Taking this time to come to land where you are.
You could be seated or lying down and just making any adjustments so that you are a little more comfortable,
A little more at ease,
Softening all the edges of the body and bringing your awareness to the breath.
Focusing on lengthening your exhalations.
Each exhalation grows a little longer.
The inhales naturally lengthen.
Focusing on this release,
Enabling the action to occur with a little more ease,
A little less effort.
And as you come to land in your space,
Connecting with the breath and checking in with where your energy is at in this moment.
The intention for this meditation is to cultivate a connection with Udana Vayu,
The subtle wind energy of the body,
The mind.
Deepening your connection with Udana Vayu and fostering a balanced flow of this subtle energy.
Udana Vayu is the wind energy that predominantly resides in the throat,
In the head.
It's energy that moves up and out.
Udana Vayu is related to our expression,
Our voice,
And how we move forward in the world.
Balanced Udana Vayu supports expression,
Clarity,
And a sense of lightness in the mind.
Balanced Udana Vayu enables you to move forward with intention.
Moving forward from a place of being established in the self.
Living with intention.
Living with a balanced flow in alignment.
There is an invitation to create a hand gesture,
A mudra,
That fosters this connection with Udana Vayu.
With your wrists relaxed,
Your palms facing up,
You can begin to guide the tips of your index finger,
Middle finger,
And ring finger to the tip of your thumb.
You can do this with both hands,
Keeping the little finger straight.
Just holding this Udana Vayu mudra,
Balancing the ether element,
The element of space.
Fostering clear communication and intuition.
Now,
Beginning to visualize a gentle upward flow of energy.
Moving through the chest,
Into the throat.
The throat is soft.
And this upward flow of energy continues reaching up into the center of your head.
And then lifting towards the crown of your head.
And this is Udana's pathway,
Rising toward clarity and uplifting.
With each breath,
Imagine this energy flowing upward like a soft current of lightness,
Of ease.
Sense it lifting any mental fog,
Bringing clarity and a feeling of lightness.
The heart space is lifted,
But soft.
The shoulders drawing down from the ears.
Settling and relaxed.
Feeling this clear channel,
This clear pathway for Udana Vayu upward moving energy.
To flow through.
Filling the chest.
Feeling the flow up into the throat.
The whole head.
Through the crown.
All the lines of the face are soft.
And the space in between the eyebrows.
All the muscles around the eyes,
Behind the eyes.
The cheekbones are soft.
The upper lip.
Lower lip.
Middle of the chin.
Each soft and relaxed.
The neck is long.
The jaw is soft.
The jaw releases.
Imagine each inhale nourishing your voice.
Strengthening your sense of purpose.
Energizing your power of expression.
Each exhale releases any blocks or any tension.
Might be holding you back from expressing yourself fully.
From connecting with yourself fully.
Using the breath as a tool.
To let that all go.
Deepening your connection with yourself.
Now as the energy rises to the crown of your head.
Imagine a soft light radiating from the top of your head.
Let this light fill your mind.
Bringing a sense of openness.
Awareness.
And connection to your highest good.
Your higher wisdom.
Stay with this sensation.
Allowing it to deepen.
Now imagine yourself moving through your day.
And as you move through your day.
It's intention that is guiding your actions.
See yourself making choices that align with your values.
Speaking words that reflect your heart's truth.
And being present.
As you move through different moments of the day.
Notice how it feels.
To live intentionally.
To move through the world with intention.
Expressing yourself from a place of self-connection.
Take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Allow your intention to anchor within you.
Feel it being planted deeply into your mind and into your heart.
Know that you can return to this intention throughout your day.
And wherever you need guidance,
Clarity,
Or self-connection.
Gently releasing the mudra.
Bringing some movement to your fingers,
To your toes.
And slowly coming back to the space around you.
