Take a moment to land,
To arrive,
To breathe yourself all the way into now.
By doing this practice you have made space for yourself in this moment and that in itself is sacred.
This is an invitation to come back into balance and not the kind of balance that is rigid and perfect but the kind that flows.
The balance that allows the expansion and the softening and the adjusting to life's ups and downs.
We currently live in a world of full calendars and schedules and half full cups and we are torn between duty and desire,
Hustle and stillness and doing and being.
And we are inviting a sense of grounded clarity under this moon.
In this practice we return to the Tao,
The balance within us.
The gentle whisper that says to us we don't always have to choose one or the other,
We can sit within all the energies.
This is your time to to recalibrate and to honour your responsibilities and also your rest,
To honour your work and also your wonder,
To honour your goals as well as your soul.
So let's begin now,
Close your eyes if they are still open and begin to gently turn inwards.
Let your breath soften you and let the exhale lengthen as if you're sighing out the weight of the day.
Become deeply and lovingly aware of your whole body,
Supported and still and soft.
With the awareness on your beautiful body,
The only home that you will ever truly own.
And we take a scan through the body on both sides,
Awareness of how you feel from the left side to the right side.
So we begin with the left side of your body,
Your feminine,
The intuitive feeling side.
Notice any sensations that you have in your left foot or left toes,
The left hip,
Leg,
Knee,
The left ribs,
The shoulder,
The left arm,
Elbow,
Wrist,
The hands and the fingertips,
The left side of your head and face,
Left eye,
Left ear,
Left nostril.
Be aware of the entire left side of your body,
What does this side of you carry?
What stories or emotions are currently living there?
Does the left side of you feel soft,
Open?
Does it feel tired or alive?
This is a scan of awareness and not judgment.
And gently shift your awareness to the right side,
The masculine,
The active,
The expressive side.
Feel into your right foot and your toes,
All the way up your right leg,
Ankle,
Knee and hip,
Into the right ribcage,
The right shoulder,
Right arm,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Hands,
Fingers.
And the left side of the right side of your face,
Right nostril,
Right eye,
Ear,
Completely aware of the right side of the body.
What energy or emotion is currently sitting on the right side?
What is one of the sides louder than the other one?
Is one of the sides of the body being asked to be heard?
Does one hold more physical tension or tightness?
Does one whisper to you?
Now hold both sides in your awareness all at once.
And imagine a sacred meeting point in the center,
A golden line running all the way up between the soles of the feet and out through the top of the head,
The inner dhow,
The inner balance,
Not either or,
But both.
And from this space of inner equilibrium,
We take our dreamy journey deeper now.
You begin this journey,
Standing in a quiet mountain meadow and the night sky stretching wide,
Wide above you,
And there,
Luminous and full,
The moon rises over a stone ridge.
And she is glowing,
Silver,
Ancient,
Watching you with the calm wisdom of the ages.
And she whispers,
You are not here to do it all,
But to simply be all that you are.
You feel the earth,
The vibration of Pachamama beneath your feet.
And you notice the breath in and the breath out,
Softening your body even more into this space.
And ahead of you in the meadow,
Under the moonlight,
You see a stone circle.
And in your hands,
You have three gifts,
Three offerings that you're going to place within the circle.
One for your work or your responsibilities,
One for your joy,
Your play,
And one for your soul.
So taking the offering or the gift that represents your work,
Your purpose or responsibilities,
And you place it into the circle.
And you honor the work that you do.
And in this moment,
You give yourself permission to release the pressure to prove yourself to anyone or anything.
You take the offering for your joy and your play and you place it into the circle.
Honoring the part of you that wants to laugh and play and create without reason.
And in this moment,
Committing to yourself the energy of spontaneity and play and fun without guilt or delay.
And the final offering is one for your soul,
Your spirit.
And here in this sacred moment,
Knowing that the stillness within you needs nothing but truth.
A reminder that you need to just be and not do.
A reminder to have the courage to listen and honor your intuition.
A reminder to be still.
And the moonlight beams down and touches each of these offerings.
And as it does,
You feel parts of your life gently clear.
And you click back into harmony,
Not in perfect symmetry,
But in the perfect rhythm for you.
Like the breath and the pause,
The moonrise and the sunrise.
Finding its own rhythm,
Its own harmony.
And just for now,
Breathe into this beautiful place of balance.
There is a soft wind that gently blows around you,
Carrying the scent of pine and earth and ancient stones.
You feel the presence of time itself here.
The lives that lived here before you and the rhythm of the earth and the seasons of the energy of the ancestors who understood the beauty of cycles.
Who planted their seeds by the moonlight and harvested under the sun.
Invite their wisdom to flow into you,
For they were the ones who knew that balance is not a destination or a goal,
But dance.
This energy does not demand perfection.
It's inviting to you find a rhythm that supports your soul,
That allows you to show up for yourself consistently and kindly,
For this is sacred.
We're not trying to be perfect.
Bring the light of the moon into your heart center now,
Breathe it in.
Let it settle deep into your chest,
A glowing seed.
Feel the base of your spine,
Awaken with earth energy as it rises up through the spine.
Feel the center column of the body passing through the glowing heart center and all the way up to the crown.
Sense the left side of your body again,
The intuitive side,
The creative side.
And then be aware of the right,
The expressive side and the active side and then once more feel how they meet in harmony.
Breathing light into the heart center.
And finding a still point between those two energies,
A pause,
A moment in the center of all those different energies,
All those parts of your life coming together as one.
Feel as if a river of moonlight is flowing through you,
Balancing you,
Blessing you,
Bringing you back home to yourself.
And as you bathe in this light,
Ask yourself,
What's one small step that I can take now to bring myself back into a place of harmony and balance.
Imagine the yin and yang symbol,
The black side on the left,
The white side on the right and the river of balance that runs through the center.
It's not a straight line,
It moves and it flows with the energy.
You are not striving to be perfect and completely in alignment,
You are holding the intention that you will pull and push when needed.
You will breathe deeper when it's called upon.
You will rest more when the body is craving the rest.
You are allowed to be powerful and yet peaceful at the same time.
You can be organized and still overflowing with joy.
You can plan and you can still play.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
And as you exhale,
Sigh the breath out.
Coming back into your body,
Into your breath,
Into the beat of your heart.
May finding your balance feel like freedom.
Take another inhale.
And another exhale.
Holding gratitude that you've made space for yourself in this practice.
Expanding and softening.
Listening and receiving.
Waxing and waning just like the moon.
From my light to your light.
I see you,
I hear you,
I feel you,
I connect to you.
Namaste.
