If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, no agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already a meditation practice.

As one friend says,

What do you say when the negative thoughts enter?

So the question of the negative thoughts.

Who label the thoughts as negative?

Isn't it the me,

The self,

That keeps creating all kinds of judgment,

Good,

Bad,

Positive,

Negative?

The me creates all kinds of division,

And the me pursues the positive ones,

And also excludes the negative ones.

Pursues the positive ones means that the me is into the thoughts,

Oh,

These thoughts are very nice,

I want to have more.

The me excludes the negative ones,

Oh,

I don't want these negative thoughts,

Please stay away from me.

But do you see the contradiction here?

On the one hand,

You want to go into the thoughts.

On the other hand,

You want to get rid of the thoughts.

They are all thoughts,

No matter the me labels as good or bad,

Positive or negative,

They are all thoughts.

Do you see this struggling in these thought activities?

Pursuing,

Excluding.

Can I live a life totally putting aside the me?

Can I stop this judging,

Whether it's good or bad?

When the me is really put down,

Those things are no longer relevant.

But if the me sticks with the conclusion,

The judgment,

The me keeps seeking the question,

The issues,

Only creating more challenges,

More disturbance.

Can a mind go deeper to understand the total movement of the me and really end the me?

Else the mind which is trapped by me is always superficial,

Always wanting to deal with the symptoms.

But look around life.

The symptoms of the me is incessant,

It's endless.

Unless one sees this clearly and ends the me,

Life is totally transformed.

All those issues which are endless are no longer relevant because the me is totally absent and the issues are relevant to whom?

Nothing,

Right?

So that's why this journey of meditation is to go beyond the symptoms,

To really see the root and eradicate all the issues from the root.

That's not a theory.

Please do it to really test it and find out how true it is.
