Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
My name is Michelle and I am so happy you are here with me today as we focus on finding intention and moving through the day.
I invite you to find a place of rest,
Perhaps a seat of which you're fond,
Your yoga mat,
Maybe your bed.
Perhaps you find yourself seated in nature noticing the world around you.
Wherever you are I invite you to recognize your commitment to this moment.
This moment is meant for you with no responsibilities,
No place you need to be,
And no commitments save the commitment to yourself.
I invite you to take a deep breath in,
Perhaps the deepest you've taken all day,
And sighing out through the mouth let it go.
Breathing in I know I am breathing in,
Breathing out I know I am breathing out.
Breathing in I know I am breathing in,
Breathing out I know I am breathing out.
As we find ourselves today in this moment,
In this meditation,
We recognize the uniqueness of it.
It's not yesterday's meditation nor will it be tomorrow's,
But we pay attention to who we are today as we sit down.
Breathing in I know I am breathing in,
Breathing out I know I am breathing out.
As we sit and feel our breath move within us,
I invite you to notice any sensations in the body,
Perhaps of tightness,
Pain,
Stress,
Or lightness.
Sending your breath to those places.
Breathing in I know I am breathing in,
Breathing out I know I am breathing out.
As we focus on our heart center,
Bring to mind your intention for the day,
Perhaps a word or two.
Some think of peace or center.
Others use mantras such as surrender,
Love,
Embody,
Trust,
Let go.
Whatever your intention is here today,
I invite you to honor it by saying it either out loud or in your mind's eye three times.
Breathing in I know I am breathing in,
Breathing out I know I am breathing out,
Breathing in I know I am breathing in,
Breathing out I know I am breathing out,
Breathing in I know I am breathing in,
Breathing out I know I am breathing out.
As we focus on our heart center,
I invite you to notice the way your heart beats as it pulses oxygenated blood through the body.
As we fill ourselves with fresh air letting it travel within us before releasing that which we don't need.
As we do so I invite you to imagine your heart's beats as the way in the transport of your mantra throughout the body.
As you breathe in and fill yourself sending oxygenated blood and intention to every part of your body and then exhaling and allowing any barriers or tension to release.
Breathing in I know I am breathing in,
Breathing out I know I am breathing out,
Breathing in I know I am breathing in,
Breathing out I know I am breathing out.
As you practice this meditation,
Perhaps there's a place of sensation in you where breath does not easily flow,
Whether it be through tension or pain.
I invite you to look upon it as a mere rock stuck in the way of a babbling stream,
Allowing the breath to push the rock through and the water of intention gently gliding on its way.
We know that water is not forceful.
We know that water is not stronger than rock.
But we know that through its persistence,
It can move mountains.
As we inhale,
We send our intention to those places of sensation.
And we exhale,
Releasing what we can.
Breathing in,
I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out,
I know I am breathing out.
Breathing in,
I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out,
I know I am breathing out.
As our meditation comes to a close for today,
I ask that you take note of how your body feels compared to the start of this meditation.
Whether there's been change in body or in mind,
I want you to pay honor to your willingness to sit and be still.
Feeling intention throughout the body and now as we turn to send the intention into our day.
As we move forward,
We know that the breath is always with us should we hope to return to this meditation.
We need not wander far.
Then simply focus on our heart chakra and allow our breath to fill us with intention.
Breathing in,
I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out,
I know I am breathing out.
We start wiggling our toes and fingers,
Bringing awareness to the extremities.
As we start to move and adjust.
And when you are ready,
I invite you to open your eyes.
