**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. Listening to this talk is meditation. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without being stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, no agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already part of true meditation.

Transcript

To meditate is to see the limitation of thoughts,

See the nature of it,

To see the issues over depending on thoughts.

When the mind sees that thoughts are never reliable,

The mind won't rely on thoughts anymore.

Thoughts have their places,

But psychologically,

Thoughts have no place whatsoever.

When the mind no longer relies on thoughts,

The mind is free of any attachment,

And the mind is free.

This life is free,

Without any burdens.

Thoughts create all kinds of burdens.

So to live life without any attachment requires wanting to go into it,

To see the limitation,

See the changeability,

The instability of thoughts.

And this inquiry,

This deep understanding is the true meditation.

And meditation is never divorced from our daily living.

The life is meditation.

It is life.
