So as you all know,
We're here for a self-acceptance meditation and I'm so happy to guide you through that.
And in my work as a yoga teacher and as a mental coach,
I work with this topic a lot because it comes up all the time.
As you probably know,
It always seems to be around and for my clients and for people I work with and for myself of course,
It's always a topic and it's basically where everything starts.
It's basically the kind of precondition on how we live and how we view the world.
And I always like to see this topic as,
I like to see self-acceptance and self-love as like these glasses that we look through at the world.
Because if these glasses are kind of blurry and grey and dark,
Then of course we're going to perceive the world as different and maybe as mean and dark,
As a dark shady place.
That doesn't mean well for us.
But if we kind of clear our glasses a little bit and have like a loving touch to it,
Then we can also perceive the world a bit differently.
And that's why I love this meditation and kind of working on this topic because it makes such a big difference.
And it's wonderful to have you all here working on this topic.
And I would say maybe we should just jump in.
You're always free to ask your questions in the chat or let me know how this topic is for you.
I'm always curious to hear how people go about this topic and where they are in this journey,
Which this really is of self-love.
And yeah,
I would say maybe make yourself comfortable.
You can sit upright either on the floor as I am in a cross-legged position or you can sit on a chair.
You can also lie on the floor for this meditation.
Just make sure that you can breathe properly so that it's easy for you to kind of connect with your breath and get enough air.
That's always a good condition to be in.
So make yourself comfortable in your seated position or lying on the floor.
And then just allow yourself to close your eyes gently.
And take a deep inhale through your nose.
Maybe pull your shoulders up a little bit towards your ears.
Pull the shoulders back and with your exhale just drop your shoulders again.
Let go.
Take another deep inhale through your nose.
Belly goes out.
Hold your breath for a moment.
And exhale.
Let it all go.
Do this one more time.
Inhale deeply.
Belly is big.
Exhale.
Let go.
One more time like this.
Inhale deeply.
Hold your breath for just a moment.
Exhale.
Let it all go.
And then slowly arrive here.
On the floor,
On your chair,
Wherever you are.
And then slowly arrive here.
On the floor,
On your chair,
Wherever you are.
Arrive in the room that you're in.
With all the noises that maybe come with it or the smells.
The vibe.
Arrive where you are.
Observe your breath.
Get into your body.
And then slowly start making a little check in to your body.
See where you hold tension.
Starting with your forehead.
Letting go of any tension there.
With every exhale you can just let any tension go.
Space between your eyebrows.
Your eyes,
They can be heavy.
Your jaw,
Your tongue,
It's all relaxed.
Your shoulders,
They're relaxed.
Letting go of any tension in your belly.
In your hips,
Your legs.
Breathing it all out.
Just arriving here,
Allowing yourself to be here.
In this moment.
Back to your breath.
And observe it for what it is.
Rising and falling sensation.
Seeing where you feel the breath in your body.
Just observing what it does.
To your chest,
Your belly.
Just gently following the breath.
And slowly becoming one with the breath.
Being the breath.
Not trying to change the breath in any way.
Just letting it be.
Whatever the breath wants to be today.
Noticing the temperature of your breath.
And your nose,
Your nostrils.
And slowly start to get a bit of a sense of how it is to be in your body today.
How it is to be you today.
How does it feel being you?
Just getting a general sense here.
Just observing what comes up.
No need to judge it in any way.
Trying to change it.
Just seeing what is here,
What is present.
What is present with you today in this moment.
And then taking a moment of embracing it.
Embrace being you,
Being yourself.
Being able to be here,
Sit here,
Lie here,
Meditate.
Embrace the feeling of being you.
The original you.
And then imagine seeing yourself.
Seeing yourself from the outside.
So taking a step literally outside of your own body.
Taking a step outside of yourself.
Imagine you are stepping outside of your body.
Walking a couple steps.
And then looking at yourself sitting there or lying there.
Imagine you looking at you.
And imagine you see yourself.
And you see yourself with eyes of love and compassion.
Look at yourself in the most compassionate way.
In a new light as you've never seen yourself before.
See yourself.
See this person.
This miracle that you are.
See yourself for all the qualities.
See yourself with all the ups and downs that you've been through.
Acknowledge that you've made it here.
You've made it.
You're here.
See yourself.
See the ups and downs of your life.
See the pain.
See the pain that you've been through.
That you're in.
And look at it with the most loving,
Compassionate way that you can possibly imagine.
As you would for a friend.
See yourself in this new light.
See yourself for what you truly are.
And accepting all the flaws that you might see about yourself.
All the things about yourself.
All the aspects.
Embracing them.
They make you who you are.
They brought you where you are now.
Being proud of yourself for what you've accomplished and for the journey you're on.
Acknowledging your struggles.
Acknowledging your successes.
Acknowledging your path.
See yourself in this light.
And then imagine as you're standing there looking at yourself.
There's a beautiful light going from your heart to yourself.
Beautiful streaming light from your heart to yours.
Connecting you to each other,
To yourself.
And putting all the love in there.
Feeling this love in your heart.
Feeling this sense of compassion.
Understanding.
Understanding who you are and why you are how you are.
Seeing yourself as this complete,
Wonderful person that you are.
You are perfect just the way you are.
And through this light also sending a sense of forgiveness for yourself.
I forgive you.
I forgive you for the flaws or the mistakes.
All the things where I wish they would have been different.
I forgive you.
You didn't know any better by then.
That's fine.
It's okay.
It's okay.
I forgive you.
I see you.
And I love you.
And then if you like embracing yourself,
Giving yourself a big hug,
Acknowledging yourself.
I love that you've hugged yourself.
Just stepping back into your body.
Stepping back into your body,
Arriving there again.
Take an inhale into your heart and let it go.
Take a moment here to feel what is present.
Feeling the love that you've created in your heart.
Feeling a sense of gratitude for yourself,
For being here,
For being able to be here.
And feeling so grateful for having taken the time for yourself to do this work,
To acknowledge yourself.
Take another deep inhale through your nose.
Let go through your mouth.
Another inhale through your nose.
Let it all go through your mouth.
And one more time,
Inhale through your nose.
And let it all go.
And if you like,
Take your hands into a prayer position in front of your heart.
Bow your head and be thankful for taking the time for yourself today.
For being kind and gentle and soft with yourself.
Putting your hands back down onto your knees or on the floor.
Inhaling one more time.
And exhale,
Let it all go.
And slowly open up your eyes again.
Come back and arrive here in this room,
In this moment again.
Welcome back.
Welcome back.
