Releasing Fear

There are many reasons we stay stuck in life, but fear is very often at its root. In this meditation, we will release the fear that is preventing us from moving forward in life. We will use our intuition to learn from the fear before we release it.

So there are many reasons why we don't move forward in life.

We can say we don't have the time to move towards our goals.

Or we might say that we're confused,

We don't know exactly what we do want.

Or we can doubt the wisdom of our decisions.

But deep down,

Fear is usually lurking.

We're afraid of making a mistake.

We fear moving forward.

And we fear failing.

And as you know,

Sometimes we even fear being successful.

And today we're going to release some of that fear so that you can take a step closer to your goals.

So let's take a nice big deep breath.

Settling fully into our sacred space.

Connecting in to our bodies.

More closely into this present moment.

Continuing to breathe,

Inhaling and exhaling in your own time.

But intentionally lengthening.

Lengthening that breath.

Deepening the breath.

And as your body starts to soften,

Hopefully your mind is starting to slow down.

As your body allows this moment of presence.

And just in this stillness,

Let's call on some gratitude for your body.

For all the work that it does.

Feeling that gratitude.

Thanking every individual part of your wonderful body.

Let's not name them all now,

But let your body just know that you are grateful for every single cell.

And in this quieter state,

Let's locate the fear.

Just scan the body and try and find where the fear is in your body.

You may have lots of different fears,

But just be guided to where that biggest fear is right now.

So you might feel it in the pit of your stomach.

You might feel it higher up in your stomach.

It might be in your chest,

Low down.

Or higher up,

Close to your neck.

You might feel it in your whole body.

Or you might not feel it at all.

And if you don't know where it is,

Just imagine where you think it would be if you did feel it.

Don't overthink these questions.

Allow your intuition to guide you there.

And if you feel it in a few places,

Again,

Ask your inner wisdom to guide you to one place right now.

And if you want to put a hand there,

Please do so.

And now ask yourself the question,

What does the fear want me to know?

What does this fear want me to know?

Your intuitive voice is usually the first word you hear.

Or the first thing that comes to mind is usually your inner wisdom.

Even if it doesn't make sense in the moment.

Our analytical mind will jump in and try to make more sense of what we think or what we hear or what we sense.

Try and give space to that intuitive voice.

And you can ask the question one more time,

What does my fear want me to know right now?

And after this meditation,

You can write that question in a journal if you heard nothing.

If you heard something,

You can continue the practice in your journal.

If you want to explore more.

Now we're going to come to the fear.

Finding it again in your body.

Maybe if you can't find it,

Assuming that your subconscious mind,

Your inner wisdom knows where it is.

I want you to tell yourself it's safe to let this go.

It's safe to let go of the fear.

You're still in control of your decisions.

But you don't have to carry this fear with you in your body.

So let's take a big cleansing breath in.

And with a big exhale,

Let's release some of that fear.

Continue to do that a couple of times,

Taking big cleansing breaths in.

With each exhale,

Releasing the fear.

Allowing it to leave your body.

Breathing out and letting go.

Continuing to breathe,

Knowing that with each exhale you are releasing.

When we bring our attention to an emotion.

An emotion is just energy.

When we focus on it,

It starts to move.

Energy cannot help but move.

Just like emotion should be in motion.

Breathing in and breathing out and releasing.

In your mind,

You can say I choose love over fear.

I choose movement over stuckness.

And right through the day,

I want you to repeat that mantra.

Every time you feel a tightness and you sense some fear.

Tell yourself I choose love over fear.

Taking a big deep breath and exhaling.

Letting go of that fear.

Knowing that you are in control of your body.

You can choose to let go.

You can choose love over fear.

And release any of that fear that is keeping you stuck in a place that you don't want to be.

And even if you are not ready to move.

You can let go of the fear.

So that when you know the time is right.

You can be ready.

And you no longer need to carry that extra weight with you.

So taking a final big deep breath in.

And a big exhale.

Choosing love over fear.

Have a beautiful inner day.
