The year is ending,

And just like the final page of a cherished book,

You have arrived at the edge of something new,

But before we step forward,

We pause,

We breathe,

We acknowledge where we are,

And we gently let go.

This meditation is a journey through the doorways of your past,

Your present and your becoming.

You are here to close what no longer serves you,

Carry forward what empowers you,

And walk calmly into the light of a new beginning.

Lie back,

Let your body soften into stillness,

Allow your arms to rest,

Your jaw to release,

Your eyelids to close gently.

There is nowhere to go,

Nothing to do,

Just this moment.

Breathe in deeply and exhale slowly,

Again breathing in and releasing.

Feel yourself drop,

Just a little,

Deeper into a more peaceful state.

Now,

In your minds eye,

You find yourself standing at the entrance to a long corridor.

The walls are soft with light,

The floor is made of stone,

Worn smooth by footsteps of memories.

This is the corridor of the year you have lived.

Along the hallway are doorways,

Each one glowing faintly,

Each one holding a chapter of your past.

You begin to walk softly,

Slowly,

The first doorway you pass holds a moment of joy.

You peek inside,

You see yourself laughing,

Feeling free,

Grateful and alive.

You smile and nod,

You do not need to relive it,

Just honour it.

Then the door closes with a soft whisper.

The next door holds something unfinished,

A plan,

A dream that didn't bloom.

You look gently inside,

Not with sadness but with acceptance.

You nod to it,

Thank it and close the door.

Take a moment to pass the other doors,

You pass a room of loss,

A room of triumph and a room of growth.

Some of these doors feel heavy and some open easily,

Some may stay closed and that's ok.

You walk now until you reach the final door at the end of the corridor.

It is the doorway of the present,

It opens without effort,

And you step through.

This space is round,

Silent and filled with a golden light.

There is a chair,

A mirror and a window that opens onto the night sky.

You take a seat,

You look at yourself in the mirror,

Not to judge but to witness,

To see how far you've come,

To see the strength in your softness,

To see the courage in your eyes.

You are not the same as you were,

You have grown,

You have shown up for life again and again.

And now,

You are here,

The stars outside the window twinkle,

One falls,

Then another.

You close your eyes and the golden light begins to rise within you.

This is you,

This is your now.

As you open your eyes,

Sat in the chair,

You notice a final doorway.

Unlike the others,

It glows with pure white light,

Pulsing and alive.

This is the doorway to your next chapter,

Your future,

Your becoming.

You do not need to know what lies beyond,

You only need to feel it,

The peace,

The promise,

The possibility.

You stand and walk towards the door,

Your steps are easy and as you reach for the handle,

You pause.

You whisper a goodbye to the year,

To what it was,

To the version of you that has carried you this far.

And as you say thank you,

You turn the handle and the door opens,

Light pours in,

It doesn't blind you,

It welcomes you,

And you step through.

You feel it instantly,

The sense of newness,

The sense of readiness,

And with that feeling,

You drift,

Deeper into sleep.

As you become relaxed and more calm,

You see in front of you,

Someone special.

Someone who has always lived inside of you,

Someone who has been waiting.

Waiting to be remembered,

Waiting to be honoured,

Waiting to be welcomed forward.

Allow your body to soften and let your breath slow down.

Let your thoughts become feathers,

Drifting gently downward.

There is nothing to do,

Nothing to fix,

And nothing to figure out,

Only this quiet path towards your becoming.

Walking through the doorway,

You find yourself standing on a quiet path of white stone.

It winds upward through a snowy forest,

And above you the sky is a deep indigo.

Pine trees stretch towards the heavens,

Their branches heavy with snow.

Each footstep you take is soft and effortless.

You walk with a calm intention in the crisp air.

At the top of the path is a glowing archway,

Beyond it,

A structure made of glass and light,

A circular temple of reflection.

You step inside,

The interior is quiet,

Expansive and round,

The floor beneath your feet is warm stone,

And above,

The ceiling fades into mist.

In the centre of the room is a single mirror,

Framed in golden vines,

Its surface glows faintly.

You approach it slowly,

And the room fades away.

You stand before the mirror,

But it does not show you as you are,

Instead it shows you as you are becoming,

Not a fantasy or perfection,

But truth.

You see a version of yourself who has grown wiser,

Kinder and braver.

This version of you has learned,

Has softened,

Has risen.

You look into the reflection of your eyes,

And you feel the recognition,

There is no distance,

No longing but remembrance.

You have always been this version,

It simply waited to emerge.

The mirror shows you moments from the future,

Laughing with freedom,

Speaking your truth calmly,

Creating something meaningful,

Letting go and beginning again.

You are not watching a stranger,

You are watching yourself,

Who is now more complete.

And the longer you watch,

The more the reflection aligns with you,

Until it no longer feels separate,

But inevitable.

Now you are invited to step forward,

Not into the mirror,

But toward the self within it.

You place your hand on the surface,

It's warm and alive,

The reflection places its hand against yours,

And slowly,

You step into one another.

There is no resistance,

Only welcome,

Only wholeness.

You feel it immediately,

Your breath deepens,

Your heart expands.

You are still you,

But clearer,

Calmer and closer to the truth.

This version of you speaks no words,

But shares a message anyway,

You are ready.

You have always been here,

And now it asks to walk together,

And the mirror begins to fade,

Not gone,

Just absorbed into you.

You are your own mirror now,

You lie down now,

In the centre of the temple,

The stone beneath you is warm,

The air above is still.

The light inside you pulses softly,

Like a heartbeat,

Like a new beginning.

You are not chasing change,

You are inviting it,

You are not fixing yourself,

You are meeting yourself,

And now,

You rest.

Let this version of you dream,

Let it settle into your bones,

You do not need to hold on to anything,

Only breathe and become.

Behind your closed eyelids,

You have arrived at a beautiful threshold,

A place where what was can fall away,

And what could be begins to grow.

This is your garden of second chances,

It's not behind you,

It's within you.

You have always carried the seeds,

And tonight,

You simply plant them.

Now in a forest,

The trees lean towards you,

Protective and still,

Sunlight trickles through the canopy,

Your feet feel warm against the mossy ground.

Ahead is a gate,

Made of wrought iron,

Overgrown with vines,

It swings open easily,

And you step into the garden.

The air smells of earth and pine,

Birdsong echoes quietly,

The sky above is a soft grey,

Ready to snow or rain or shine.

You walk slowly,

Past stone benches,

Ancient oaks and winding roots,

And scattered throughout the soil are small wooden markers,

Each one named something you once wanted,

A forgotten dream,

An idea you never tried,

A path you paused on.

You kneel beside one,

You touch the earth around it,

And you feel it,

It's still warm and it's still alive.

Beside you is a small satchel,

It holds seeds,

Each one glowing faintly,

These are not seeds of pressure or obligation,

They are possibilities.

You pick one up,

You feel what it means,

Not a goal,

But a whisper,

A gentle intention.

You dig a small hole,

Place the seed inside it,

And cover it with soft soil,

And you rest your hand above it.

You do not command it to grow,

You welcome it.

You continue planting,

One seed at a time,

A seed for joy,

For healing,

For peace,

A seed for beginning again.

The garden welcomes each one of them.

You now lie back on a soft bed of moss,

In the centre of the garden,

The earth holds you gently as the sky darkens and the stars begin to form.

You are not waiting for harvest,

You are allowing rest,

The garden needs time,

And so do you.

Close your eyes,

Let the seeds settle deep inside you,

They will bloom when the time is right,

You don't even have to try.

You only need to breathe and sleep,

And trust that beneath the surface,

Everything is already becoming.

Allow your breath to guide you inward,

Towards warmth and stillness.

You now imagine yourself walking across a desert at dusk,

But this is not an empty place,

It is a sacred space.

The sand glows with a soft amber light,

The air hums with a quiet energy,

And in the distance,

You see a round stone structure,

Ancient and beckoning.

You slowly walk towards it with reverence,

The doorway glows red gold,

And you step inside.

The chamber is circular,

Its walls are made of smooth volcanic rock.

In the centre is a fire,

Not burning wildly,

But alive,

Controlled and wise.

It dances gently,

With colour that shifts from orange to violet to white.

The chamber is silent except for the sound of this fire,

It crackles softly as those speaking a language of letting go.

You sit near it,

Feeling its heat,

Not on your skin,

But in your spirit.

The fire welcomes you,

And you offer it something,

A memory,

A fear,

A version of yourself you no longer need.

You hold it gently in your heart,

And then,

You breathe it out,

Into the flame.

The fire accepts it,

And transforms it,

Ash becomes light,

And you feel lighter too.

Now the flames begin to shift,

They rise around you in a slow spiral.

You lie down on a bed of soft ash and moss,

The chamber dims,

The fire becomes a cocoon of glowing light,

And you are safe inside it,

Wrapped in transformation.

Here,

You do nothing,

You release all roles,

All labels,

And all trying.

You are not past,

Nor future,

You are becoming.

The fire holds you in warmth,

Melting away tension,

And as you breathe,

Your breath becomes wind.

You rest,

And the rest becomes renewal.

You are shedding,

You are sleeping in sacred flame.

As the cocoon fades,

The flames and the fire dim,

But within you,

A new warmth remains,

Just glowing.

The chamber opens,

And stars appear through the roof above.

Now,

Lying still,

Something inside of you is rising,

Like wings spreading without effort,

Like breath flowing without fear.

You are not who you were,

You are not yet who you will be.

You are the space between.

Let sleep hold you now,

Let it carry the embers of who you are becoming.

The phoenix does not rush to fly,

First it rests,

And so will you as you just let go.

You are allowed to let go of what no longer serves you.

You can thank the past for its lessons,

And release it with love.

You did your best this year,

And that is enough.

You don't have to carry the weight of this year any longer.

You are not defined by old stories or past mistakes.

Every exhalation lets something go.

Your body is safe to relax,

Your spirit is safe to rest.

You can trust the unfolding of your life without holding on so tightly.

You are free from fear tonight,

The past has shaped you,

But it no longer limits you.

You are already becoming who you were meant to be.

This new chapter begins in stillness and self trust.

The dreams you carry are quietly planting themselves in your sleep.

You don't need to see it all clearly to keep growing.

You have come so far,

And now you are ready for more.

You rise stronger and softer with every new day.

Your growth doesn't need to be loud to be powerful.

You are expanding in all the right ways,

Even in rest.

You are allowed to begin again,

Gently and fully.

You are becoming more whole with every breath you take.

You are enough,

Exactly as you are tonight.

You are allowed to love who you are becoming.

You can be proud of how far you have come.

You deserve deep peace,

True joy and your own love.

Every part of you,

Past,

Present and future,

Belongs here.

You can rewrite your story any time you choose.

You speak to yourself with kindness and that changes everything.

You are your own safe haven.

You don't need to earn rest,

You already deserve it.

You are aligned with a peaceful,

Purposeful future.

You walk into the new year with open hands and a steady heart.

So many beautiful things are quietly forming for you.

You can trust that clarity will come when it's ready.

Every ending has planted the seed of a new beginning.

You are ready to become more of yourself.

Your path is unfolding with magic,

Even if you can't see it yet.

You are open to receiving the goodness that is meant for you.

This new year holds more than you ever imagined.

As you fall asleep,

You do so knowing your future is rising to meet you.
