This recording begins with a lesson.
To skip to the meditation,
Go to 3 minutes and 50 seconds.
One of the challenges that we have as human beings is in wanting labels that make us feel good about ourselves,
And wanting to reject labels that make us feel bad about ourselves.
So I might believe that I'm not good enough,
Or I'm a super mom.
All these different labels that we put on ourselves after the words I am.
And the thing is,
If you're connected to your soul,
What you come to know is that the soul simply is.
There is a beingness to the consciousness that you are that exists beyond labels.
So though it might feel helpful to switch out of a worldview where I believe that I am not good enough,
Into a worldview where I believe I am good enough.
What if I allowed myself to exist in the knowing that I am?
And behind those two words,
There is a deep understanding that the creator of the universe,
Created me,
And you,
And all of us.
You are.
And just those two words allow you to come back to yourself,
To that pure,
Essential awareness of your soul.
And I believe this is why,
When Moses asks God,
What name can I use to introduce you to the people,
That they will believe that I have encountered you,
God answers Moses with the words,
Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh.
In other words,
I am.
And so it is with you,
Precious one.
Your being,
Your essential I am-ness is what connects you to the divine,
With blessings from Jerusalem.
I invite you to find a comfortable seat,
And close your eyes,
And place your hands over your beautiful heart,
The place where heaven and earth meet,
Where your body and soul kiss,
And invite your breath to expand and slow down,
Inhaling from this place,
And exhaling from this place.
And as you breathe,
I invite you to experience how your breath brings you home to yourself,
Precious one,
How the Neshima,
The breath,
Threads you back to your Neshima,
To your soul.
And I invite you to make a mantra over these words,
Breathing in,
And speaking out,
Of your heart,
Taking in life,
You are an expression of life,
Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh,
And exhaling out,
I,
Taking the divine into your lungs,
And exhaling out,
A yes,
Taking in a breath of life,
And exhaling out,
A choosing of life,
A breath,
A Neshima,
Feeling the connection with your soul,
With your Neshima,
As you say,
I,
Because precious one,
You are life,
You are life,
You are created by the divine,
To emulate the divine,
And just as the divine is,
Breathing in Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh,
And exhaling out,
I,
Is chosen,
And is created,
I invite you to come back into your body,
By wiggling your fingers,
And wiggling your toes,
And batting your eyes open,
Ready to bless the world,
With your gaze,
With blessings from Jerusalem.
