**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, not agree or disagree, and just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already part of true meditation.

To study ourselves objectively,

We must study together,

So we can get rid of the oscillation immediately.

Being together means we think together objectively.

When we are all thinking objectively,

We are naturally together.

But look around this world,

Everyone is thinking about something different,

For their own pleasure,

For their own comfort,

Their own self-fulfillment,

Satisfaction.

In thinking about something,

The mind is divided.

You like this,

I prefer that,

Therefore we don't meet,

We are only chasing our own interest,

Preference.

We are all exerting our will,

Because we are all conforming to this civilization,

Me first.

My interest is always over others,

So I need to care about myself first,

And you do the same,

Then we are all divided.

When the mind is merely considering itself,

The mind is creating this oscillation.

The very thinking about oneself already points to this order of the mind.

Thinking about oneself brings about selfishness,

Egoism,

Individualism,

All kinds of social divisions.

It is the thought processes,

And thoughts are running around the center,

Which is me,

Me first.

So this self-centered living is the essence of this Western civilization.

The life is extremely personal,

Petty,

Full of all kinds of emotions,

Influences,

Contradictions,

Frustrations,

Oscillation.

As long as the mind is running towards the center,

The thoughts are running towards the center,

Such a state of mind is never stable.

Just like typhoon,

The strong wind is running towards the center,

It is very unstable,

It is very powerful in a very destructive way.

The same with the mind.

As long as there is a center which is called me,

And the thoughts are running around the center,

The mind is very unstable,

Very violent.

And it is turbulent,

Just like typhoon,

And the mind creates stability.

So you see,

When we are being divided by each other,

We are all turbulent,

We are all violent,

And we are all seeking mental stability in our own way.

And none of us are really observing and solving issues,

We run away from it,

From the issues into the pleasure seeking.

The pleasure can bring about this instant satisfaction,

Fulfillment.

So we indefinitely postpone the issues,

We are accumulating more and more issues at the same time.
