Hello and welcome to this practice,
Release Anxiety and Overcome Trauma.
In today's guided meditation we will be becoming aware of what is making us anxious,
Look deep into it and find the loving spirit,
The compassion to let go of trauma,
Be it for what it is,
Recall these events that may not be serving us and paint a greater,
More present future for ourselves.
So I invite you to begin now by coming into a comfortable position,
Whether it's seated or lying,
Allowing your spine to be straight,
Extended and just relaxing into a couple of breaths,
Becoming aware of the sensation of the air coming in and the air coming out and feeling that just for this moment,
Just for this short time you can let go of any preoccupations,
Discharge all the accumulated energy of the day and just simply coming into this sensation of your breath.
See if you can feel your lungs expanding your belly and chest.
See if you can feel that gradual deflation naturally as you exhale,
Softening your face,
Strengthening your jaw and being present to the rhythm of your breath.
Noticing if the mind starts to wander,
Noticing if there are any recurring thoughts,
Just becoming present,
Coming back to the body,
Coming back to the breath.
With each breath,
Just feeling you can soften a little bit more,
Let go a little bit more from any need to think or do or be somewhere else.
And seeing if you can start to center your attention on your heart,
Growing sensitive to your heart.
Feeling a slightly deeper inhalation now in through the nose and letting everything go through the mouth.
So in this state of contemplation,
I invite you now to just become aware of any anxiety,
Anything that may have guided you into this practice today,
Anything that may be pulling at you and creating discomfort and pain at this moment in your life.
So once you have that in your mind,
Just connect to the emotion.
So let go of the thing in particular or any thoughts around it and just come into that feeling,
That sensation of anxiety,
Allowing yourself to,
With love,
With gentleness,
Fully experience it.
Allowing that emotion,
That energy to just begin moving through you.
And as you breathe now,
Using your breath as a tool,
Just breathing through,
Allowing this force to move through you.
And as you observe this anxious energy,
This nervousness,
Also become aware of where you're feeling it in the body and seeing if it becomes stuck or concentrated anywhere.
And again,
Using the breath just to breathe a little bit more space and light and loosening up into your whole sense of being.
And as you witness this,
As you start to feel a greater scope of being,
Enter into the picture,
Into your experience,
See if you can call for its support to really let go of anything you might be holding.
And with this intention,
With this direction,
See if you can perceive any underlying traumas that may be connected to this anxiety.
Perhaps a moment in the past comes into your mind,
Perhaps a belief or a future outcome enters into your awareness.
Perhaps you have a vision or something that you can imagine that is connected to this anxiety.
And just as before,
With loving compassion,
With your breath,
Feel that you can metabolize,
Feel that you can almost purge and let yourself experience this pain,
This trauma,
Just move and start to flow and be freed from your body.
And there's nothing to think about now,
Just allowing for this natural healing process that you've already started to continue and evolve in your body.
Realizing your pain,
Loving yourself,
Becoming present to your infinite strength.
It all exists here for you in the warmth of your heart,
With love and compassion.
And I invite you now to affirm and say to yourself,
I am free,
I am free from suffering,
I am free to love,
I am free to release all trauma,
Anxiety and inhabit this moment as my truth.
Bringing your hands to your heart,
Giving yourself a little bit of a hug and warmth,
Thanking yourself for undertaking this process today and connecting with yourself.
Thank you.
Namaste.
