Sometimes the winds can sweep us up. We can feel un-rooted and de-grounded making it difficult to think with clarity and connect with the center. There are five important subtle winds of the body. Each flows in its own direction and plays a unique and important role in physiology and energy. Prana Vayu flows from the outside in. Samana Vayu flows toward center. Vyana Vayu circulated away from centre. Upana Vayu flows upwards and outwards. Apana Vaya flows downwards and outwards. When these subtle winds are flowing in balance we can feel grounded, supported, and clear and can connect with our sense of self. The meditation fosters a balance of the five vayus.
