running around this pleasure-seeking.

So it is a very urgent matter for all of us to think together about this tremendous issue we are all facing.

To think together means that we stop running away,

We all stop to look,

To observe.

We all stop chasing and seeking pleasure so we can really see things as they are.

When we see things as they are,

Each of us see the same thing,

See this fact together,

See clearly this totally immoral and egocentric world.

So to meditate is not to go to some temples or to learn some cunning tricks,

But to really observe together.

Being together is being alone,

Which means that the mind is free of any inferences,

So it is capable of observing without being influenced by anything,

By any authority.

When you are doing that,

Each of us is doing that,

We are together.

The speaker is not telling you a theory,

It is a fact,

But you must come upon it for yourself.

That is,

When we all stop seeking pleasure,

Running away from the issues,

When each of us is observing by standing alone without being influenced,

Without conforming to any authority,

We will end up discovering the same thing.

We all see the issues clearly as they are.

And only then there will be a totally different solution to all the issues.

A solution that is totally beyond egoism,

The self-centered life,

Because it is the self-centered life that brings about all these issues.
