Hello,

My name is Cheryl Bailey of Grit and Grace Meditation and today I'm going to be sharing a chakra meditation When you're ready,

I invite you to come into a comfortably seated position Placing your hands in your lap or gently rest them at your side Sitting with a tall upright spine And I invite you to close your eyes And begin to turn your attention inwards You can take three long slow deep breaths in and out through the nose Signaling your body to come into a relaxed state Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm and depth And remember throughout this practice you don't need to do anything to control your breath Just let it be natural Feel your body and notice the sensations as you're sitting here in stillness Notice the sensations of sounds around you Sounds are rarely a barrier to our meditation,

So welcome everything around you Feel your body from the inside out And as I draw your attention to the areas of your body Without moving any muscle,

Just direct your gentle attention to each of the areas And allowing yourself to relax and release any tension that you may find Move your attention to your scalp And release any tension through your scalp and your forehead Softening through the corners of your eyes and your cheeks Relaxing your mouth,

Unclenching your jaw And softening the tongue in your mouth Tuck your chin in slightly and allow the back of your neck to lengthen just a little bit And soften through your throat Pull your shoulders away from your ears and relax them down your spine I invite you to drift your attention to the front side of your body and soften through your chest and your belly Moving your attention to the back side of your body and softening through your upper,

Middle and lower back Draw your attention to the lower half of your body Release any tension you're holding onto in your pelvis and sits bones Releasing any tension in both your right and left leg Relax through your hips to your toes Draw your attention to your whole body Relaxed and in stillness Notice the gentle sensations and movement within your body The heart beating,

Your pulse,

Or tingling or vibration sensations Notice the gentle rise of your chest and belly I invite you to rest your attention on your heart center and imagine looking inward towards your heart And then imagine your breath as it floats in and out through your heart space Imagining that your breath is moving in and out through your heart center Imagine as it floats in and as it floats out And if your attention should drift away,

Your thoughts should come up Bring your attention back here into this present moment Simply refocus,

Using your breath as an anchor Now let's move to our chakra visualization Feel your hips sinking into the chair or cushion that you're seated on Feeling fully supported and grounded Bring your attention to your tailbone at the base of your spine This is your first chakra,

Your root chakra or muladhara Imagine the roots of a tree grounding into the center of the earth through your feet Your root chakra represents the feeling of safety,

Security,

And allowing you to feel grounded The element is earth and the color is red Breathe in and state silently the affirmation,

I am strong The mantra associated with the solar plexus is ram,

R-A-M,

Ram Take a deep breath in and together we will chant ram Return to the silence and notice any sensations Drift your awareness to your heart chakra located in your heart center,

This is known as the anahata This chakra is about being connected,

About giving and receiving The ability to be in love The color associated with the heart chakra is green Breathe in and silently state the affirmation I am love The mantra for the heart chakra is yam,

H-A-M,

Your third eye chakra located at the center of your forehead,

Just between your brows This is also known as the ajna chakra It's your area of insight and integration Your intuition and your wisdom The color associated with your sixth chakra Your third eye is indigo blue Notice any sensations Breathe in and silently state the affirmation I am connected The mantra associated with your third eye chakra is sham,

S-H-A-A-M,

Sham Together we will chant sham Inhale Sham Returning to the stillness and anchoring your attention on your breath Bringing your awareness to your seventh and final chakra,

Your crown chakra located at the top of your head This chakra is also known as the Sahaswara chakra This chakra radiates upward And it represents the ability to be connected to all that is Seventh chakra opens up every intention you have planted in each chakra regarding your relationships and dreams Creativity,

Power,

Heart,

Voice and connection to source and is merged with the unbounded,

Infinite expanding flow of the universe The color associated with your crown chakra is white or violet I invite you to bring your awareness to the light that radiates from the top of your head Breathe in and silently repeat the affirmation I am divine The mantra associated with the crown chakra is om,

O-M,

Om Together we will chant om Inhale,

Om Now imagine a line of energy running along your spine connecting all of your chakras Feel it expanding from the crown of your head and your connection to the divine As well as running the energy along your spine all the way down to your root chakra as your roots ground you Growing in with a deep connection of Mother Earth I invite you to continue to sit in the stillness and feel that divine energy flow through your body Remaining in the silence for just a few more moments and I'll keep track of the time Solve any questions you may have Begin to take a few deeper breaths.

Starting to bring awareness back into your body.

Can wiggle your fingers or your toes.

And when you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes and stretch into the space around you.

I thank you for meditating with me today and I hope you enjoyed this chakra meditation and can feel the infinite energy flowing through you.

Have a wonderful day and Namaste.
