Close your eyes in preparation for deep relaxation and allow your attention to go to all the sounds around you.
Using your awareness to take in any smells and becoming aware of the temperature of your environment.
You can start to get a sense of how much space is around you.
Allow each deep out breath to relax your eyelids even more.
You may become aware of there's any light penetrating through your eyelids.
Perhaps creating colors or shapes.
Becoming aware of any movement in your eyelids.
And again allowing each long exhalation to relax them even more.
And as you turn your focus to your breathing,
I wonder if you could imagine drawing a curtain across your eyelids and closing them in a curtain of privacy and security which automatically relaxes you even deeper.
And as your mind drifts in this comforting quiet space,
Saving the knowledge that this is your time to nurture your heart,
Your mind,
Your body and spirit.
You may become aware of the cycle of your breathing.
Feeling the coolness and sensation of air passing in through your nostrils.
And with the next out breath,
Allow a strong exhalation,
Deep sigh.
Feeling your shoulders drop,
Feeling your diaphragm release,
Letting go of any tension across your chest and shoulders.
And just allow yourself to take as many deep sighs as you need.
Each one affirming to your body that you're safe and it's safe to release all held tension right now.
And as you affirm this in your mind,
Notice where in your body you feel this release.
This gentle softening of your muscles,
The relaxation of all the tendons,
Relaxing the bones.
You can bring your attention to where you may be touching the ground or feeling supported.
Bringing your attention to your spine.
Feeling any tension that you may be holding in your neck.
Breathing that relaxation down through the shoulders.
Feeling that relaxation down past the shoulder blades,
Through the middle back,
Lower back and down through your coccyx.
Now bring your attention to your heart and your chest.
Just noticing your heartbeat as it begins to slow even more with each gentle out breath.
And as we experience many difficult situations in our lives,
We may start to protect our heart,
Armoring it against certain experiences.
Armoring ourselves against people or judgements.
Or fears.
And you may use this time to let go of any armament or protection you may have placed around your heart that's hindering you from moving forward.
And as you breathe in and your lungs warm the air,
Just like a candle,
Feel yourself warming in your chest and heart.
Just as the flames of a candle flicker,
Feel that warmth within.
Beginning to melt any tension,
Any difficult emotions,
Any negative beliefs you may be holding to your heart.
Allow those emotions and tension to melt,
Drip by drip,
Flowing down and out through the soles of your feet,
Just like the dripping wax of a candle.
You may even see it as a pool all around you.
And as all those stored,
Trapped,
Difficult emotions melt away from your heart,
Feel your chest lighten.
Your breathing to come easier,
More freely.
Letting away or difficult or limiting beliefs about yourself.
Letting go of all the beliefs you may have taken on from others that do not serve your soul's purpose.
And as you feel that protective armor dissolve around your heart,
I wonder what new beliefs you'd like to place there.
Beliefs about trusting your intuition,
Trusting your ability and trusting that you can achieve whatever you set out to achieve.
And as you allow the hard exterior to melt and soften,
Allowing in positive new experiences.
Opening yourself to the beauty of experiences.
Opening yourself to trust,
To feel and be joyful.
And I wonder if you could see yourself now in the reflection of all that has melted away.
The reflection of perfection.
Your inner soul shining through,
Vibrant and alive,
Trusting in your own power.
Guided by your intuition,
Guided by your inner wisdom.
And as you breathe,
Breathing into this new sense of personal power,
Feel gratitude for this experience and commit to feeling it as often as you need.
And if you want to drift off into a relaxed sleep,
