Hello and thank you for joining me today for a short guided meditation.

Taking this time to set up in a space that's comfortable for you.

You can be in a seat on the ground,

In the chair,

Or lying down,

Or anywhere else that's comfortable for you.

Once you are there,

Taking a few moments to breathe,

To just notice your breath.

Allowing your breath to come in and out.

During our meditation today,

We're going to become aware of our breath and the connection our breath has with our body.

So as you begin to breathe,

Hopefully you're already breathing,

But beginning to find that connection,

To notice and become aware of how your body reacts and changes as you take a breath in and as you release that air out.

Just taking one clearing breath,

A full breath in,

And a big sigh out.

Moving through a little pranayama before we move into the meditation.

Taking this time to take any adjustment and to lengthen your spine,

Allowing your chest to lift and your abdomen to be open.

Allowing your next inhale to draw air into your belly,

The deep belly breath.

As you exhale out through your nose,

Slow and steady,

Letting the belly release down.

Another just like that,

A breath in,

Slow out through your nose.

Just one more deep into your belly,

Slow out through your nose.

And falling back into your natural breath.

Your breath happens when you're not trying to control it.

As you breathe,

Letting your awareness,

Your mind move into your heart center.

Allowing your mind to be aware of that space in the center of your chest,

The center of your body.

That space between your lungs.

As you breathe,

Noticing what is happening in that space.

Noticing what is happening around your heart.

Allowing your awareness to follow the air as it moves into your body.

Coming in through your nose,

Your throat,

Your chest,

Into your lungs,

Pressing against the space in your chest cavity,

Pressing against that space in your heart center.

Allowing you to follow it into your blood,

Into your body.

Feeling that transition from external to internal.

The oxygen moving into the blood,

Moving around your body.

When it's ready,

It moves back into your lungs and is released out.

This process of breathing.

It's an action the same way as we eat and drink.

You're taking in sustenance.

As you breathe with intention,

With purpose.

Feeling your body as you absorb and release.

Letting this act be as sacred as any other that you do.

Allowing yourself to take one final clearing breath here.

A full deep breath in to nourish.

A full exhale out to release.

Allowing you to take this connection of your breath and your body with you as you move throughout this world,

Throughout this lifetime.
