Hello and welcome to this healing session called the power of ritual.

A daily ritual is really any series of actions that you take on a regular basis for any intended purpose.

The underlying fabric of your daily ritual will tend to include several things that you might already be doing,

But possibly in a fragmented way.

So the goal here is to develop a daily ritual that will allow you to find balance and empowerment in reaching a desired goal.

A daily ritual of any kind feeds whatever the ritual is in place to achieve or address.

Maybe you want to stop smoking or heal your physical body,

Become more mindful,

Less judgmental,

Reduce resentment and anger,

Heal a relationship.

As you can see,

It really doesn't matter what your goal is,

But beneath it all there is usually one common goal and that is to have a sense of intention.

Creating intent magnifies any daily ritual and allows for the process of surrender to take place so that you become open to receiving divine support from source and reaching your deepest desires.

A consistent daily ritual,

For example,

To stop smoking or to start a new career,

They're really produced from the same root.

A compounded effect of tiny daily actions working towards the end goal that you've chosen.

And by setting your intention around what you want,

This allows energy to flow through your daily ritual with a sense of purpose.

Let's talk a little bit about some things that may be included in a daily ritual.

First of all,

There are many different types of rituals.

They can range from very simple to very complex and that level or range is really up to you.

When you're starting out,

I always suggest the idea of less is more.

Start where you are,

Use what you have and do what makes you feel comfortable.

Here are a few things that might help you understand what could potentially go into your unique ritual.

Creating a quiet and uninterrupted time and space.

And this doesn't have to be a lavish dedicated room or even corner of a room.

You can use any tools that you have that allow you to feel connected to yourself and to spirit.

And this can by all means become a portable place for you to sit in solitude and for you to enact your daily ritual.

You definitely want to be able to set aside time to connect in with spirit.

This is where you receive those intuitive hits,

Those insights,

Those little friendly nudges with inspired ideas just waiting for you to take action.

It's only when we are able to sit still and create a sacred space to allow spirit in to that space that we are then able to download those really incredible ideas,

Thoughts and feelings that allow us to transcend from where we are to a higher version of ourselves.

When you are creating your daily ritual,

One thing that I suggest is to have a desire to really loose yourself from any negative emotions and thoughts.

And while we are all typically working to transmute those feelings and to reduce feelings of negativity,

It is really important to allow your space to become as pure as possible.

And even when we are experiencing problems in our lives and challenges and obstacles,

Our sacred space and our sacred time is safe.

And it is a space that allows us to be with just ourselves and spirit.

So having a desire to really remove ourselves from those negative thoughts and emotions will in turn allow us to transcend those into higher vibrational states of being.

I also recommend having tools to help you connect with spirit.

This doesn't have to be super formal,

But it is helpful to have some ideas as to what can help you stay connected.

If you love to read books,

Feel into what you are feeling called to read.

Perhaps you already have a large collection at home or maybe you are feeling drawn to a new type of book that may have something to do with your desired goal in mind.

Having other tools like tarot cards or crystals or just yourself with the intention of being in meditation or prayer is always enough.

If you're thinking of bringing other tools into your practice and you are wanting to cleanse and purify the space to help remove unwanted negative energies,

Then you are always able to use pure essential oils to help cleanse your space or to smudge herbs like lavender,

Sage.

These help to really remove stagnant energies and purify your space.

And this really does allow it to become sacred,

Relaxing,

Inviting,

And comfortable.

So what are some ways that we can stay connected with ourselves and to stay connected with spirit?

Well,

It's a good idea to take a look at your lifestyle and evaluate when you're feeling most able to commit to a daily ritual.

For some,

It will be early in the morning.

For others,

Maybe on their lunch breaks.

And yet for some,

In the evening works best.

And whatever you feel called to do is where you should start.

And you don't have to be locked into a time or place or a day.

It's all about getting started.

And as you grow through this process of creating a daily ritual for yourself,

You'll notice in time that it will evolve.

And that's okay.

It should evolve as do you.

Your daily ritual might be put in place to reach a major goal,

Or it could just be to develop more self-care,

To treat yourself better,

Or to connect in with spirit.

Whether you call the creator spirit,

Source,

God,

It really doesn't matter.

Use whatever word makes you feel comfortable.

So it's no surprise that when you walk into a bookstore,

The self-help category is the leading,

One of the leading genres of books today.

Wherever you turn,

There's someone looking to become healthier,

Reduce bad habits,

Find their true purpose,

Or just to find some sense of similarity in the author's words.

Whenever you're reading books that really make you feel connected to something larger than yourself.

Sometimes when we feel lost in life,

We cling to some of these tools that help us to stay connected.

But remember,

We can also lean on other tools that I've mentioned,

Like crystals or healing stones,

Pure essential oils,

Tarot cards,

Herbs that can be used for health and healing,

Or herbs that can be used for magical purposes.

I really cannot overstate though,

The importance of staying connected to good reading.

And as you are looking for books to read on your particular journey of self-discovery,

Listen to your intuition.

You will often feel pulled to look at or read a specific book,

Or even an author's profile.

And if you feel like your internal GPS is a little rusty,

Still go with it.

What's really vital is that you just start.

So no matter what it is that you want to do,

Whatever that goal is that you're looking to achieve,

Or wherever you want to go,

It's impossible for you to fully arrive as the person you are right now.

In essence,

You have to become someone new in order to gain something new.

And this is where having a daily ritual can really create a huge impact in your life.

You have to be prepared for the next level of you.

Otherwise,

You'll find yourself repeating some of the same lessons,

Coming up against some of the same circumstances,

Sometimes over and over again.

Creating a daily ritual centers us and can help and can have a dramatic effect on our day to day actions and our life as a whole.

And as with anything of importance,

It takes time.

Consistency is required.

Commitment is required.

And when you fall short or skip a day or a week,

Just find the strength to pick yourself back up and start again.

So what are some signs that you are doing this correctly?

There's no perfect way to create a daily ritual.

But some signs that you're getting it right can actually look a little different than you might expect.

When anything advances in our lives,

Some things get left behind.

There are certain things and people that will not be of benefit to us as we progress on our journey.

So what no longer serves us seems to make itself pretty evident as you become more in tuned with yourself,

More tapped in and connected with spirit,

And more committed to your own personal daily practice,

Even if it's a five minute daily practice.

As we become open to spirit or to divine,

To the divine's perfect timing and to messages from spirit,

As we become open,

We become a vessel really for spirit to pour into us,

Allowing us to gradually become our higher,

A higher version of ourselves.

So here are a few signs that your daily ritual or your act of just creating time for this sacred space is actually creating progress.

Sometimes out of nowhere,

Arguments with a partner or a spouse will happen.

Sometimes there's a desire to stop contacting certain people.

And oftentimes these can be people who we are already close to,

Like friends.

There are also times where you will have a very strong desire to be alone.

Not necessarily a space of depression,

But just a place where you find more comfort and joy in being in solitude most of the time.

You might also experience what's been called the dark night of the soul.

I actually like to call it the light night of the soul,

Because although we feel lost at certain times during our lives,

It's actually a time where we are able to find ourselves.

We may not have the entire equation solved,

But by process of elimination,

We begin to see the things that we no longer want,

Which by contrast guides us to the things that we do want.

You might feel like you have a knowing,

A deeper sense that everything is okay,

Even when you don't necessarily see the light at the end of the tunnel.

And lastly,

You will absolutely lose the need to feel accepted by anyone.

Now,

As I mentioned,

These are signs that you're doing this daily ritual thing right,

That you have committed in your mind and in your heart to create a sacred space,

A sacred time for you to connect in with yourself and to spirit.

But these are also signs of ascension,

Signs that you are evolving and growing towards the highest version of you.

So how can we find comfort?

Sometimes being in solitude can feel exhilarating and other times it can feel lonely.

So as you are progressing and evolving,

You will naturally be drawn to people who are going through the same types of things in their own lives.

It may be a friend,

It may be a family member,

Or possibly just an acquaintance or someone who you meet in a support group.

What matters is that you stay connected with people who are along the same vibrational wavelength,

Those people that you just connect with because you just get each other.

This is definitely one way that you can find comfort here.

You'll naturally feel validated without the need to be,

Which can provide reassurance that you are on your soul's path and on the right track.

Maybe you can make your journal your friend.

Another way to find comfort is through writing.

I do recommend making it a daily habit of recording notes,

And it doesn't have to be pages and pages,

But sometimes just to free write and to brainstorm.

Whatever words,

Whatever things are on your mind can be very cathartic and very,

Very supportive.

When we do what's called a brain dump,

You're getting all of the anxious thoughts out of your head and onto the paper.

This also can equal better sleep.

Another thing that makes it really essential to find comfort in your writing is that you get to look back as you progress to see your personal growth stages in real time.

That can be very,

Very impactful and gives you a real sense of pride and accomplishment.

You're also able to release negative thoughts and emotions by facing them head on,

By getting them out of your head and out of your body onto the paper.

In this way,

You acknowledge them and you give yourself space to replace them with higher thoughts,

Beliefs,

And emotions.

So ideally,

You would journal during or after your daily ritual and any other time that you just feel called to do it.

I definitely keep my notebook next to the bed because I seem to get pretty fascinating thoughts or ideas either early in the morning or late at night.

So whatever works for you is where you can start.

So that is the conclusion to the power of ritual.

I really invite you to take a look at your own life.

Where do you see the loopholes?

Where do you see the gaps?

I guarantee that when you create a time to connect with yourself and to connect with spirit,

You are creating a sacred space.

And that sacred space may not always be a permanent fixture in your home.

It may not always look like a dedicated room or a dedicated corner.

It could be you in your bathroom for five to 10 minutes,

Sitting in solitude and setting an intention for the day,

For the night,

For the next day,

Depending on the time that you create your daily ritual.

But what I do know is that it works.

As the old adage goes,

God can't steer a parked car.

So as we grow,

The universe meets us where we are,

But we've got to get ourselves moving.

So that way we begin to feel that universal divine force shifting circumstances in our lives for the better.

I hope that you've enjoyed this healing session on the power of ritual.

I look forward to sharing more insights and I hope that you develop more insights and more intuitive hits just through setting up your powerful daily practice.
