This practice supports a deep connection to the element of water,
Connecting in to the Svadhisana Chakra,
The Sacral Chakra,
With an emphasis on the energy of creativity,
Fluidity and life,
Going with the flow of the seasons and the cycles,
Promoting emotional balance,
Sensuality,
Sexuality,
And connecting in with your dreams.
When we work with water,
We deeply connect to movement and flow and the natural rhythms of life.
In this practice,
We tap into the power of the earth,
The healing of the water and the natural cycles to restore balance and healing within the Svadhisana Chakra.
Ensure your comfort now for this practice,
And if there's any adjustments that need to happen,
Eyes open or eyes closed.
And take a few deep breaths to center yourself into this moment.
Let's take a moment now to connect in to this incredible point of light within our physical,
Emotional and energetic bodies,
In the center of the pelvis and the hips.
Imagine a vibrant orange sphere of energy glowing in this space.
It may begin as a sphere,
It may change and become a flower or a crystal or a shape or a feeling.
However you connect to it,
Embrace the energy of water,
This soft and gentle dancing,
Flowing,
Feeling or imagery.
There is no restrictions when we work with the sacral,
There's no blocks or ties,
This is a flowing,
Sensual,
Creative point.
Water is an incredible way to connect into nature,
Whether you're standing out in a tropical rainstorm,
You're floating on a lake,
You're standing underneath a shower,
You are playing in the ocean.
Water brings you home.
Imagine a gentle flow of water like a stream,
Flowing through this sacral energy now.
Yours might be gently moving in one direction,
It might be dancing and swirling all around the hips and the pelvis,
Interweaving in between the physical body and energetic and external.
This water is fluid,
It's movement,
It's nourishment.
And as it moves and gently dances around your hips and pelvis,
Feel it washing away any negative energy and leaving behind a beautiful sense of emotional freedom.
The traditional mantra for the sacral chakra is VAM,
V-A-M,
VAM.
This mantra is believed to resonate with the energy of water,
With the energy of the svadhisthana.
Continue to breathe in a gentle,
Steady rhythm for you and on your inhales,
Internally repeating VAM,
And on your exhales,
Internally repeating VAM.
Inhale VAM,
Exhale VAM.
Inhale VAM,
Exhale VAM.
And your mantra may be short,
Your mantra may be long,
And it may change continuously.
Go with the flow of the energy.
Let this sound of this mantra vibrate all the way down to the sacral,
Inviting it to activate and to heal and to balance this energy center.
Inhale VAM,
Exhale VAM.
Visualize that flow of water,
That gentle stream or swirling dance of water around the hips,
Swirling,
Moving,
And clearing stagnant energy and bringing with it new vitality.
Inhale VAM,
Exhale VAM.
Inhale VAM,
And exhale VAM.
In a moment,
I will share with you various different bodies of water.
Maybe one or more will really resonate with you today,
And this is where you will take yourself in your imagination.
The stillness of a serene lake,
And the surface of the lake like a mirror reflecting the beautiful nature around it.
The calmness of a river,
Utter peace and calmness.
The flowing dance of a river as it bravely and confidently flows,
Knowing that it will go exactly where it needs.
A continual gentle dance of movement and fluidity.
The playfulness of the ocean waves as they splash into the shore and then run away again,
Connecting you to the childlike play of splashing and diving and teasing and moving.
The powerful energy of a waterfall,
Cleansing,
Washing down,
Moving,
Shifting,
Cleaning,
Clearing.
And the warmth of a womb to be held,
To be safe,
To be secure,
To be nurtured and nourished.
Connecting to one or more of those elements of water and what you need from it in this moment.
See yourself in that water and what it's doing for you today.
Breathe.
Inhale,
Vam.
Exhale,
Vam.
Inhale,
Vam.
Exhale,
Vam.
With every breath,
With every repetition of the mantra,
Feel the fluidity of the water energy entering your body,
Especially in the hips.
Cleansing,
Releasing,
Healing,
Nourishing,
Rejuvenating.
And with every repetition of Vam,
With every inhale,
Vam,
And exhale,
Vam,
Feel yourself becoming one with the natural flow of water and give permission to anything that is stuck and anything that is resisting to move freely,
To flow,
Allowing any tension in your body to dissolve,
Dissolve into the water,
Feeling more free and open and fluid with every single breath.
Taking a big inhale of Vam and a big exhale of Vam and moving into your affirmations.
I am fluid and free.
I am fluid and free.
I flow with life's natural rhythms.
I flow with life's natural rhythms.
Creativity flows through me like water.
Creativity flows through me like water.
I honor my emotions and let them pass through as and when they need.
I honor my emotions and let them pass through as and when I need.
Inhale,
Vam.
Exhale,
Vam.
The mantra resonating again deeply in your body,
Reinforcing your connection to your creativity,
Emotional freedom,
And nature's life-giving flow.
Notice how loud your mantra is in your head right now.
Could you make it louder?
Allow that vibration to resonate even deeper and then start to make it quieter until the mantra becomes completely silent,
Yet the vibration of Vam remains in your body.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and as you exhale,
Feel yourself firmly anchored into this moment.
The fluid energy of water flowing through you and at the same time,
You are calm and at peace.
Take a moment to hold gratitude to the energy of water and this earth and nature around us for sharing the energy of water.
In whichever body that may be,
Express gratitude for your own energy,
Your creativity,
Your ability to flow with life's changes.
Inhale and exhale.
And to close this practice,
Bringing your awareness back to the beautiful orb of orange light and energy in the center of your hips,
Flowing,
Playing,
And smile.
One more deep inhale.
Imagine that you're riding up the crest of a wave to the highest point and then a big exhale as you ride back down that wave and back into this moment.
Namaste.
