The self is all the images about me.
The name,
The title,
The position,
The money,
The car,
Horse,
Family,
Child,
Whatever.
They are all images.
They are all concepts.
And this brings a sense of me.
When one thinks in that way,
This is my place,
This is my office,
This is my whatever.
That kind of thinking brings about a sense of me.
So the me,
The self,
One's self is the product of thoughts.
It is an illusion.
It has come from the thoughts.
And in reality,
It doesn't exist at all.
So this self-dependence depends on what?
It is an illusion.
When one sees this clearly,
It's purely nonsense.
Self-dependence means that the dependence on illusion.
And this is the content of this civilization.
Everyone is living in such an extremely individual way.
And everyone is trapped in its own illusions.
And hold on to that illusions,
Which is called self-dependence.
So the mind must make efforts to earn,
To prove,
To seek,
To achieve.
All of those are driven by this illusion of me.
When we say,
Okay,
The self is an illusion,
So I won't depend on myself,
I will depend on others.
But what is the entity that depends?
It is still the me,
Isn't it?
The me wants to depend,
To rely on something.
The images about the possessions,
The name of Tawa,
Bring this sense of me.
So the mind relies on this thought to perpetuate the sense of me,
Which is already a form of dependence.
So the me is born out of dependence.
One depends on oneself,
Or one depends on others,
It's a similar thing.
Because that's the pending,
That's dependence mentally.
Common sense clearly in mind-leading.
