Welcome,
Maybe you're like me and you've been told that you need to focus more often so that you can remember things more clearly and pay attention.
This audio can be helpful to prepare for those moments when you need to mindfully focus and let go of any distractions.
So we're going to begin by allowing your eyes to close or half close and setting the intention that you're ready to become calm and focused on yourself.
So take a moment to tune into your body,
Noticing the areas that feel like they need to stretch and allow your body to stretch gently and mindfully,
Paying attention to how you move,
The energy it requires to move and stretch and any thoughts that arise as you stretch into a more comfortable position.
And this time I wonder if it's possible to imagine or just pretend that as you stretch a calming blue stream of water is flowing down through your neck,
Your shoulders and your body,
Flowing through your arms and your legs and perhaps you're noticing if it feels warming or cooling and whatever that is,
It's perfect for you.
And as it begins to flow through you and you gently stretch,
You notice how much easier it is to stretch and relax a little deeper.
And how much easier it is to pay attention to your body and all of its messages.
And as you focus,
As you focus and tune into your body,
I wonder if you can begin to notice your energy levels.
Do you feel awake,
Peaceful,
Happy,
Sad,
Angry,
Scared,
Perhaps frustrated or even tired?
Notice what you're feeling right now and you might even begin to notice where in your body you feel it.
And then take a moment just to invite into that place a sense of calm peace.
It might be the feeling of being wrapped in a comforting blanket or simply feeling your feet on the floor or imagining that right now you're in a place that is special to you.
Notice how it feels all through your body as you invite in and breathe in a sense of calm peace.
The next slow deep breath allowing your heart to sink into that calm peaceful feeling.
And now we're going to allow your mind and senses to focus on a feeling that will help you to feel awake and energized.
I wonder if you can remember the sensation of placing a warm wet towel on your face.
Just hot enough to feel the steam relaxing all the tiny muscles in your face and around your eyes.
Remembering how you could sense the warmth through your nostrils and maybe even now sinking into that warm relaxing feeling and remembering how cooling it feels when you took the towel away from your face.
And to awaken your senses even more I wonder if you could remember the feeling of taking a cold wet towel and placing it on your face and noticing now how that memory of the cold awakens all the senses your fingertips and face.
Perhaps you have a memory of wiping away ice cream or chocolate from your face and enjoying the feeling of feeling clean and content refreshed and maybe even ready for your next adventure.
And I wonder if you can take a moment now to tune into the sounds around you.
Noticing what's in the background and how it makes you feel for just a moment.
And then allow your awareness the sounds to fade away as you now take your attention to your hands.
Your hands allow you to do so many incredible things so take a moment to sense into your fingertips perhaps rubbing them together.
And your fingers belong to that tiny baby that was once you.
Your fingers have allowed you to explore and do so much in the world and much of what you've learnt about yourself and the world around you you've learnt through the sense of touch.
And as you begin to move your fingers and hands maybe you could even thank them for all they let you do and learn.
And set the intention that after this practice you'll allow your fingers to help you to learn even more all the things that are important to you.
You might even find that after this practice you'll notice your hands even more.
Notice how they are helping you to learn and do all the things that make you a very special person.
Your helping hands are now ready to listen to the very special inner voice that is you.
And I wonder if you can begin to think about what's important to you right now.
Is there something that you'd like to be good at?
What are your goals?
And as you begin to think of it some pictures might pop into your mind,
Some feelings or senses as you tune in to all the things that you want to be good at.
And I wonder if you can imagine those things now as if they've already happened.
Noticing that future you,
Noticing what you can see in the future,
What you can sense in your body,
Hear around you,
Smell or even taste.
Noticing what you believe about yourself in the future as if it's already happened.
And how other people are also noticing all these positive changes in you.
You've taken the time to plan and focus on achieving these great things in the future.
And now imagine taking all those images,
Feelings,
Beliefs and knowledge about yourself and placing them into your hands,
Your feet and your heart.
Taking all the knowledge from the future you and placing it into your mind and body now.
Your hands,
Your feet and all parts of your mind and body.
Remember what it's like to learn by tuning into your thoughts and allowing your body to follow.
And by tuning into your body and allowing your mind to follow.
This helped you from the moment you were born and every day and in every way you're becoming better and better at learning and focusing.
Trusting the inner voice that is always kind and encouraging.
Encouraging you to be curious and hopeful.
And that inner voice knows how to get you to where you want to be.
So with the next deep breath coming back to the present,
Thanking all of your senses for helping you right now.
As you continue to feel that feeling of relaxed calm,
That calm inner voice that's guiding you to achieving all your special goals today and into the future.
And as you open your eyes now,
Becoming aware of how many new things you can see around you as you focus your attention.
How many new things you can hear.
How many things you can smell and perhaps even taste.
And tuning into that calm inner voice.
So focus on what you want to do and that inner voice will continue to guide you.
