Believe it means to feel it,
Not to force it,
Not to grip it,
Not to perform certainty,
Just to become available to the experience without filter,
To let life surprise you,
Expand.
Broaden yourself,
Your mind,
Your heart,
And your entire being while remaining specific at the same time,
Poetic and piercing.
Root deeper into yourself,
Your values,
Your inner compass,
Your own frequency,
And along the way,
You may come across driftwoods,
What I like to call the premature sheen,
Little proofs,
Glimpses,
Evidence that your deepest desires do,
In fact,
Exist.
But until those fully arrive,
Be willing to adorn yourself in the energy first.
Bathe in your own honey.
Bask in your own rays,
The ones that radiate from the inside out.
Become selective about the frequencies you omit and the ones that you attune to.
Every input matters,
Every output matters.
Words,
Thoughts,
Music,
Tone,
Environment,
Attention.
It really is about alignment and discernment,
And one informs the other.
Stay with yourself.
Be ruthless in your refusal to self-abandon.
Take it off the bingo card completely,
Because even if you don't stamp it,
You'll still know that it could be called,
And that is enough to pull you out of your own lane.
Stay with yourself,
Stay on your game,
Stay rooted in your own way,
And understand this too.
The same way that you've crafted stories about the people that you've met throughout your life,
Other people will create stories about you.
You will play roles in their narratives.
You cannot control what you mean to someone else.
You cannot control whether their interpretation is true,
And most of the time,
It has very little to do with you.
Some people will ride alongside you for miles,
And then one day,
A fork in the road will appear.
That fork does not erase the journey that you shared together,
It did its job.
Be grateful,
Grieve if you need to,
How you need to,
Breathe,
Move forward,
But don't lock your emotions in the basement pretending that they're not there.
Everything comes to light eventually,
And what we avoid today usually becomes a much bigger mess later.
Let yourself face the flames of life.
Trust the elements within you.
The parts that know how to tame the fire,
To curb the fire,
Or to nurture it,
Or to let it burn long enough to illuminate something necessary.
You already have what it takes.
It's not a matter of if things will be okay.
Look at you,
You're still here,
Still in the game.
Even during the seasons you were benched,
Injured,
Training,
Recovering,
Quietly rebuilding when nobody else could see it,
It all counted,
It was all a part of it,
All valid,
All valuable.
So recenter yourself again,
Again,
Again.
