Digital enslavement.
Is it so that we are hooked at one with our phones?
All aspects of life synchronised with this device?
Is it so that data is king?
That we are but a mark,
Our engagement being sold,
The most optimised media making its way in through our eyes,
Sparking our mind,
Diminishing heart?
Is it so that we are enslaved,
Engrossed on a dopamine trip of notifications,
Alerts,
FOMO the latest news includes us all?
But at what cost?
What is the price we pay?
Our text next saw our eyes throbbing and social status all but bruised.
Have we forgotten our souls as we drift to live to decay,
Vicariously going down the rabbit hole of utter dismay?
Or is there light at the end of the tunnel?
Is this access to all information at our fingertips denoting a new possibility for life,
For education,
For knowing our world and our very selves?
Is there hope as we here embrace these mediums as tools for the future we wish for,
As a means to communicate,
Share our voice,
Seek,
Learn and resolve?
Think.
Think about it.
Think about how this revolution of digital domain enters into our human story to impact the flow and exchange of information from one human to another,
Crossing continents,
Boundaries of race,
Class and belief,
Transcending the planes of time and space.
What a relief.
Are we arriving to the fifth dimension as we know it to be the way in which we see through each other's differences,
Sharing our commonality?
I guess the choice lies in each and every one of us,
In each moment we receive essentially the question to ask being.
Do we scroll one more time out of curiosity?
Or is it an impending fear of not knowing how to be with ourselves and escape from the world and serving nothing?
How to know this?
From which place do we choose?
It's not a process of rationale,
But a motivation towards living with peace,
Seeing our future as bright upon the dark shining our compassionate light.
Then after this,
After this all matters dissolve as we become one.
Scroll heart,
Mind and soul.
